A well run course in a fantastic setting. My only criticism is the course condition didn't really meet what I envisioned a Championship course would be like. Maybe it's still very early in the season, but the greens were looking a little jaded and over used.

One of three golf courses at Myrtle Beach National. South Creek very challenging, but risk reward. Will use all your clubs in your bag. Great course.

Could not finish hole #1 due to the sprinklers for the green were on. Hole 7 also had sprinklers running on the fairway and the maintenance crew would ride by on their equipment while people were trying to play. Hole 8 again had sprinklers running on the tee boxes. No rangers, group in front of us playing captains choice and held my group up for most of the round.

The course was in fine shape when my threesome played on September 11th. 7:38 am tee time led to 1:45 minutes front nine. Then the delays began at the turn. The course sent three elderly foursomes out ahead of us on the 10th hole. Almost 3 hours to play the back nine in 90 degree heat. Wait on every hole. That's poor management that's calculated to maximize revenue and to hell with the other customers. Would never go back there.

The course wasn't the best we played during the weekend. Understandably, the course had taken beating during a week of heavy rain. It was still decent and playable. However, the gentleman working in the clubhouse was an @ss. He was very snark for no truly obvious reason. For instance, our tee time was at 7:30. At 6:50 we try to check in with a registration reservation number from the online site provided by the official booking service to the course. This chump tried to give us flack for not printing the number off and bringing it in. Yes, we were in their system already. He then goes on to say that they were really not open at the moment. Crazy! I had to walk away. I could go on and on. My advice to you is to read other reviews. I'm not the first one comment on the lack of courtesy from this staff. This was on 5\16\15 at 6:50am. I won't be back & neither will the guys that were in invited.
