This Golf belongs to the category of Golf club.
We played the Palmetto course. The staff was great and we loved the layout. Slow play was an issue as the group in front of us played from the tips and should have been playing the ladies tee. The course is in a great location and makes for easy travel.
Very impressed with this golf club. We ayed the palmetto course. Was in great condition staff was friendly, course play was perfect. Highly recommend it's a perfect challenge and user friendly course. Definitely will be back..
Had a great day on the Pine Hills course. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Course was in great condition for a fall round. Will definitely be back.
Beautiful course, great landscaping and terrific views. However, it is very fast paced and they track pace of play very closely. Very busy and high end golf mainly... Never played anywhere so restrictive! Not a place for casual golfers!
Played the Myrtlewood PineHills course today, Fri. 9/27/19. The course is in great condition. An item that Founders Group or Myrtlewood Golf Club needs to address is that they need to install water hazard flags on the course, as there are many "blind" water hazards. Myrtlewood management has been made aware of this but has chosen not to address this issue presently. As a Myrtle Beach golfer, I cannot understand why they haven't installed the water hazard flags. The other Myrtlewood course, Palmetto, has water hazard flags on it.
Awesome way to start the 2019 golf season
The course offers two 18 hole course. We played the Palmetto course and it was an enjoyable layout with wide open fairways. HOle 18 is the only hole directly on the Intercoastal Waterway. Fair price at $39 for a weekend during the day and not many people were on the course. I would play this course again and recommend it others.
Played both courses and i found them both wonderful. Pine hills goes along Route 17 and Palmetto along the Intercoastal, both beautiful and in tremendous shape. Staff was friendly and helpful. Forgot my 7 iron on one of the holes and I called it and it was there the next day so that was great.
The course was in great shape and somewhat challenging.
I love this track!
Great course a real deal
Sub 10 handicap. I was first group out, course was in terrible shape. They received quite a bit of rain the week prior but the course had standing water everywhere a week later. You literally walked through mudpits and standing water to get to the ball. I have played here before and the layout is not bad, but the main maintenance is atrocious. Greens were okay with some dead spots and were not overly bumpy. Staff was terrible. Cart guy wouldn't load bags 10 minutes before tee time and then when I loaded it myself I was scolded and told don't worry about my tee time. Left us no time to do any pre round putting because main putting green is closed. I play 4-5 times each time I come to myrtle each and have played here before. But the conditions were awful you couldn't score well even if you were hitting well. Don't plan on returning. Only gave it 2 stars because the layout is still okay
Great condition. New greens are really coming in nice.
Nice
Great service and course was fun.
Played here this week. Overall a decent course. I too noticed the rudeness of the staff, especially outside of the clubhouse. They were very aggressive about wanting to handle your clubs getting out of the car and placing them on the carts. One person in our group wanted to handle his own and one of the guys made a sarcastic comment. By way this very same thing happened two years ago at this course. The cost this week was too high in my opinion for a weekday morning and for the quality of the course. We encountered ground staff that failed to yield right of way to our group while trying to hit shots. The last complaint concerned the unavailability of the snack bar near the 5th hole and another hole on the backside. Too many courses in the area that are better, cheaper, a with friendlier staff. Not sure I will return to play this venue.
course is wet due to the rain, but definitively on my list to play again.
Great Staff. Courses in excellent shape. Well done. MW.
Very nice golf course
Nice course. Greens were a bit slow and took some getting used to.
Great shape. Greens were a little slow.
Always play here...Great course...!
Very nice course.
Friendly staff treated us right
Staff was very professional. The course was maintained well. Plenty of room on the course, I never felt like I was too close to any other golfers.
Recently had an expericence with the club over a broken club that occurred during my visit there. The club took full responsibility and was more than gracious in helping to resolve the issue. Thank you Dustin the Head Pro for being very professional over the incident and resolving the issue with great customer service. This reaffirms why our group picked the course to play. Not only in great shape, but professional staff and the willingness to be customer focused! We will certainly return again.
Brutal pace of play, sub-par maintenance. Houses are lined fairly close to the fairways. No real standout or memorable holes. On the bright side, good service at the golf shop/restaurant and good midtown location.
Friendly staff, great course, excellent conditions!
First time here from Canada. Played the palmetto course. Staff and course was excellent. Course is in great shape, greens a little bumpy but not too bad. Will definitely recommend playing this course.
Loving playing this great course.
In very good condition.
Myrtlewood Palmetto is what we played. We've played the other course, Pinehills and we liked Palmetto much better. Fun, pretty greens were in great shape along with the fairways. Limited bathrooms and there are some houses along the course, but they are not everywhere. There is a central spot in the crossroads of the course that has hot dogs, sandwiches, beer, & bathrooms. You finish along the intercoastal which is quite scenic. Cooler rules are loose depending on which day it is, be prepared either way.
Greens a little rough.tough but fair course.Really enjoyed playing here.
Two great courses.
Great course, make that 2 courses, staff was great and love the layout.
Love this course. Always in great shape.
Staff was friendly and the course was in great shape.
First time playing at this course, will come back again. Enjoyed the Pines Hills 18, very playable - a confidence-booster. I found the staff to be pleasant & helpful. Came by myself & rented clubs which were brand new Taylor Made, two sleeves of balls included. No tee time, no wait. No one in front of me or behind me, it was so nice. The course was maintained very well however some of the greens were bumpy and dried out, something they need to fix.
Great golf course
Course was in wonderful shape and the greens were great. Highly recommended golf course. Not a single piece of trash on the course!
Bring your shape shots. Almost every hole has a dog leg. Great layout, like the straight 18 without seeing clubhouse at turn. Keeps the pace if play under control
Always in good plaging condition
The Pine Hills golf course is more intersting than the Palmetto which is between houses.
Greens in great shape.
Love myrtlewood. Favorite course is pinehills
Two courses in very good shape for this time of year.
Greens excellent fairways above average. Bunkers ok they dont maintain them like they used to.
The course would be nice if there were not huge sinkholes (4 to be exact) that have been there for literally years.
Ww enjoyed the course! It was challenging without beating us down... We are casual golfers. The only complaint we had was that you aren't allowed to use your own cooler, but they don't provide a cooler, either. On a sweltering August day, a cooler would have been helpful to keep our water and beer cold.
Course was in really good shape for the weekend before Christmas, considering all the rain lately not as muddy as I thought it might be a little pricey for the end of December though, the staff was really nice and helpful
Love their course.
Enjoyable course
Teamed up with a couple from D.C. area today pleasant people cart path only do to recent rain greens were slow but a good time
I played on a hot afternoon in august, had the Palmetto 18 to myself l, good course, good price freindly staff, conveniently located to Myrtle Beach
Pinehills 18 great. Friendly staff.
Really nice course. Played the Pine Hills course with my 12 yr old daughter. Rented 2 sets of new Taylor Mades from the pro-shop. Love that the Myrtle Beach golf courses encourage new young players by letting them play for free. Had an enjoyable 9 holes. Speed of play was just right. All the staff we met were very nice and helpful. Highly recommend!!
The course is very playable, was in great condition, however with all the rain, it was cart path only. The staff were very friendly. Great experience.
Very solid course and some of the best value I've found.
Played there on May 11 2019 and had a great experience. Very good layout, fair and greens were in very good shape. Will play both courses again on my next visit. Friendly staff.
Friendly staff. Course was in good shape. Great club rental package. Good experience. We're playing there again tomorrow.
Played it on 4-29-19. Course was in great shape. Greens were quick (not to fast) and ran true. Fairways were also nice. Over all layout is good. Some blind shots. My only 2 negatives are. 1) You don't go back to the club house until the 18th hole. 2) Wish they had the hole layouts printed on the scorecard. My positive are. 1) Great staff. 2) Great greens. 3) Got around the course in 4 1/2 hours.
Played Pinehills. Nice layout. Good condition for winter season. Reasonably priced.
Played both Palmetto and Pinehills courses. Both are well maintained and starters + rangers great. A little irritated with the bag boys as very aggressive seeking tips for putting clubs on the cart.
Never disappoints. Love playing this place. $6 breakfast buffet, cant go wrong.
If you haven't played here in a while y io u need to, course in great shape and staff appreciates your being there .
Course was in great shape. Friendly staff
Great course, lots of fun!
My friend and I booked this course thinking it would be an affordable round on a nice course. We played in the afternoon for $25 per person which included the round and cart fee. Good deal right? WRONG! If you do not have your own set of clubs they sock you with a $40 fee and a $1700 replacement fee if any club was missing or damaged. Along with that the driving range was $10 for a small bucket, no water stations along the course and tees were not included. They overbooked the course making it backed up and extremely slow with people waiting at every hole. If this seems like an affordable course do not be fooled, it will cost you!
Great course for kids and adults. Not to challenging and afternoon rounds with kids has good pace of play
Two 18 hole courses that are a good test of golf. I've played both courses recently and even though it's winter conditions they were both in good shape. I live locally and play most of my rounds at TPC but I play elsewhere once a week. Myrtlewood is always a fun stop.
Good clean course. Nice mix of difficulty in the hole. Most hole were well managed. I would return for another round.
Friendly, helpful staff. Fun day.
Always in great shape. Nice folks.
Great Golfing Afternoon.
Not to many places to to get in trouble very nice course
Excellent course I would recommend this course to anybody who wants to enjoy a great round of golf in Myrtle Beach. It has challenges but if not unforgiving of minor mistakes.
Great day and great round. Greens were in fabulous shape. Course was easy to get to and the staff was very helpful. Two courses available.
This is a well designed challenging but fair layout and the redone greens on Pine Hills will be in perfect shape again soon.
Great golf course. Only complaint was there was a slow foursome in front of us. I couldn't figure why they were taking so long especially when on the green. Found out they were getting golf lessons. I have no problem getting lessons but when you start backing up play, it gets ridiculous. When we decided to skip that hole and went around them, the instructor turned us in saying we cut in front of them. There's far too many golf courses here to have to deal with that. Lesson learned. Put this on my DNR (Do Not Return) list.
Amiable staff, excellent maintenance and both courses enjoyable yet challenging
Nice friendly golf courses. Nothing super special but maintained okay and play is usually under 4 and a half hours. Two 18's.
Played the Palmetto course today. A nice course which isn't as hard as some of the others we've played this week (Arrowhead, Myrtle Beach National) mostly because there are less water hazards. It's usually windy here so that keeps it cool. Course is in fine shape for this time of year.
The course is a nice layout the greens on excessively Lodge the people are friendly and a nice to play
Course was nice but they had 1 kid taking care of 100 people....they over book....front 9 it took 2 hours and back 9 took 3 1/2....they have no hole description when you pull up to the hole...go elsewherr !
Great people golf and food
1. Staff not so friendly. 2. Coolers not allowed on Myrtlewood or Pine Hills courses. Not even on the hottest days. 3. Maintenance crews don't turn off equipment during either T shot or shot post T shot. #Really? 4. Maintenance crews not very friendly. Got yelled at for very minor golf cart infraction, and was treated like a 4 year old. 5. I guess all staff were having a bad day... on the same day.
The layout of the course is very nice and I would give them a great review if it wasn't for the awful greens. It was impossible to get a proper read and half of the grass on the greens were dead. Otherwise, great course.
Very good staff polite & helpful. Enjoyed the lay of the land.
Played the Palmetto course. Course was in much better shape than 5 years ago when I played there last. Wide fairways and very playable. Pins were near the green edges on most holes. Some were ridiculous. You do not come back to the clubhouse at the turn but there is a halfway house selling food and drinks that you pass by on the front and back 9s. Overall good value course. I'd rate a 7 out of 10.
Nice course, staff is great. Greens are tough!
Good golf courses - Palmetto and Pine Hills. Challenging enough for me. But very busy generally and play can get slow in the afternoon
Nice course but did not let us play past 5:45 so we couldn't finish our round. We would been able to play at least half an hour longer with daylight.
Played the Palmetto course and really enjoy the layout of the course. The fairways and tees are in good shape. Well manicured and taken care off. They pay close attention to detail on this course, however, the greens are in TERRIBLE shape. And these greens haven't even been aerated yet! Most of them are either burnt out around the edges from lack of water, disease, or a new person mowing the greens and cutting to far into the fringes! The greens that are in decent shape are bumpy and it is impossible to get a true roll. I played a great round for me today on this course (83), but I can only imagine that I would have probably broke 80 if not for the garbage greens! Cmon man, just a little bit of effort, especially when I am paying $50 for a round! By the way, the staff is very friendly in the clubhouse!
Course was nice for the most part but sandtraps were full of water. But honestly the bag guy at drop off was extremely rude.
Very playable. Water present but not really in play. Greens are putting rather slowly at this time, but a lot of break. Enjoyable and a course that you can score on.
I had a great time on this golf course. The greens were in great shape for the winter storm that just hit the east coast. You would have never known they had snow 2 days ago. The fairways and roughs were perfect! We had great service from start to finish. I highly recommend this golf course to all golfers!
Wet today but in great condition despite the weather recently
Spent.most of our rounds of golf there realy very frendley staff
This is my favorite place to play golf. Both courses are female-friendly. The staff is courteous, there's a full service snack bar and the 19th hole view is awesome. Moderately priced.
Want a 4 hour and 55 minute round of golf on a Monday morning after Labor day. Play Pine Hills. They told us they have a marshal after 930 am but we never saw one.
Fun course and in fabulous condition
Myrtlewood is a beautiful and well maintained golf course. My experience with the staff was absolutely horrible. They were mowing the greens on every hole we were hitting and refused to move to let us through. When we were dropping off our carts and bags we loaded the cars ourself and as we were getting into the cars one of the cart attendants took some change and threw it at us and our cars. We felt extremely disrespected and will never return or recommend this course to anyone.
Reasonable rates and always in good condition. Sometimes some long rounds though
Wonderful place, come visit.
Course was in beautiful shape
Awesome course and very friendly staff.
The course was in very good shape. Staff was always friendly.
Great golf for myrtle beach. Accessible for both experienced southern golfers and the vacationer.
