Really nice facility at La Cantera. Played the resort course with two friends. Friendly staff at club drop and pro shop. Large driving range, putting green and chipping area. Fairways and greens were in great shape. Some tight fairways. You will enjoy this course

Great round today, from bag drop to starter, who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The course was in great shape, greens were firm and slow in places but overall great having just been replaced 5 months ago. First class course and staff. I highly recommend it!!

Not the normal conditions the greens were bumpy and hard. Other than the greens the course was in good condition

We had a very enjoyable afternoon of golf. At the end of the rounds The bag attendant asked if we wanted our clubs cleaned which we took him up on that offer. The next day when we went to the resort la cantera golf course my husband's Nike sandwedge was missing. He used it on the last hole so we know it was in his bag. We called the course to see if maybe the bad guy had set it down after cleaning it and it just forgotten which bag it was to go in but when we spoke to Representatives they were not very interested. We were told we would receive a call back but that has never happened. This should not happen at such an upscale course and now I don't know if we'll return. My husband has gone to San Antonio from Oklahoma several times and s veral times within the week he's played at La Cantera courses. This is very disappointing and discouraging. We will make one more attempt to inquire what they will do to rectify this issue.

CITIZEN DAD

This is not a family oriented golf course. Friends that have taken there families say many restrictions for children. On top of that there was a shortage of cars and would have to walk with my 3 year old daughter. Management was strict, must not like children. I do not recommend this course...

Mike Vardeman is excellent as an instructor. He listens, analyzes, uses video for feedback and then puts you on a path of improvement. You can tell he has a passion for the game and enjoys his work. I have quite a bit of experience with golf instructors. Mike is very talented. I highly recommend golf instruction at La Cantera with Mike Vardeman.

If you are looking for a great golf experience with emaculate fairways and greens the La Cantera Resort Course is a blast! With the PGA's Valero Texas Open coming in a few weeks they were in major prep mode which also made it fun to imagine the crowds cheering you on or laughing at your poor shots. Even better is the twilight price of $65 after 3 pm. If I lived in S.A., I'd play it at least monthly if not more often for the amazing views, elevated tees, greens and more! J from Seattle
