REVIEWS OF Stone Creek Golf Club IN Oregon

Andy Miller

Really love course. The front and back 9 are like playing 2 different courses.

Ralph Ebbutt

I like this course so much I kinda don’t want to tell others about it. Just wish it was closer to Beaverton. Really enjoyed walking this well designed, well maintained course.

Eric Kraus

Always enjoy playing this course! Seems like no matter what time of the year it is the course plays true! I recommend this course to all golfers!

barbara cox

Great course! Lots of variety and great condition. Very friendly staff too!

Alexandre Saveau

I didn't actually golf here, I ran. There's a path that goes around the golf course and near a creek. For me, it's a great place for a morning run.

Nick Footer

John Furniss

Michael McGarry

Kathy Hostetler

Love the walking trail!

Shawn Kim

Extremely slow pace of play in the winter, but probably the driest place to play

Good good course, it's just that so many people golf on it, it becomes not as good.

Tonyfro

Great winter course - always in great condition. The only thing faster than their greens is their service!

Penny Green

Nicely maintained. Friendly, helpful staff.

Brian Sanborn

Good course. Back nine is especially nice. Plays great when it is wet.

Ryan Bamford

Bob Petersen

Played this course three times and never finished a round. The last three holes are slow to play due to the terrain. There was always two or three groups backed up on the closing holes while people are walking aimlessly looking for their ball. By this part of the course people are tired if they are walking which slows down play. I reported the slow play in the club house all three times and the staff was kind enough to give me a rain check each time for 9 holes. I'll never use them as I won't be going back. Perhaps they should consider reversing the nines to speed up that part of the course.

Kunal Patel

Best deal in the Portland area for a very well maintained course

Jay Gee

Marshal staff was terrible. Played in 5 hours and 10 minutes.... I can't believe I forked over that much money to play here. Had a good experience the first time a while ago, but never going back again after this time.

Jonathan Yacoby

My favorite golf course in the portland area and the only place to play in the winter. Course stays dry and on great shape even in the rain. This course is the best bang for your golf buck you're going to get anywhere.

paul coppa

Winter golf at it’s finest in the Portland area.

James R.

Best course in the Portland Metro area. Rain is no issue, drains like a champ. High quality course maintenance on all levels

david han

Kyle Gibson

The greens were in the best condition I have ever seen.

Vincent Hollingsworth

one of area's best courses. good pricing.

Bill Wenger

First time on the course. Nice facility but bit crowded for my liking. I guess it whst I should expect on a public owned course. Back is tougher than the front and holes 12 through 16 are a bit odd and an attempt to maximize space I suppose. Not much use for driver here unless you have lots of control. Well kept, but starter packs them on which ruins it for me.

DAVID DOMINA

Great golf course

Kent Dorsey

It was like a spring day today!

boomersooner 1904 Bateman

Great cours with lots of personality. Very speedy greens

Raul Figueroa

Brilliant course, Big congratulations to course superintendent for maintaining this track perfect year round, Raul Figueroa

AARON BLACKBURN

Best local golf hands down! It reminds me of a resort course with a great deal of undulation. Greens are fast, especially being the first day of winter.... great golf course! I can't wait to play it again....

Chuck Ryalls

I Always have a great time playing at Stone Creek, even when I'm not playing well.

Katherine Mayo-Sorensen

Wonderful place to walk. The chip path is well maintained. It's just under 3 miles around, with some gain and loss of elevation. Leashed dogs are welcome, and there are trash cans and poo bags, so no reason not to clean up after your dog!

Anna Seaver

Nice walking trail

Elizabeth Fulsher

Good walking trail. Good for leash walking dogs.

Jadon T

Friendly staff

jimi blake

Good course, fast greens, but the Marshall's rush you way too much. They last time I played there they told me to hit up on the group in front of me. Not very safe if you ask me. Plus there pretty expensive

Mark Mertens

One of the better draining golf courses in the area

Timothy Wishart

If you like hurry up and wait golf this is the course for you. Plan for no less than 6 hours to finish 18. 5 - 7 min wait between shots. Criminally overbooked.

Paul King

Peter Jacobson designed course. Front has a links style feel while the back is tight woodland fairways. Greens are usually very good. Plays well in winter when most other courses are very muddy.

Shawn Stanford

Nice course

Jorge Espinoza

Excellent Great people

Rodney Parham

I could smell the elitism just walking by...

Floyd Frick

Played Monday; the course was in excellent condition.

Mary Thomson

Doug Lloyd

Best course close to Portland. Score low on the front because 12 & 14 are coming.

Kelly Nissl

Matthew Davis

Great golf course to play in the winter. It stays pretty dry even after it rains. I also really like the layout of the course. The front nine is very wide open without a whole lot of trees, but the back nine is surrounded by trees on nearly every hole.

Gene Cubbage

Great course, great sandwiches greatest people!

Paul Hudgens

Constantin Maga

Absolutely the best

Kris Simpson

Nice enough but went for an employee work session. Did not play golf. Poor signage from main road to club. almost like you're not wanted to find your way if you don't already know how to get to the club.

Jed Parfitt

Jake Klemsen

Great course and good value.

Jerry Bassett

Great course and practice facilities. Greens are excellent for a public course. Repair ball marks and everyone enjoys true greens.

Robert Martinez

Great course, I shot 82 today.

Izzy

Paul Muller

Great course, but is a little spendy and can be slow play.

Bob Barron

it's better than going to Disneyland

Dawna Jackson

Summer Trendell

Jimmy E

The best

Bruce Weiss

Great course with great run off design enabling play when it's a bit soggy out. Great staff and usually good movement thru the course.

James Webb

Terry Egan

The course is a pleasure to play. Back 9 is more challenging than the front 9. Great course layout with some unique holes. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would never hesitate to play this course. Great specials on early bird and twilight rates. When family and friends visit from out of state I take them to Stone Creek for that great Northwest setting.

Edmund.Dupree Lewis

Charles Heath

Played here Sunday. Course was in fantastic condition. All elements..greens, tees, fairways, rough, traps..absolutely superb. If you're going to spend up just a tad, you'll feel good about it, because the conditions and service make it a great value. This is an open to public venue with a course that gives it a private club..tournament conditions feel. The greens roll smooth and quick, they hold a shot or chip perfectly. Can't say enough good things about it, and this is coming from someone with 40 years in the golf business.

Tim Adrian

Great greens and well maintained. Fun layout and challenging back 9.

James Craig

Nolan Wilson

Very slow pace of play.

joshua thompson

Love just love this course played it many time and have been in a lot of tournaments there as well

Gregory Burnett

One of the best local courses to hit 18. Challenging but not off limits to hackers like myself. Fun for tournament style and business rounds.

Shay Renee

Love the walking path here. I don’t golf... but the course looks beautiful from the 2.75 mile bark dust trail around the perimeter.

Phillip Kennewell

Great local golf course. Played it many times on my visits

Andrew Carlman

Great trail to run or walk around. About 2 miles.

yolo bass_boosted_pro888

I've been hiking the cgolf courses trail for years I grew up here although I've never played golf here i strongly recommend checking this hiking/jogging course out

Trevor Buck

Stone Creek Golf Club combines two types of courses in one: The front 9 is links-style and the back 9 is a modern northwest golf course with lots of forest and wetlands. One of the only courses in Oregon where it's playable all year round. This golf course is one of the best in the Portland-Metro area.

Larry LAbbe

Great course conditions year round!

Bradd Hill

Greens were in excellent condition! Enjoy this course a lot and is a very good value!!

Kalani Ongais

Jorge A Espinoza

Es un sitió maravilloso y cada día es único son vas tantes cosas para ver a diario

GALEN SANFORD

Actually a great course that drains exceptionally well in the rain...can be a bit moist and muddy in the low places. Your shot making has to be spot on for the back 9...definitely a must play course.

james farrell

Even though the greens were just plugged it was in fantastic shape. The course was firm. Felt like summer golf.

Kai Fretz

Great course, if your handicap is anywhere near mine bring plenty of balls. Very well maintained and beautiful. The course marshal, Dick, was very accommodating to a new golfer. Friendly and awesome staff.

Michael Guy

I play here all the time! It's my favorite course and best value in my opinion. The greens are always in great shape. Practice area is great. Payed 32$ for twighlight with a cart on 4/26...my round started at 4:45, i finished in less than 3 hours and could have played the first 3 or 4 holes before the cart needed to be in the barn. Best conditions for the $ most of the year.

Nick G

Probably one of the nicest courses in the willamette valley. If you enjoy a good round of golf it's definitely worth checking out

Kuehl Family

I love the walking trail!

Jared Bruno

Very well maintained course!

Eric Dufur

Alrik Olson

Zachary Pepin

Great course. Wonderful views and greens. Great distance markers too.

Collin Edwards

Lovely course, well taken care of. Some personality.

Stone Creek is an excellent golf course that is extremely well managed and maintained. The course is a solid test of golf; the back side is particularly demanding. The greens are currently in the best shape I can remember. Folks in the pro shop treat customers (guests) more like they were at a private than a public course. Stone Creek is a terrific place to play!

T Shelton

This is a very nice golf course I highly recommend it to any skill golfer. Very well maintained grass is perfect length the greens were perfectly flat and let me tell you they were perfectly for my golf tournament that I attended this past week I would highly recommend it to anybody that's interested in sharpening up their game staying straight stay out of the long grass you're not going to find your ball tell em T-Bone sent you!

Sean Besso

Great event facilities!

Micah Stevenson

The course was in good shape. The greens were superfast and the rough was superlong.

T C Figueroa

matthew hatala

Great greens interesting track ...untill you get the back 9 and the funky corner

Rian kindig

Great golf course. Great service and employees. Probably my favorite course in Oregon. Two different challenging 9 holes. Always dry, groundskeepers do an amazing job at Stone Creek. Must play if you love golf.

mike sixel

Even after all this rain, the course was pretty dry and very playable. I enjoyed the variety of challenges. Not much in the way of a clubhouse.... But the views were great. It was very, very slow play.

Update: Over the last year I have been gradually playing more here having an open mind and giving it another chance since I live off one of the fairways. After I had wrote my original post, I had discussions with the general manager and he and the staff have tried to make things right. I always try to be fair and I think it is fair to say that the staff has done that. Most of the staff has been friendly and I definitely have to give props to Eddie. He know me by name and after our initial heated discussion, we have many very friendly cordial conversations. He really tries to be helpful and I respect the effort he hast put in. I am updating my rating to 4 stars as customer service was the issue for the initial 1 star rating. The course itself is always in good shape and challenging enough for my game. I agree with other posters that sometimes the pace of play is extremely slow. If that gets fixed then this is a 5 star course. I am keeping my initial post below just to show that everybody deserves a second chance and sometimes it works out for the better. Initial post - I just bought a new home right next to the golf course and was excited to be next to the course. That came to a crashing halt a couple weeks ago. I had bought a yearly range pass, which I have hit 3 large buckets so far this year and most likely would have hit a dozen large buckets in that year timeframe with my schedule. My friend and I went to play 18 and I had gotten a bucket of balls to warm up with. We proceeded to go to the range and I dumped about a 1/4 of my bucket out and told my buddy to help himself (mind you there were half buckets of balls all over the range). Come to find out I had been followed out to the driving range by a staff member who proceeded to yell at me from about 30 yards away stating how inappropriate I was and was breaking the rules. Mind you that the range was full of patrons warming up. Now I understand from a literal perspective that I was sharing some range balls with my friend which I went and read later and it was a violation of their rules. He actually ended up not hitting the balls I had dumped out and hit the other couple buckets that were lying around. The fact that stone creek made me feel like a criminal and handled the situation extremely unprofessional and that they did not even want to listen to me suggest that they change their policy to be fair to all parties involved made me decide to give my range pass back (they did not take it from me) because i will not continue to support a business that finds this acceptable. So now that I have paid $70 a bucket for balls should make them feel like they are getting there money's worth. It's too bad because I was looking forward to driving a couple minutes from my house to the course to play as golf is my main hobby. This truly was the worst experience at a golf course that I have ever had. I am a hard working professional and was made to feel like a criminal for something that I had paid for. Please consider this as you are thinking about going here.

The course was in nice condition and the people are all friendly

Tanner Murphy

Phenominal golf course! About the only playable golf course during the winter months. The maintenance does a nice job of installing drainage and making sure wet areas are marked off. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating from check-in to tee off.

Rory Neel

Great day and round!!! Broke 80 with a 79 and 4 birdies

Donald Mann

Was my favorite course but moved south.

Rowan Cahill

Uptight vibe, no place for an amateur.

Nick Allen

Went golfing there for the first time. They have really good early bird rates considering how nice the course is. However, it is a tough course with a lot of tall fescue grass... so bring a lot of golf balls if you aren’t a good player. I wish the clubhouse had better food options, but overall it’s a beautiful course to play.

David Frentress

Very nice affordable course. A couple of really fun holes.

Jetano Demus

Went with my father and just loved it Can't wait to play again. One of Pdx best golf course

Hoonsang Chang

Ken Klassy

Decent golf course but they set tee times 9 minutes apart and most golfers out on the course are 15 plus handicaps with no Marshalls to keep the groups on time. Plan for 5 plus hour rounds....ridiculous

Yoon Jung Chae

Great!!!!!!
