REVIEWS OF Nashboro Golf Club IN Tennessee

Jacob Clapham

Fun course, there were some really challenging holes. Tee boxes were in rough shape though

talent powell

I've lived in the condominiums close to the golf course for 10 years, honestly am sick and tired of golf balls denting my vehicles. I am suggesting you convert to balls that contain chips much like the ones at top golf. The golfer should be fully responsible for any cost in damages while golfing on property within the club. its simple

The current staff has brought this course back. Play here almost every week.

Adrian Ellington

Do not go here. The staff was very disrespectful. My group spent a total of $600 between greens fees and beverages. We were hounded about playing faster although no one was behind us. The coarse is in terrible shape and the prices are too high. I do not recommend this coarse to anyone.

Nashboro GC is the place to be ! New ownership and new staff as well as the new mini verde greens easily make this the most improved course in town. It has always been one of the best layouts and now it is in the best condition that I have seen it in many years. The new restaurant On The Green Pub & Grille has great food plus liquor by the drink where most places only have beer. Nashboro is back !

jon schwartz

Great greens, challenging layout, good pace of play.

Great value close to downtown. This course has been significantly improved since last year. It’s always been a good design. Now it is in great shape. Greens are fast and well maintained, fairways and rough are well attended. Check this place out if you haven’t played here in a while.

Andy Hillman

I was heading to Nashville area and looking to get a round of golf in with our group. After reading reviews here on this golf course I will NEVER set foot on this course. I've golfed some of the worst up kept golf courses, that have had the friendliest staff and made the day a great experience. The staff at Nashboro sound like a Nightmare. And it doesn't matter if a golf course is an amazingly groomed and up kept course if the staff can't fit the part. Hey, after all, isn't this suppose to be a gentleman's game?

CRAIG ALAN

The course is in the best shape it has been all season. No doubt it is the best value in Middle TN. it doesn't get better than Mini Verde. Greens are holding very nicely

The experience is excellent. One of the best public courses in Nashville! Course improvements very appropriate. Hybrid Bermuda greens really maturing. New fairway and green sprinkler system. Course has come a long way and is now one of the best and most challenging public layouts in the area

Bruce Wentworth

Course is in great shape and Pro Shop staff are super , Great golfing experience

Linda Wells

I am quite surprised by some of these reviews. I play there at least once a week and sometimes twice. I have never seen anything other than the most friendly staff going out of their way to ensure the players are enjoying themselves on the course. The course is continually going through improvements and I doubt any other course in Nashville welcomes improvement suggestions as this course does. This is a challenging course for all skill levels and the surrounding are quite beautiful. On most days, you'll be welcomed by wildlife despite the fact it is in a heavily populated area. In my opinion this is one of the best courses Nashville has to offer. I know the owner and staff are top notch!

One of the best greens in town. If not the best. Running 13+ on the meter. The rest of the course could use some maintenance.

If there was a way to give an infinite number of stars, it would be for Nashboro Golf Club. A course in phenomenal condition and kept up by Nashville's finest gentlemen should never go unnoticed. Love and family makes this course a home. Love you guys!

I've been playing Nashboro for the last three years, always been a great experience - until yesterday. The guy in the pro shop was a complete jerk that paired me and three others into a four-some without any prior communication (being we book on golfnow.) The course was wide open, yet he still forced us to play together and sent us off the back. Once we played the back 9 , we ran into a long line to go off number 1. I quit after 9 in extreme frustration. The guy in the clubhouse did not handle the situation well, AT ALL. I have no patience for mistreating paying customers. I will never return to Nashboro due to this one bad experience. This is what I told the jerk, giving him once last chance to correct the situation. He didn't care one bit.

Wesley Ireland

This place is terrible. The round started of bad when they charged us for 18 holes when we had a tee time for 9; They then refused to issue a refund. The round took a particularly terrible turn when grounds keeps refused to clear the fairway for us to play through on two separate holes. The stood directly in our path looked at us, and then continued to shovel sand. There is a terrible amount of noise from the surround areas and a complete lack of trenquility. I personally play to relax and enjoy some time outside, sadly this was not the case during this round. I would highly recomend playing other local courses. They are better maintained and the people maintaining the courses understand basic golf etiquette. In response to your reply: Hah! Second chances are for drug addicts not businesses. The way we were treated at your course was completely unacceptable. I will certainly never step foot on your course again and I will encourage every golfer I meet to do the same!

Ken Haney

Course was in great shape, fast greens

Calvin Rutgerson

I laughed at some of these reviews since the lay out of this course is challenging and the course itself is in great condition! Staff is upbeat and willing to help; even the cart boy works hard to assist customers. If you want a challenging course with some awesome burgers on the turn, Nashboro is a great place to be!

Course was in good condition and the fairways are in excellent shape. A few greens were burnt around the edges but for the most part were in excellent condition. Staff was friendly and courteous. Big THANKS from veterans.

Ben Thomas

Paid for 18, got 9 in and wasn't interested in any more than that. Rude staff, rough fairways. Every other business we visited in Nashville was friendly and hospitable. Disappointing.

For a public course, it is well maintained. The tee boxes could use some leveling but the greens are in great shape and roll true. Fairways were mowed close and rough wasn't to thick. I traveled to Nashville on business and had never played golf in Nashville so I just picked it by the reviews. Great deal, $26 with cart 18 holes. Nice staff, I didn't get to utilize the bar and grill but there were some great smells coming from the grill

Jordan Buser

Great deals on greens fees and the course is pretty well maintained

June 16th my foursome came down from Chicago we made a mistake and drove a cart next to the green, the group was confronted aggressively by Jeff Page the club pro, they were told in no uncertain terms to move the f...ing cart and the driver said ok and went to move the cart while the other occupant stood their in disbelief that he was being spoken to in that manner and the pro said to him what are you staring at which he replied what are you staring at, that is when I walked up and said to the pro be respectful.. Now prior to me stepping in hes yelling at all of us YOUR OUT OF HEAR, YOUR OUT OF HEAR.. for simply making a mistake with the cart, all he had to say was please move the cart and it would have been over. So then he calls the owner David Waynick who shows up in a couple minutes and we start to explain what we did and we tell him that his pro said move the f...ing cart and the pro denies that he said it... and David yell's SHUT UP at us, he says he wants to talk to his pro to decide if they will allow us to continue, so he comes back we start to explain again and he yells SHUT UP to us 3 more times and asks where we are from we tell him Chicago and he says that figures (I am not surprised he says) probably because the Hawks kick their ass on a regular basis! So we want to finish our round and we painfully shut up as he asks and he proceeds to explain the rules of golf to us and says if we do anything else he will remove us from the course.. Now we had a few beers and I am the driver for the group and I say to my group these guys are out to get us and we are going to Uber it back to our hotel because I do not trust them they are unreasonable people and out to get us.. so one person in my group has not played golf before and looses 2 clubs at the course and we decide to leave and hopefully they get turned in and I would pick them up in the am when I come back to get my car.. what happens next is telling about who these people are.. Two of us are in the Uber going back to the hotel and I get a call from Ronnie @ Nashboro who says we have your clubs and what kind of car are you driving (why would he ask... because we believe that they were going to call the cops on us and get one of us busted, why else would they ask us about the car we are driving? We also heard Ronnie speaking to someone on 2 different calls saying that yes they are still hear and that he didn't know and would call him back, so you tell me what they were trying to do.. These are bad people and this course is less than perfect find somewhere else to play, its not worth it if you are from Chicago stay away!!

My wife and I are new to the area and decided to try Nashboro out as it’s only about 20 minutes from our home. It was far and away the worst golfing experience we’ve had. We showed up 15 minutes early and were greeted by a nice gentleman. Upon directing us to our cart he informed us that we would be paired with another team of two. We were caught off guard since there was no mention of being paired up front and, had we known prior to, we wouldn’t have paid the $60 to come. On the 3rd hole I drove the cart about 10 feet off the path to grab a ball and was met by a furious Nashboro employee driving the course with another coworker. He slammed his brakes and angrily waved me over to him “what do you think you are doing?!” he yelled. He continued by telling me that on any par 3 you shouldn’t be on the grass, and under no circumstance should you be within 50 yards of the green. I had no clue and told him that we were unaware, this was an honest mistake. He continued aggressively yelling, to the point I thought we might get into a physical altercation, “if you seriously don’t know the most simple rules of golf you have no right to be on the course to begin with. I would be in my full right to kick you off the course right now!” We we’re not drinking, not being loud or rude, just simply trying to enjoy a sunny Saturday at a new golf course we thought would be our go-to moving forward. Although the large, white bearded gentleman hesitantly shook my hand at the end of our discussion we left in shock and had a terrible rest of the day. We will make the extra 10 minute drive and go to a golf course that treats their customers like humans next time.

Tony Skinner

So disappointed. I was beyond excited to play this course, it looked great. Too bad the employees there went out of there way to make sure there was zero fun or enjoyment to be had. This is by far the worst golf experience I have ever had! Save yourself the time and money. This place is terrible!!! The course is run by the worst staff in the world!!!

Jeremy Gordon

Disc golf course is fun. Pay course, can rent golf carts or walk.

Juanita Graves

Went there and they were rude and inconsiderate.

Angi Wallace

Beautiful course. Tee' s need some work but the layout and course overall is beautiful. Not easy, but not horribly difficult either.

Charles Simmons

Colin Shotts

very well maintain, nice staff who are extremely knowledgeable! they even have a nice disc golf course and driving range, clubs for rent and sale along with other golf merch.

Dusty Farmer

Have been playing this course over 30 years and it is in the best condition I have ever seen. If you wish to have your game challenged it will be. If you are looking for something easy go to Riverside.

Andy Carlton

Mike Perry

Tim Emory

Awesome. Friendly service. Most definitely will be back

Kyle McLain

I highly do not recommend this golf course. The course manager was rude and disrespectful, lied to me, overcharged me by $160 (I had a group of 9 people), and after everything would not correct the charge. The course was in terrible condition. There was no difference between the fairway and rough. The greens were awful. The sand could hardly be called sand and there were close to no interesting features to the course that made it enjoyable to play. I will NEVER be coming back to this course and I left angry and incredibly disappointed. Save yourself the trouble and please choose a different golf course to play at.

Poor staff. Guy that will take your money is a straight up jerk. He has run friends of mine off and I've had him be a jerk to me for the last time. I will not return

Tatiana Thomason

The course is in great condition.

Randy Rodden

Great condition. Great greens.

Nashboro Golf Club is one of Middle Tennessee's finest golf courses. Under the new ownership, great changes have been made to improve the quality of the facilities as well as the playing experience. Everyone is enjoying the new Mini Verde greens, the new Yamaha golf cars, On the Green bar and grill, as well as the other countless personal touches around the club.

Tim Lanier

Nashboro takes good care of the course and the members of the MGA. It is probably the best value in all of middle Tennessee.

Greg Paris

Very disrespectful staff. If you have a group of people trying to have a good time, then I would not recommend this coarse. They act like they are the only coarsd in town. The coarse isn't worth $20. Do not go here.

Michael Cochran

Nice place to grab a burger and beer after golfing. Nice view of the course. Outdoor BBQ. Limited menu, but the burger, hot dogs and fly are good. Great please for large groups. Available for renting out for HOA meetings.

The course was in good shape. I've played here many times.

JD Young

Played here last week. This course has made a complete rebound! It is nothing like the old course. The new management has really devoted the time and effort to make Nashboro a prime spot again. The newly renovated club house and On the Green bar and grill make for a great spot to relax after a round. The staff is more than helpful with anything you need. If you are hesitant because of what Nashboro used to be, I say to you give it a try. You will be impressed with what has changed. Don't pay attention to reviews that were done years ago or to people who "had their tires slashed". This course has been revitalized and trust me; you won't be disappointed!

Patrick businda

Do not play this course! Greens are the worst I have ever seen. They say they had vandalism and had to patch some of the greens. They were unplayable and they still charged full price of $49! Not to mention the bunkers were mud, not sand. Will not play again.

I have been playing at Nashboro golf course for over 20 yrs. Nashboro is one on the most challenging golf courses around. The staff is really doing a good job trying to make your experience a good one. There are a lot of us old timers that still play there and there is nothing I would take for the memories and friendships I have made at this course. Jeff is the pro there and the new management has made big improvements in the last couple of years to give this old course a upgrade. Great place to play.

Charles Kildgore

Zach Kirsch

Course was in very rough shape. Nothing was trimmed around the edges and half of the fairways were not mowed. They were putting new grass on every green on the fringes and did not tell us anything about this when booking it, and we even called the pro shop to book. This course is NOT near worth $39. We attempted to tell the pro shop attendant about some issues and he blew them off by saying the course was the best in the area and we did not know what we were talking about. Will not be back to say the least.

Gary Witte-Hobbs

My wife and I played here on Monday October 9. We got a great deal on green fees which included the cart. Club rental was $20 each for the round and the equipment was reasonable. Multiple teeing areas allows for a range of skills. I played the yellows while my wife played the pinks. Found the fairways to be wide and there were a couple of holes which had a creek or water hazard. Some bunkers at strategic corners in fairways and around most greens. Greens were in very good shape and rolled fast considering they didn't mow that day. We pretty much had the course to ourselves and played in just under 4 hours. Very friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

Billy Sullivan

Nathan Tuttle

Descent golf course. A couple of long hole with some challenging blind shots. Affordable price on the weekdays. Friendly staff.

Marty Thompson

Really done the course up. Way nicer than it used to be.

Kevin David

Not manicured or kept up the greatest. Has potential, as it was better maintained 10 to 15 years ago.

Jerry Garrett

Great day for golf

Jim Rucker

If you haven't played here recently they have redone the greens and are now fantastic. The greens were horrendous for many years and the reason I stopped playing out there. You can find some deals on Golf Now too. This is a fairly challenging course so not a good choice if you're new to the game or not a decent golfer. They have a driving range but it is the worst one I've ever seen. Their practice green is small and not flat. Don't come here to practice.

Alan Collins

Still the best public course in Nashville. Gettin better every day!!

Miranda Loera

If I could I wouldn't even rate this place 1 star. I brought in 2 of my own drinks and one of the staff members i didnt get his name but he was black and was so rude to me, asked me if I personally brought alcohol into a bar and gave me attitude. This was my first time here and my last time!!! Plus the golfers have no respect for others when calling out that they are shining behind you!!

jim farmer

Elaine Pearce

Great Public golf course for with cheap greens fees. Good for beginners and average golfers. Professional staff that is always happy to help.

Thomas Stewart

Tee boxes overgrown&over watered in front of greens. Green run true. Nice 19th hole.

Mohamud Ali

Jake Hart

Course was alright, greens were great but the staff was very rude. No outside liquids allowed. $14.99 for a 6 pack

Robert Heird

Worst golf experience ever. Tee Time wasn't available when the confirmation email said it would be, staff was horrendously rude and not accommodating, not too mention after pre-paying for the round we had to pay again to be able to play as there system lost the reservation. Save your money, there are far nicer courses in the area with much more accommodating staff, pleasant environment, and a course that's actually in good shape. From other reviews, you can tell the staff is worthless. Ranger and pro aren't worthy of welfare payments.

I play here often and I've never had any problems. Course is in good shape. Pace of play is usually really good.

NGC is the spot to be if you love playing golf on a course with a tricky layout and quick greens. Nashboro has been under new ownership now for almost a year; there have been great changes to the course over that time. The installation of the mini verde greens is the biggest thing along with many other fixes. On The Green (the bar) is also a fun spot to be..if you like good service and friendly company.

Jay Upton

I'm not generally one to write reviews about things even when I have a bad experience. I have to make an exception here. Was in town for CMAFest and squeezed in a couple rounds around town. Based on the reviews I was excited about playing here. If this course has bounced back from what it used to be I can't imagine how rough it may have once been. The course is still pretty ragged and not worth the $50 I paid to play it. That really is the issue, the course has promise and the Pro Shop AND Grill staff was awesome, but its really rough around the edges and still is not worth the rate charged. My irritation with the course was amplified due to the fact that there was no ranger and the group ahead of me was turning my day into a 5.5 hour round.

bad attitude by the clubhouse rep. May be because i looked like someone who didn;t belong to the elite club. I just took some driving range balls to practice.

Great course for the price point. Probably the best kept greens of any public course in Nashville and the staff is very friendly.

Great place and great people

Rude staff, construction all over the course, not worth the price.... SUCKS!

Robert Cala

If you love golfing and you're a Veteran, I invite you to came and play all day, cart include for just $25.00 ( I mean....all day) not just a raound. They are Veteran6friendly, and have this offer whole year round on Tuesday. Worth to drive up there and have a lot of fun in this well cared place. It's an easy course with some challenging holes but very friendly especially for beginners.

James Brown

I just played the course dont walk it to many hills and spaced out but tight on some holes open on some makes you shape it off the tee greens are fast but roll true. Only bad thing is the fairways are spotted on some but still a nice place to play for the price. They are working on the practice range and the putting green.

Will Wagoner

Confusing to get to. Decent course. Good staff.

Jim Carroll

For those new to Nashville and especially those who have played Nashboro in the past, please take the time to play the "New Nashboro". The new owners saved this treasure from Mayor Dean's green scheme. The great layout is still there, but if you haven't played Nashboro recently the New Nashboro must be experienced to appreciate what it has become; from the upgraded snack bar, On the Green, to the course with the addition of the new devilish Mini Verde greens. Any past reviews on the condition of the course are irrelevant. These greens and the overall maintenance of the course truly signals that Nashboro is back! Enjoy.

Ken Stewart

Great place, and fair price for seinors

tjdals79

Played on last week course was not in good shape ..

jconnaway

Visited Nashboro again this past weekend for the first time in a while. Course was in pretty god shape. No need to take a cooler though because you cannot take it onto the course with you. Pretty disappointing even if its just water and sammiches in your cooler. I was literally approached by "security" while trying to take mine in. Also, no carts in the parking lot. Whats with all of the rules and regulations?

Zach Benson

Played the course yeaterday and course conditions were terrible. Fairways and rough were hard to tell a apart. Grass appears to not be growing despite all of the rain we have had. Course ran out of golf carts leading to 2 of our 3 tee teams being delayed by 20 minutes. Course staff were extremely rude. Staff was more concerned with golfers having outside beverages and perception of their “members,” than actually catering to paying patrons. Highly reccomend not playing this course, not worth the cost.

The course needs a little work I am sure that it has the potential to be an amazing course it just needs some TLC

Byron Mcquay

Nice interesting holes. Obviously it's dry there, but if you get some rain, it would be even better. Greens are smooth and true. Good challenge.

Michael Marchese

Greens and fairways were fabulous for this time of summer

John Moss

This is by far the worst managed Golf Course in the country. I've lived here all of my life, and I've played this course over a hundred times. The current staff here is the rudest and most unfriendly that you'll ever see anywhere. Don't waste your time and money. You know there's a problem when the head pro is the one who's cutting the grass. You will hear gunshots and sirens constantly. The last time we played, the cops were chasing criminals across the course and tazing them. One criminal got away and kept running back and forth across the fairways. This is a dangerous place. I was wondering why there were only three cars in the parking lot at 8:30 in the morning. Now I know. Make sure you have your carry permit and your gun with you if you play. There is an idiot named Willie who works in the Pro Shop who is too stupid to know that he is stupid. He seems to want to do everything he can to keep people from playing there. He is on some kind of a Power Trip. The guy is a complete moron. I wouldn't play here again even if it were free. Stay away!

Charlie Davenport

This course is in good shape... Play it and bring them some money for maybe just a bit of sprucing up but seriously, one of the more challenging and fun courses... And priced right for senior anyway...

Rumple Stilsken

Some of the best greens in Nashville period! Stay below the hole and play more break than you see, once the putt gets on the low side of the read it runs an extra foot or two away from the hole. No comparison to what it was to what it is now, so much better now.

Mike Burklin

Great Course, Great Staff, Greens are Fantastic if you like "FAST"

Jacob Miller

Worst golf course I’ve ever experienced, random closings because they “just redid the greens”. Meanwhile the parking lot has 20 cars in it and people are still playing. Fat lazy employees that don’t want to work or want to close early. I’ve played here 3 times and the fairways are always trash and the greens are terrible. Worst course I’ve ever played.

Jason Flanagan

I played here this morning the course is in terrible condition granted we have had a lot of rain and it is that time of the season but I am writing this review because they are charging 39 dollars to play totally not worth it at most a 25 dollar golf at best
