The Horseshoe Bay Resort is home to four 18-hole championship golf courses. Located at the Cap Rock clubhouse are the Apple Rock and highly-rated Ram Rock courses, both designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. The Apple Rock course is a well-rated and pleasantly testing layout. One to include on your play list if you are in the area.

Apple Rock is, in my opinion, the best of the Horseshoe Bay Resort courses based on a combination of challenge and beauty. It is not as difficult as Ram Rock, but it is close and much prettier. From the tips, it is a very challenging course with much sand and water.
