Some fun elevation changes and good number of protected green make this a challenging and enjoyable course. Went beginning of April so everything was still dormant, but I imagine this course is really something when everything perks up. The VIP package is a memorable experience, with great food and friendly service, this course is truly deserving of the 5 stars. Would recommend and would definitely go back!

I would just like to give a big thank you to Nick Carlson. I had a refund dispute with Coybows Golf Club for over a month. Nick was outstanding in providing exellent customer service for me. He bent over backwards trying to figure out where the refund got held up. He was kind, accomodating and always helpful. Not only did I enjoy my round of golf at a great venue. I had an excellent experience when things didnt work out exactly as planned... Once again Thank you Nick. You deserve a raise.

The only thing that stopped me from giving this place 5 stars is because I'm a true die hard NY Giants fan and its just principle. Everything about this course is top notch. From start to finish the staff was attentive. The course was in great shape, the free food with the green fees is a nice touch, and the clubhouse has some great Cowboy gear. This should be a course you should play in Dallas if you like golf and football.

Decided to play with my closest family and friends for my birthday today. I was a bit skeptical of the $189 per round and see if it's truly worth it. But I'm a big fan of the Cowboys and I've heard some great things about it, so decided to give it a shot. Course: The course has some nice layouts and water shots are pretty, but the condition of the fairways and tee boxes were average. Greens were fast and well kept and bunkers had quality sand in them. I think they should put more love into the fairways and tee box areas. Carts: The carts are good quality with the touch screen GPS. Good move by management. Cart Girl Service: No complaints here. Good service and rolled around frequently. In 100 degree weather you need to see them more. Food: This is where there can be lots of improvement. I'm not sure if the service mediocre because it's free but it felt like that was one of the issues. We ate before our round and after our round and the best dish was the breakfast sandwich and that's because it was hot and fresh. Every other plate was cold, felt like it's been sitting out and poorly put together. I never got a refill and we were there for over an hour. I was never asked if I wanted more. We still tipped out of courtesy but major improvements are needed. Pace of Play: Started off pretty slow. Front nine was 2.5 hours. Had five guys in front of us and slowed us down. I guess they allow large groups. Eventually it got faster but it was because those guys left after 14 holes. I've paid more elsewhere then what I paid here to play on a "high quality" course before and I have to rank this course lower in comparison. Improve your food quality and service in the clubhouse/grill and be more attentive on the course pace. Put some Marshalls out there to speed it up. Give your fairways some loving and I think it will be worth that value. Management, if you read this and have more questions, email/call me. You have my number in your system.

I was here for a wedding. Whereas I am sure this is a fantastic golf course and facility. I am.also sure it is great for most events. But for (outdoor) weddings this is not the place you want to have yours. Again the facilities are nicy, the staff was great, the location is great. However, you must be aware that you are in the flight path for DFW airport. Approximately one third of the ceremony we could not hear. It was quite saddening.

Top notch! I was tempted to give it 4-stars because we couldn't find a breeze on the course during our 90+ degree day... BUT.... Good golly miss molly! Them Cowboys Golf Club employees are some of the coolest people on earth! From the staff in the Ring Of Honor Kitchen and Bar, to the Marshall's on the course. This place is amazing! And the course itself demands that you bring your A-Game! Come on, now! We had a great time today during the Labor Day Scramble and will be back for another. I wish I could afford to play it more. Great job CGC! See y'all next time!

Having played at Cowboys before my expectations were high. I was disappointed to find that the greens had been aerated and still a bit of a mess. I was also disappointed to find out that by playing at twilight I would get the short end of the deal by not getting to eat at the restaurant before or after my round. Something not posted on the website. Although the round was discounted due to twilight, the condition of the greens and the missed meal did not balance out. The cart girl only came by once late on the front nine and was sorely missed on the back. I will go back, but won't make the mistake of expecting a deal or not calling to get course conditions first.

Shocked at the good reviews I’m seeing. My wife and I were visiting from Florida played on 4/22/19, was a birthday gift. Positives: 1) Restaurant/bar area, outside lounge area 2) Driving range I guess 3) Midway snack bar 4) Course make up/look Negatives: 1) No starter, everyone just went when they wanted. Had a group of SEVEN in front of us, absolutely RIDICULOUS!!! 2) GPS only worked some of the time 3) Conditions of the course, fairways BAD, greens HORRIBLE!!! Lake Park in Lewisville takes better care. Pics posted was pretty common 4) At one point we were on the green and some random guy (assuming an employee) pulls up talking on his phone, proceeds to walk towards the green. My wife asks “may we help you?”, he shakes his head no and continues to talk on his phone. WTH???? Bizarre 5) My wife is preparing to tee off and the young lady working at the mid way bar comes flying by in a golf cart. Doesn’t stop, wait or even acknowledge she’s teeing off. Again WTH??? Between the condition of the course and lack of professionalism it’s ABSURD paying those kinds of green fees. If I was Jerry Jones I would be embarrassed to take a VIP to this course. Disappointed to say the least

Nice golf course. Your round includes, golf, cart, range balls all the food and non alcoholic drinks you want. Course was in good shape. Some risk reward holes. All the food I had was very tasty. It's expensive, check the tee time page in July and August. When it's too hot, prices sometimes get lower. Even if not a cowboys fan, go play it, wear YOUR team colors, I did

I rode along with my boyfriend who loved the course. The amenities are excellent. They keep you stocked with cold water and are always checking to make sure you are doing ok. Great staff and very well kept course. I docked 1 star because the airplanes flying over you every few minutes took away from the peaceful experience, but the course is right next to one of the busiest airports in the country. Also, food is very good in the clubhouse. We ordered a couple small bites to go before tee time. When we finished up, we ordered a sit down meal. I ordered a shrimp salad and noticed one of my shrimp was not cooked fully which made me lose my appetite. But you really do get alot for your money.

Use to be a great place for a great round of golf but now like most courses managed by Arcis they are getting greedy. Went from 10 min tee times to 7 to 8 min tee times. So you literally wait on EVERY SHOT, takes the fun out of the course and for the price this shouldnt be the case. I use to play here 10-15 times a year and recommend it to everyone now I am doing the opposite. It's just an over priced muni with slow play at this point!! Way to f it up Arcis!!

Best bet is to skip the high rates and book later in the afternoon. Free (and good) food and drink throughout your round is awesome. You’re near an airport, so expect ~100 planes to fly overhead in an average round. They failed to mention that all the sand traps were undergoing renovation when we were playing. Tee boxes were a little beat up. Greens were decent.

Simply loved playing on this course. The staff in the Pro Shop is very helpful. The Clubhouse is very nice. I hired the Golf set and the cart. Made my Tee time n off I went. Hats off to the course designer, the curator n the grounds men for maintaining such an immaculate course. It was a reasonably hot afternoon, but the cold water in the icebox on the cart helped keep me cool, though the lovely breeze also helped. Food n non-alcoholic drinks on the course were part of the cart hire.

I have been a member of this club for two years. Services have degraded. The club frequently host events which, the club then closes the course, and practice area to the members. The club’s website calendar did not reflect any events, and rarely does. The course plays slow. It is not managed well, and lacks marshall’s to encourage players to keep a reasonable pace of play. Consequently, when teeing off the number one hole a player should be prepared for a five hour, even a six hour round. The food is nothing special. I can live with that. I go to play golf, not to eat fine food. It is time to re-evaluate and look for other options.

Course was in great shape. Staff was friendly and had no problem with pace of play. I think $185 is a little steep but add in all the food and you can eat and non-alcoholic drinks and it might be worth it. The food was really good too. They do have deals where it's $99 that's worth it. I had no complaints and I'll probably go back.

We had our club’s annual golf outing here in the spring after quite a bit of rainfall - unfortunately, the condition of the course is not what it has been over the years. The prestige of the property is fading, and they have no one rooting for them harder to get it back than me - especially to justify the pricetag. Best of luck to these guys returning the course to the shape it’s been perennially since opening.

Went for a cousin's quincé. Beautiful place, serene atmosphere. The staff was very attentive. A must see for any die hard Cowboy fans. The bathrooms were clean and felt more than just a place to relieve yourself. Spent more time outside and enjoyed the weather and the little waterfall just as much as the interior even despite the locations close proximity to DFW.

I played here on Labor Day in a 2-person scramble with my wife and some friends. The weather looked iffy and before the round, we went to purchase some rain gear for my wife as she accidentally left hers behind... Definitely our oversite, but we were ready to purchase what she needed and move on. They did not have one single piece for men or for women! Not one!... Not a good sign! Note - I play 75-100 rounds every year and like to try new courses in my native Florida and around the country, so this wasn't my first time playing in the rain. With the proper gear, a reliable cart, and strategically placed shelters, it's not a big deal. We had prepaid the round several months ago and were looking forward to playing at "Jerry's Course" as a team, and so we decided to brave the elements and play. As I got to the golf cart, I noticed that there was not a back cover to protect our clubs from potential rain which got me concerned, but the rain had stopped and so we chose to play. FYI - The course is right under the DFW flight path, so be prepared to have planes either taking off or landing every few minutes. A distraction to be sure. Overall, the course itself is very nice, but a little boring as far as "scenic," "majestic" or beautiful views". A few holes have interesting elevation drops, there are some which have undulating fairways, and there are a few challenging holes that required some lay-up vs go-for-it choices, and it was enjoyable UNTIL the skies opened up! We tried to play on, but ended up completely soaking wet as the lack of shelters and lack of rain cover on the cart forced our hand and we had to abandon the round after 16 holes. We were not alone as we saw a lot of others racing to find the clubhouse with makeshift towels or umbrellas covering themselves and their golf-clubs. Not a pretty site! Note - There were also a limited amount of rest rooms facilities (7 & 11), so plan accordingly... We started on 9, and once we passed the facility on 11, we never saw another facility until potentially the clubhouse after 18, but unfortunately - it is not especially close to 18 green... sigh... The staff was very nice and accommodating , but even without having any rain gear in the pro shop - there was also a disappointing lack of general inventory overall. What was available had prices that seemed to be especially jacked-up, which we sort of expected, but were bummed that it was proven true. Though we enjoyed our time together, we walked away generally disappointed as we had very high expectations and were very surprised at the lack of attention to detail. If it didn't have the cache of being the Cowboys Golf Club - I would rate this course as a "B ". A medium-to medium-high level municipal course that is overly-priced and would not rise to any extra-special status. If i lived nearby, it would not be in my normal rotation of courses to play, but on a sunny day i would try it again. Stay away if there is even a hint of rain and be prepared to pay extra for your (limited) amount of Cowboys memorabilia. FOLLOW-UP: As a follow-up to my previous post. I received a very nice call from Nick - one of the Pros/Managers from the golf course. He was very generous and genuine during our conversation, and I feel like he really cared about my feedback and comments. He even asked my opinion about some things that I did not mention, and i felt like he really heard me and cared about what I had to say. As a result, I'm not going to change my comments above, as I feel that they are accurate, but I would like to add that I will definitely come back and play this course in the future. When a course is run by people like Nick and his staff, it's worth the benefit of the doubt. I wish the overall experience had been better, but Nick's call was a welcome surprise and much appreciated.
