The Club House at the Fossil Creek Golf Club is very nice. It served as a beautiful spot for a small wedding. The course immediately behind the club were beautiful as well and added to the greatness of all the photos. Love this place!

If I could give the staff a ZERO I would. Their attitude is that you are lucky they let you play there and not that you are a customer to be honored. With all of the courses in the DFW area why play at a course where the employees don't care about the customer? The fact that we paid $34 for a prime tee time tells me others feel the same way. The course is good and well maintained and the grounds crew is obviously professional and cares about their job.

This is our 2nd year having our annual Christmas party at Fossil Creek. We can’t thank Julie Williamson and her phenomenal staff enough, for all their hard work! They ALWAYS go above and beyond. From out of town. Stopped in one day to rent(demo) a club to hit some range balls. One employee said yes sure even gave me a price. Showed up the next day and another employee doesn't allow a club rental. So unprofessional to say the least !

Any place that gives a bunch of no skill amateurs a bucket of balls and lets them drive into oncoming traffic is AWESOME. Would have given them five stars, but they won't let people hide in the bushes and throw rocks at passing cars. (Why one and not the other?)

I recently moved here and joined the prime membership. The course is great, but have had a couple problems while playing so far. They get way to backed up on nice days. Also, one time our cart ran out of battery, we had to call the clubhouse and it took about 20 minutes for them to finally get us and didn't even receive an apology or anything. Next, as I was just playing tonight we had to start on hole 7 as a tournament was also scheduled when my tee time was so we did. When we got back to the first tee box all the pins were removed. We tried to play some holes, but it just wasn't worth it. Went into the clubhouse as they knew we would be coming around the turn to finish up to let them know and again no apology or anything. Just, "the person was suppose to put rakes in." Then went off and never saw him again. I really like the course, but after experiencing a couple of these problems I just don't know if its worth it.

We held our rehearsal dinner here and the Fossil Creek team did a fabulous job! The food was outstanding, the logistics were smooth, and the staff was very organized. If you are looking for a special event venue with catering, I highly recommend Julie W and her event team here at Fossil Creek.

A good memorable layout in good condition. The staff was friendly and helpful too. I would recommend this course to others. It was pretty slow on a late Friday morning round. The carts are new with nice screens, but irritating with constant interruptions of the round with ads and gps controlled speed and locations allowed which actually shut the cart down and made me back up even though I was in the middle of a wide open field. Overall, I really like this course, though. It was well worth the price.

I'd leave a 1 star review everyday if I could. Inconsistent communication about open hours for the range. Depending on who you talk to you'll get a completely different answer. 90% of the time I'm here they only allow you to hit off the mats. I was just turned away bc they were doing maintenance. I was told this is done every Wednesday at 3:30 even though I've been plenty of Wednesday afternoons with no issues. It's a 30 min drive for me to get here.. They are supposed to hold frequent seminars for members although I've only seen one such event on the calendar since I joined in July. For the one event that was scheduled no one was here when myself and others had arrived. Do yourself a favor an go anywhere else but here.

This is a very nice course, always in very good shape. Challenging and fun. Staff is friendly and food is pretty good, too. Only thing keeping this from a 5 star rating is the pace of play. If you want to hope for a 4-4.5 hour round you need to tee off as early as possible. Despite all the talk about "ready golf" the course doesn't do much about enforcing it. They allow groups of 5 or 6 to go out. Members regularly just jump out on the course from their homes slowing down play. It takes more than talk and some videos on the GPS screen to maintain good pace! I still recommend the course, just be aware that a slow round is a definite possibility.

I love the golf course, but this review is based on the monthly membership program they have. I went in and personally canceled my membership and they have continued to bill me. I have called up there 3-4 times once speaking with with new general manager who told me he would look into the issue and call me back. I'm still waiting on that call as I have left a voice mail message for him and a message through another worker up there and have still not heard anything. I will go up there personally today so I hope he is working.

Lovely area and great staff. We rented the clubhouse for a wedding and the coordinators we're so helpful every step of the way. The staff members who actually worked the wedding we're professional and very attentive. I would definitely recommend this place for events and my husband and I intend to come back to actually golf.

Public course, well maintained, greens were very fast 2 days ago. Course is challenging but not overwhelming, great for fun but competitive golf with friends. Staff works hard to ensure you will be a repeat customer. Facility has driving range, putting green and chipping green, a wedding venue, meeting rooms, proshop and grill for bragging or whining over pub food and drinks. What more could you want?

Nice course though GPS on the carts are always helpful. Driving range is okay could use more yardage signage and the practice sand bunker needs some attention for sure. Overall course is in decent condition. Could maybe see the beer cart a little more than once a round. But maybe that’s why they have the little shack setup out there idk. This is my local course and one that do enjoy all the amenities offered as an arcis member.

Posting on behalf of my husband Sasquato. Zack Torres is a complete jerk. I came to the course before my tee time on a very cold day. They would not let me go off early even though it was one of those days where absolutely no one was on the course. I stood in their pro shop literally waiting to tee off. There was absolutely no one that played off number one the whole time I was waiting. I cannot say enough about how rude and unprofessional Zack and the entire staff are. Attitude always stems down from management so even though I didn’t meet Nic Edwards this day I guarantee he is not doing anything about the moral and empathy of his employees. They are all stuck up and horrible individuals. Why would you make someone stand there and wait if the tee box is wide open and was wide open for an hour. I will never come back to this facility again.

This isn't my first time here and won't be my last. Course is in great shape as usual, probably best around. A lot of courses in the metroplex had issues with their greens due to the winter but not here. Friendly staff and great value. Nothing to complain about. You should check it out!

I had my wedding here last night (outside ceremony) and was told my wedding was a private event and the golf course was closed off. I made sure to ask Julie twice about this because I didn't want to have golfers in my wedding photos or have them speeding around during the ceremony. Right before I was suppose to walk down the aisle I saw the golf carts and immediately confronted the guy who has been helping out during the wedding. He flat out told me he couldn't do anything about it. If i would have known the golf carts were going to be driving around during my wedding and showing up in my pictures i would have chose a different venue. If you're having an inside wedding this wouldn't be a problem. Other than that it was beautiful and the food was great!

Decent course. In winter they are one of the few around that have green fairways overseeded with rye. Has some fun neat holes and a few that are quite boring without much risk reward. Wish they could clean up some of the trash and waterway areas. Makes a few of the plain holes look really dumpy. Greens are usually really nice and true. You can find decent deals but usually the time restrictions for those mean very slow rounds. Typically in the afternoon the course gets really bogged down to a snail's pace. If you play before noon it is quite pricey but a lot less people. For the full rack rate price you can play at a few other places with more value. Clubhouse and bar area is nice at Fossil Creek.

Course is in OK shape...a lot of target golf and typical Arnold palmer greens. Starter is usually 20-30 minutes behind, even at 7am. Worth playing if someone else is paying and you have 5.5 hours, but not worth the moderate greens fees compared to other courses in the area.

Great Course for the Visitor. If your staying by the Alliance Airport area its worth the play. Decent prices, greens were running about 11. Fairways are cut perfect but if you get off into the rough, its definitely ROUGH. Not too much out of bounds but plenty of Water and Hazards. I played the Tournament and I am a 13 and it gave me a great challenge. No I did not shoot my Handicap. Pro shop is fairly stocked well and the food cart takes credit cards. The practice area for chipping was very small, about a 20x20 area. Putting green was small too, it was about 40x20. The range was very large, about 25 slots and hitting off the grass. Be aware they do have mats which I think they use as required. The bar is really a nice layout with a nice area for a party of about 20 people. They do enforce the no cooler rule and require 2 people per cart. So unless someone is walking in your group, you will be buddied up. Overall I hope to play it again and definitely improve my score.

Nice place to play a round of golf. Very hard course. There were two things that I did not like...first thing we only seen the beverage woman once during the entire 18 holes and the second thing is the people that were playing behind us hit into our group 4 times. I guess they were trying to speed us up but you can only play as fast as the group in front of you.

Beautiful course. Greens are in great shape. Several holes are very challenging and will definitely test your shot creativity. Can get quite crowded so we try and tee off early and beat the crowds. Usually only a few groups of regulars play before 7am tee times and they play super fast.

Fossil Creek is typically a good time but yesterday it took 6 hours to play 17 holes. We got up to 18 and their was 8 people on the tee box. As of late they have not been good about spacing tee times and the Marshal to speed up play is non existent. Guys at the pro shop are top notch though.

Incredble corse ... i love it ... always have ... it is in very good condition too, love the greens and challenging fairways, the staff is wonderful as well, i did have a bad experience there last time though - i left my sand wedge on a green and went back for it and nearly got into a physical altercation with a Latino who thought finders keepers, and knew nothing of golf edicate ... that is becoming more of a problem as population demands increase and education on corse edicate, corse management, and corse supervision is not as well maintained as it always had been for decades.

Held my daughter's wedding at The Golf Club Fossil Creek last week and it was amazing. Not the first event we have held at this venue. The food is always amazing, all the guests mentioned how good it was. Julie is the most helpful and patient person, we couldn't have done it without her! I highly recommend for your wedding or other event.

We always love playing this course. It is always in better shape than any other muni, and feels like country club quality. The bunkers are actual sand and not muddy, and the greens are in great shape, even in August.

We came here for a small wedding, and even though the weather did NOT want to cooperate, it was absolutely beautiful. The grass was thick and green, the trees swished high overhead, and the setting was just lovely. Now, it was very hard to hear any of the vows. This was a wedding of less than a hundred people, but the ambient swishy wind noise overpowered the talking. Also, there was a long, very steep walk out to the lawn from the building, which was challenging for some of the more elderly folks. It was mostly paved, but too steep for most wheelchairs to handle. The room inside was OK, with a small dance floor, and a separate room for a BBQ buffet.

I’ve given Fossil Creek many opportunities to show me a great, friendly staff - if you get there after 4pm you’ll find rude, inconsiderate pro shop help. Several occasions, in fact. I held the door open for a man carrying out a bucket of range balls tonight. I approached the counter amicably and the guy said “last bucket is sold an hour before sunset”. My iPhone showed sunset was 6:37pm, and I was there at 5:39pm - 58 minutes difference. After driving 25min, very disappointed. Whatever happened to taking care of people and customer service? I gladly would’ve purchased a small bucket instead. Awful experience consistent with what my peers have shared as well. Shame.
