You will see all the opinions of people who know the services of Old American Golf Club (Golf) in the area close to the state of Texas.
At this moment the firm has a score of 4.4 over 5 and this rating has been based on 93 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is quite positive, and it's based on a very large number of reviews, so we can conclude that the rating is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are satisfied, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to put scores when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

Ive not played there yet. I attended a meeting for lunch and the food was great. Nicely done!
Old American Golf Club is home to a well-rated and pleasantly testing golf course. This tree-lined and open parkland layout should not disappoint, with many attractive features and several excellent holes to enjoy. Inspired by the ‘Golden Age’ of American golf course architecture during the 1910s, '20s and 30's. One to include on your play list if you are in the area.

Vary beautiful place we exceptional people
Heard good things about the course so decided to play. Paid $150 and didn't feel it was worth it. I've played many, many other courses in the DFW area and this one does not warrant over double the price. I will say the people were nice but I would rather have spent my money on Grapevine, Waterchase or even Twin Creeks. The greens were in good condition, the fairways were average at best. The course can be challenging for a first timer. My carts GPS yardage was not accurate. I just cannot wrap my head around why they charge so much for such an average course. There was nothing outstanding about the layout. I'm a mid handicapper and found some of the holes very challenging, bordering on ridiculous and the only way to scope the hole out is with the carts GPS. If you've got the money to burn, go for it, but don't expect anything to write home about. I'll give it three stars only because the staff was excellent but I won't be going back. Once was enough.
Love this challenging course. A must play in DFW.
One of the best if not the best courses in DFW.
This is my new favorite course I can't afford.. I got a deal on IdealGolfer and played for $75.00.I enjoy the layout, course is challenging, the staff is very friendly and accommodating - A couple of days later I receive an email from the course inviting met come and play again for the same price.. Now that is customer service. - Regular price is a big high but its worth playing it at least once..
Nice course but way overpriced for this track! If you can get a good coupon deal on it give it a try but otherwise there are much better values in the north side of the Metroplex
Best golf course in Texas. Bar none. Different and difficult.
Awesome tract, perfect fairways, fast greens, plays like a PGA (or now, an LPGA) loop. A little pricey IMO, but a must-play course either way
Fresh garden to table meal on the beautiful lawn of Old American Golf Club

The food and service is excellent!
Great and challenging course, great staff, great food, and good times.
Nice course
Very good course. Very fair to a shot maker. Fairways and greens are exceptional. Traps need work because of all the rain. All in all a great golf experience. Highly recommend the course.
Very nice course. Some challenging holes will test your accuracy. Greens, fairways and tee boxes well groomed. Will definitely play again.
Excellence golf course. Played in January and was in great shape. Challenging holes, great views of lake. Can't wait to play again!
Paid 108.00 on Friday after 1 pm. I was excited because I heard great things about the course. If you pay $100 dollars for a course in DFW, you should receive quality. Layout - they need to rework the layout, impossible to walk. 9 and 18 does not finish by the clubhouse. They tried to hard to incorporate the lake into every hole. I'm ok with sand bunkers but at least have quality sand in the traps. Condition - for a $100 dollars worth, get your S#*+ together - enough said Theme - I get the "old american" theme but they failed miseraberly with the "old" vintage retro theme. If you want people to pay 100 dollars a round, please dump money back into the course rather than treating this like another lake course. Worst golf experience I've had in 5 years. Thanks

After playing a lot of golf in North Texas the Old American has quickly become my favorite. The course is challenging with water or tall native grass lining most holes as well as all of the waste bunkers strategically placed in landing areas. These are definitely hazards as they aren't the fluffy sand you're used to at most courses. The good news is that the local rule allows players to ground the club in all bunkers. If you're expecting white sand from Kailua-Kona, HI then the bunkers will disappoint, but I'm here to tell you, don't let it. The layout is beautiful with most all holes after #3 having a view of Lake Lewisville. Often I don't feel like I'm in TX but rather on vacation at a coastal Florida or California course. The GPS on the cart is great and first time players will definitely find the flyover video descriptions helpful as you pull up to each tee box. Water is provided in a cooler on the cart and the two large snack stations along the course offering snacks, crackers, soda, gatorade, and water. The clubhouse, while small, is very nice with a great restaurant and bar. I can't say enough good things about their food. The meatloaf sandwich is my favorite and the staff is very friendly and attentive. I'd recommend the course to anyone and when friends and family come in town to visit I make sure we play it. They've never been disappointed.
It's such a classic bar/eatery. You can have business meetings in here while having a good lunch by the great staff at this establishment.
This place is not prepared for the LPGA.. DISORGANIZED MESS. Not fan friendly at all. I will never return to this course.
The best course in town!!!
Relaxing, scenic, good food, good ambience, quality customer service by locals ask for Rachael she's a family favorite.
Very nice course. Some challenging holes will test your accuracy. Greens, fairways and tee boxes well groomed. Will definitely play again.
Awsome! Hidden Gem by the lake! Thought it was private course but it is open to the public. Came out for the LPGA Shootout. Will definitely be back to play! & bring your A game! It's a doozy! Enjoy
nice course
Excellence golf course. Played in January and was in great shape. Challenging holes, great views of lake. Can't wait to play again!
Had a beautiful evening here! My cousin got married and it was such a great time! Great staff too! Hopefully I will get to play some golf here one of these days, such great lake views!
I was working at lady pro golf tournament it big parking lot and nice lake but the club house is small and no bathroom inside u need more bathroom inside I get u guys a five star! But lady working at the bars u lady did a good job
Heard lots of good things about this course course but wasnt impressed.. Dont get me wrong it is a tough course and I am far from being a good golfer. But i didnt get the appeal. No water coolers along the way, only one beverage area. Fairways were in ok shape. The whole branding as a course the way golf use to be with waster areas, overgrown rough, just didnt do it for me. Plus the course seems a bit pretentious, at least that is what I feel from the members. Much rather play The Tribute at a lower cost and course is in great on condition. Plis the parking sucks here.
The course is in great shape. Great tournament this year.
Had a great time playing a scramble here
As a former member here, it's nice to be back at what I consider my golfing 'home'. Fantastic track that gets better with age. If you're a golfer up for a challenge, this should be where you head when in DFW.
What can I say? The food is amazing the staff is phenomenal and attentive and the views are spectacular. The majority of people I have met and interacted with (who frequent old American) have been very personable, polite, and friendly. It is truly a golfer's dream course.
Very inviting peaceful wonderful area to go and embrace the outdoors and a very casual delightful meals await you indoors catered by a wonderful staff.
Old American is a great golf course too bad the marshals and volunteers working the tournament tried their best to make it a horrible experience for the spectators. I saw a marshal yell at a guy because he walked through an open section of rope trying to get to another golf hole. The marshal acted like the guy tried to steal his car !! Then, the volunteers working the food/refreshment stands don't want to wait on people. I saw one stand with a line of 5 customers and the 4 people working the stand just stood there and look around. Too bad for the LPGA.

The servers are nice and interactive plus all of the food is great with many ingredients coming from there garden. The fries are the best.
Considering the amount of water the DFW area has received recently, the course is in absolutely phenomenal shape. Greens, fairways and tee-boxes are spectacular. This is a course that you will never get bored playing....nice range of tees that will provide even the best players a challenge at more than 7100 yards.....great classic layout/design where you will never hit the same shot twice no matter how often you play it......a true "golf club" where the shining star is the actual course, especially if you are a golf purist. IMO, OAGC is worth every penny I spend there as a proud member since 2010 (even at the public rate of $125-$150). Thanks to all of the staff for the great service. Special thanks and recognition to Mike McCabe (GM) for the fantastic job leading the charge.

Nice people, nice club.
I have played the Old American several times and I think it is super. Not only is the course very nice it offers incredible views of the lake. You should go see for yourself, you will not be disappointed. Roger Cheek
I just wrote a lengthy review totally ripping this golf course, and it was cut off, so, I'm trying again. The published descriptions of this golf course are very misleading- it is a Scottish course design, not classic American. There are no bunkers- only rock- hard waste areas. You cannot see what the hole looks like from the tee areas because of the abundance of waste areas and the rolling terrain. There are no directional signs and no hole descriptions, except for the GPS in the cart. One cart 's GPS did not work, and ours' volume was too low to hear. the $125 green fee should be $25- this is not a fun course to play. Hidden bunkers in the middle of the fairway and landing areas only add to the frustration. None of my three playing companions will ever go back. Worst mistake ever for me, second only to the Eisenhower course in City of Industry, CA. They need to re- do their course description in a big, big way. My playing companions were a very low handicapper, and two low teens handicappers. They hated it as much as I did. Good luck if you play this one.
Pricey but ok
Great neighborhood fireworks show!
Have played this course several times. It is certainly one of the best in the DFW area. Almost every hole has water views. This course has challenging holes and nice drives through nature with no homes or annoying fences to have to worry about. It is a day with nature, great golf holes and scenic water views.
Wonderful place! Its restaurant supply food was very delicious. The restaurant seats has nice landscape.By the way, restaurant waitress was very friendly.
