After playing some of the top notch courses in Myrtle, I decided to save a few dollars and check out courses with reasonable prices. Crown Park is a parkland course style. The greens and fairways were in pretty good shape for this time of year. Over all the course had a nice layout, some great dog legs and some narrow fairways and reachable par 5's. However, it was a 5 1/2 hour round. No starters or marshal and as many as 4-5 groups waiting on a hole. Unfortunately it was heavily overbooked and put a damper on what could have been a great day.

Very nicely kept course. The staff is always friendly. Much work has been done to the course this year including sod , sand and fertilizer. Keep up the good work. Maybe some cart path maintenance could be added to the budget ?

Good course. Greens was in good shape along with the fairways. It was cart path only today so that was a little downer. The greens was very receptive from the fairways. The club house was top notch. Just wished they had GPS on carts. I would recommend this course to any type of player.

VERY good experience. The course is well cared for. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The price is right too. Played immediately after heavy rain. Drained quickly. Makes you think a few times off the tee. I had time for one round on vacation. Chose this place and was pleased. Recommended.

Let me start by telling you that I have a place at sunset, so I play a lot of golf here and I am an 7.6 handicap. The course is in good shape. Greens and tee boxes are fine. The greens are very slow and spongy but they role true. The fairways are long, not much roll at all. Bunkers are fine. The rough is actually rough - It will be tough to get to the green if you are attempting to hit a long iron into the greens. The layout is your traditional carolina course. This is a very simple course. It does not play long. If you are a long hitter - you will want to play the blue tees. I would say 5 starts - spectacular, 4 starts above average - excellent 3 starts solid, fair good condition. I would give this a 3.5

Crown Park Golf Club is a very nice place to play a round of golf and get a bite to eat. The price was great ($25 with the Myrtle Beach Passport card). The fairways, greens and bunkers were all in good condition (not great but very acceptable for this time of year). We will be back again soon.

Played here twice, decided to give it a second chance this week. Worst course I've played in the area, greens were aerated, covered in sand, and muddy. Grass was nonexistent on the tee boxes and fairway, instead consisting of mud. Layout was fine, but condition was horrid both years I've gone. All good reviews must be paid ones.

This has become our favorite course in the Myrtle Beach area. The fairways and greens were in good condition,. The pace of play in July was great. All the staff members were friendly and helpful. As average golfers, we think it's a great course to play at a good price.

Update: A year after being there, my friends got scheduled to play here and said it was in much better shape. This is by far one of the worst golf courses I have played in my entire life. There was more mud and mosquitoes on the golf course than there was grass. The whole thing was a swamp trying to look like a golf course. You couldn't pay me to ever play here again. Any reviews that are favorable for this course are payed reviews.

Excellent. Greens and fairways were great. Pace of play = great. Cart paths nice and close to tees and greens. Only negative is cart paths are asphalt and old so they're bumpy. Will play again.

Our family has been coming to MB for over 25 years. We played 7 courses during our 2 weeks here this year. This course was our 2nd favorite course. It was a nice course and good value. We will be playing it again next year.

I am a member, great place the golf. I feel like it is challenging, and fun. Staff is friendly and professional. Hotdogs are awesome. Beer is cold, course is maintained well what more could you ask for. 8 minutes from my house and I am renewing my membership in july. Never have had a problem at this course.

Course in overall good condition. Have played it last few weeks. Greens are a 4 out of 5 for condition and speed. Not a long course but does test entire game. Very friendly staff. Try it! For the price u will be pleasantly surprised!

This is a nicely maintained course. The greens and fairways are in good shape despite the extremely hot, dry weather we're having. The course is not long but has some challenging water and sand locations. The staff is very friendly. Although it's not a premiere course in the area it will test your skills.

Played in mid November. Hard to give a true assessment of the course conditions since it rained heavy the day before. The layout of the course is nice. Most of the holes are carved through the woods so not much room for error. The course does not drained well. Played another 18 next door at Long Bay afterwards and it was much drier from the previous days rain. Many of the bunkers were flooded. The greens were in good shape. Despite the wet conditions I liked the course. Not sure the course will survive much longer. The clubhouse and pro shop seem barren. Id rate the course a 6 out of 10.

Course was in decent condition (start of April). Nice course layout. Poor pace of place. We were only able to tee off 30 minutes after our scheduled time and the course was packed. Foursome for 16 holes took us 5 hours (skipped last two).

A large group of us played here and quite honestly it was a travesty. The greens were very slow, not consistent and a lot of damage on the greens. There were some tees (back tees) that were probably 90% burned because of the lack of grass and water. Our group was told that they had been making inroads to bringing the golf course to better shape but they have a lot more work to do. I would not put this on my list of courses to play unless it can be proven that changes have been made.

Great layout! Got a DEAL from Golf Now App and played 18 holes. There were a few portion of greens that the grass didn't grow that well over the summer(the frost and ice got em), but overall this course is awesome!! We will DEF be back! ***Plus they gave us 2 free drink tickets for a ice cold one after our round!***

We called and made afternoon tee times but "Henry" couldn't find them or more importantly didn't really care to find them. He was rude and acted like we were not good enough to play there. Their loss, we called Beachwood and they told us to come on down. We had a wonderful time and will never go to Crown Park to play. Thank you Henry, I hope your day got better.

Nice pace of play and not very crowded on Oct. 7th. Probably because the staff was extremely rude (front desk, starter, and cart guy). They act they are doing you a favor by being there. Greens were slow but fairly consistent. Much better options in the area to play at similar prices. Tip to the staff... Good customer service goes a long way. Rudeness to a paying customer is unacceptable.

I decided to give this course a second chance and I must say I was very impressed with all improvements since my last visit.

Course was a bit rough but it was February so no big deal. Biggest complaint was we were behind several groups of older couples and probably waited an extra 20 minutes to tee off. Again, no problem, it is what it is. These slower groups only played 9 so on the back we were able to pick up the pace. Our second foursome fell about a half a hole behind us and the ranger came to tell them they were way behind and holding up the whole course???? Where was the ranger on the front? A five hour round due to others slow play on the front 9, followed by a scolding for our supposed slow play on the back. With so many course choices in the area, not sure we'd go back.
