This Golf belongs to the category of Golf club.
The course punches well above its weight for the highly reasonable green fee ($20 on a Sat morning with a cart). The hilly course has great views, fairly unusually designed holes but in a good way, the tee boxes and fairways were in good condition, and the greens were freshly cored. The par-3 14th must have the most elevation change in the world from tee to green, so much fun. Overall, challenging but a fair test. The only downside is the distant noise from the steel mill (or some factory) next to the river.
We love this place. Friendly staff and challenging course!

I think people need to understand that this isn't the same course that was on the news for racism. Aside from that, a nice and very unique course.
The course was challenging and has really nice views. The greens were very well kept. The staff was welcoming and helpful. We were visiting from out of state and will definitely be coming back when we're in the area.
Grand View Golf Club is a unique, challenging layout of eighteen superbly designed golf holes that will test the shot-making skills of the accomplished golfer – yet it is kind to the average golfer who simply wants to enjoy a pleasant, relaxed round of golf.
This is the second year we have attended the Easter Brunch. We had 1pm reservations. We were in lobby for 30 minutes, then shown to table that was not set, no drinks were offered for at least 30 minutes. When we approached an employee regarding this, he just rolled his eyes and walked away. When our "waitress" arrived much later to take orders for mostly waters, we got our drinks when we were about done with our meal. Waitress was dressed sloppily and acted very unprofessional. All the food at the buffet was cold as the sternos were never lit! It was crowded and not enough employees to handle the crowd. We will not be coming back.
Sucks to share the same name as that other club
The best everything you order is big
One of the Maintained Course in the Area! Like everyone else says, "Bring Balls!" Great New Bar, and Challenging Course!
I have seen their course and is a great place to golf, this is NOT the same golf course involved in the incident, please be fair to this business and delete all wrong reviews.
The people that works here are rude . They’ve rushed us off of the golf course & I guess they’ve never seen minority’s before because they couldn’t stop staring at us with disgust . I didn’t feel welcomed at all . The experience made me really sad and I would never come back to this place again .
Love it there!!Challanging golf well maintained!!Beautiful surounding sights!!!
Great golf course, if you play it often. Note, there are always deals. Don't ever pay full price. They use golf now, and others. $25 with cart in the summer for the weekends is what we typically pay. However, if this is your first time, you may like the view, but dealing with the wind, blind shots, and endless hills can be frustrating. If you are thinking about going for the first time. ASK to be paired with some of the members so they can help you with the endless blind shots.
As far as lay out it’s a 1. I don’t even hit driver once and I will still hit a 120 or less shot. It’s tight and a blind shot on multiple holes. Condition is meh for a public course.
Decent golf course with nice views and tight holes. Clubhouse is nice and food is OK.
Great golf course. You have to use every club in your bag.
Very challenging coarse, I would suggest packing at least 6 or 8 balls, I almost never lose balls, and I lost 4 ..overall the greens are pretty fast, and well groomed, and some very unforgiving first shots !!!
Bad enough the course is hilly but today was cart only that sucked
I keep coming back 1) because it offers a mix of challenging & scoring holes & 2) it is consistently in good condition, especially the greens. The front 9 is unwalkable unless you're an Army Ranger. The back 9 evens out but only relative to the front. There are four holes on the front 9 that feel similar to each other but once on the back 9 each hole feels unique. Exceptional views of Kennywood and an industrial plant across the Mon. Carts are equipped with gps and ride smoothly & silently. Do bring extra balls and congratulate yourself if you never lose one during a round.
The place is always in perfect shape, and the greens are pristine. The whole experience is like something out of a video game. Take at least a dozen golf balls with you if you're not a professional :)
Awesome modernized golf carts with electronic scoring and GPS. Amazing views of a steel mill and Kennywood across the river. The course is tough but if you play conservatively and opt for accuracy over distance it's not bad. Still wouldn't take any beginners here to play Only thing I'm not a fan of is the service here. The employees never seem that happy to see you.
I had a great time
This is not the golf course with the racist pigs everyone, it's the one in York Pennsylvania.
A unique golfing experience. Tiny greens, narrow fairways, loads of elevation change, and awesome views make for a fun round.
Good price, well maintained, tight and challenging course. Can be frustrating to play, but awesome views. Nice hidden gem
3 dead mice and multiple health issues. Keep away from the restaurant!
Great
Excellent course and great price
Racist
We went to the restaurant for dinner last night and it was excellent. The Salmon and the pork dinners were cooked to perfection. The waitress was great and the view superb as always.
The course is nice enough, though not great. A lot of target golf, so it's not a course for everyone. Views are great (Kennywood, Pittsburgh, Monroeville are all visible from the course). Very nice clubhouse and good food.
Decent golf course, but it's short. Has huge elevation changes and small fairways. The fairways and greens were fantastic when I played it last. You can see Kennywood across the river and visa versa.
Beautiful and challenging course.
This is not a place I would return to, which is ashame because the food was absolutely AMAZING... We made reservations for the Mothers Day Brunch for noon yesterday, did not get seated until 40 minutes later because of their mismanaged front of the house-They reserve you a specific table and you have to wait until the people before you leave to be seated, so you had some people that waiting an hour plus, and other people who just had walked in that got seated. Once we finally got seated we were excited because the view was beautiful and the food looked delicious, but a server did not come over for at least 10 minutes, then never brought our mom the drink she had asked for, and then throughout the whole time we were there, asked us for refills once and cleared maybe 2 or 3 plates. In addition to my own table, the couple tables beside us all got up to refill their own drinks because no one was getting refills, and stacked our own plates at a nearby unused table because there was no one clearing them. At the end of the meal, it took absurdly long to get the check and then there was 18% gratuity INCLUDED on the check (we were a party of 5).
Great views, overall very nice and relaxing course.
You do have a few holes with some great views.... But you will never have a level shot. You can hit a perfect shot and it cold still end up two fairways over.
Despite being hilly, the challenge is worth it and great views.
This is a very nice course. Great views and tough holes.
Never played here but giving them 5 stars for the way they are handling the recent negative reviews. Sorry, wish people would do their homework before wrongly bashing a legitimate establishment. Keep up the good work!
Ok nothing against the course itself, they layout is ok I guess, however, there were 2 old guys purposouly holding up multiple groups out of spite because somebody hit a ball into their fairway, the starter was a jerk and sent us from the front to the back after we already hit our drives on the first hole, there was no ranger to speed up the play and overall I don't recommend this course
Course was in pretty decent shape, but did not like how majority of shots were blind shots.
Angelica the bartender awesome
IN LOVE with this course, Love/hate that is. Such a nice course, beautiful views alongside one of the last functioning steel mills in the city. Kennywood right across the river, as well as a view of downtown from the parking lot. Definitely not a walking course, mountain goat golf seems to be a common description and accuracy is always at a premium. Irons off the tees wont hurt too much, as its not a very long course. Although two of three holes will force you to drive if you want a green in regulation and you will pay dearly if it heads left or right. That being said, bring a few extra balls and a good attitude and you will love Grand View.
Every hole is hilly, but that's pittsburgh golf! well maintained course. great carts with gps. Some tricky shots, but not the most challenging course.
Good place
Some folks have the wrong course and are giving it a one-star for no reason, hopefully this helps.
Very CLASSY. A Beautiful View.
Wasn't aware that Braddock was located in York County. So Pittsburgh is in York County as well? Oh, okay, got it. I understand that people who York don't York pay York attention York don't York have York to York correct York thier York mistakes. Remove your negative posts. You are taking the heat off of the actual establishment you meant to review. Yes I'm telling you who you meant to review. Problem? Do something about it. Oh and yes this course is tough, and Easter brunch was awesome.
Went there yesterday for Easter brunch with my family, we had reservations for 2pm and weren't seated until 2:30 - 2:45(we spoke to the manager and he seemed not to care). When we went back the floor was wet for no reason and we noticed the person setting the table was dropping a pair of silverware or two but we only found one of the dropped pair on the window seal so did it go back on the table? Our waitress was.. decent but took a long time for just drinks and looked annoyed when we asked for simple things. They didnt have a table big enough to fit the party which they had to quickly make up another. Once getting up to the buffet, finding a plate was rare and when we did some still had food particles on the "clean" plates. They kept running out of food which any decent restaurant can see when food is low and work to replace it. The "salad bar" was just sad and every time i went over, they were out of the lettuce. The desserts were just sad and looked like they bought them from Wal-Mart(not knocking Wal-Mart but for $22 a person, they could be done better). The food itself was barely warm and the only decent thing to eat was the red skin potatoes. Plus, a family member found a hair in their dessert, gross. Lastly, the tip was already generously included on the bill. Will not be going back. If you want a decent layout with good service, where you don't wait half an hour to close to an hour to be seated WITH reservations, go somewhere else. You will be highly disappointed in this place.
Very unique course, a must play in the area.
Nice layout. Challenging. Course is well maintained.
Course is always kept in great shape, it is a demanding track that requires a fairly precise tee shot. Almost all of the holes are fair, only a couple are what I would consider to be poorly designed. But they play the same for everyone.
We had a group of nine play here. This is one of my favorite courses now. The view is great, the holes are challenging, and I love the gps screens in the carts! Fairways and greens are well maintained and are in great shape. The cart trails need maintenance but thats a small issue compared to the course.
I will never return to this restaurant. Easter buffet was terrible, lids were never closed, food was cold and for $22 per person there should have been more of a selection. I had to search for a clean plate because even after someone brought out more plates there was still food stuck to them #gross... the deserts were in the hallway which made no sense because they only had six warmers and a so called salad bar (salad, tomatoes and cucumbers... lol that is not a salad bar). The manager was ignorant from the time we walked in and accused my daughter of faking being sick because of their food but she was completely fine prior to eating a piece of ham. This place is not a friendly atmosphere. The bathrooms are just as disgusting as the food! The only nice thing about this restaurant is the view. I would give this a no star rate but it will not allow that.
Amazing view of Kennywood and the mill below. What a place to play.
The course is nice but, if you don't like a 6 hour round don't play. Just do nine.
My experience was awfull the the manger was ignorant and I got sick and the manger said that I was lying and the food was cold and disgusting and there was not that much to eat it was ridiculous and the plates were dirty and the lids to the warmers where never shut
