Such a beautiful course! The staff have been working really hard and it shows. The greens look really good as well. It is still a little wet due to the recent snowfall but the course played extremely well for this time of year. I would say even better than some local city courses. The weather was sunny and being out in the woods is so relaxing. I will definitely be back!

It is a real shame that I have to give this once great course this low of a score, but it is necessary. Since the course was taken over by a new management firm from out of state, nothing has been the same. The sand traps are never raked and they have weeds growing in them, you can often spot carts abandoned out on the paths because they froze up. My last visit was even worse, the tee boxes were in horrid shape, like they hadn't been seeded or moved in months. I put up with a lot because the course is in such a beautiful environment with a great layout, but that was probably the last time I will play this course.

Great day golfing. Course is not consistent but great location.

Michael Shields

Love the course. It challenges my skills and thinking. Course needs TLC.

Terry Rowe

Worst course i’ve played in Oregon. Tee boxes are all chewed up. The greens are more mud than grass. The brakes on the golf cart didn’t work. It’s like someone abandoned it for years. The only analogy I can give is it’s a like a nice course that got a bad drunk habit and has lost all its charm and substance

Beautiful course offering scenic vistas, lush vegetation, and difficult greens. I golfed a tournament here and really enjoyed the quality of the course and it's staff were super friendly.

These owners have destroyed a legendary Oregon golf course. Horrid greens and tee boxes, fairways aren't much better. They either don't know how to run a golf course or don't care. Worst conditioned course I've ever played. Used to be a shrine of golf and beautiful piece of land, it's long gone now. Save your money and play somewhere else, I'd give it no stars if I could.

This golf course jas nit been properly maintained for quite some time.

Great place to go golfing

Billy Kelso

Course in good shape. Be prepared for narrow fairways, true rolling greens, and beautiful back drops. Nice quiet place to play at an excellent value.

Dan Overbay

Such a shame, this course used to be great. Don't bother now.

This course used to be one of my favorite places to go. Now it seems like it’s been through a zombie apocalypse with horrible maintenance and upkeep. It is very irritating to not even complete a full 18 Holes and have the golf cart run out of battery. We were literally paddling with our feet out to the side every chance we could get just to make it back to the clubhouse in hopes for an exchange. Turns out whoever is in charge of the course doesn’t stay till people are gone and there was nobody there and all of the buildings are locked up. We ended up leaving the course with an incomplete round of golf and very frustrated. I would’ve demanded my money back on the spot but there is nobody staffing the buildings

We just spent a wonderful weekend at Elkhorn. Long one of our favorites, we relish the quiet, beauty and tranquility. Tony, the owner, was the picture of hospitality. We don't get there often but we were made to feel as welcome as members. He allowed us to play real late the day we arrived, early the next morning before a large tournament, and late again that night after he had spent a long and tiring day managing the tournament. Definitely above "normal" and much appreciated. It is just great to know that there are places like this in Oregon and fine folks in charge of them.

Love playing here! Fairway and greens need some love though

Course has been run down over the last decade. Conditions borderline unplayable, and prices way to high. Course is a drive for anyone who doesn't live in the area, probably leading to the lack of revenue and upkeep. Dont see hardly any maintenance or recovery for this once a wonderful course in sight. So sad.

We had a fantastic day golfing at Elkhorn Valley Golf Course yesterday! Great pricing, great experience, awesome management! Hands down my new favorite course. The manager even took some time out of his busy day to give us some pointers early on. We all highly recommend this course to everyone looking to have a peaceful, yet, challenging round of golf. Thanks!

Stop at this golf course every year when I go to Salem to visit the in-laws nothing bad to ever say about this place great place to golf at affordable prices

Daniel Tarver

Played this morning and this was the worst course I have played, the staff was nice, there was trash and a grave yard of carts within eye shot of the club house, the tee boxes were patchy at best and some of the greens had large patches of sand, the sand traps were solid and have not been raked in quite some time. You can see that this was a very nice course at one time, but it's not held to that standard anymore unfortunately.

It was a blast. Make sure you bring several extra balls

OMG so nice here~~

It is evident that this course was once a well developed course, but it is in need of some serious professional care. The layout offers plenty of challenge and separation between holes, but the course itself has not been kept up.

The course is coming back nicely. It's not perfect but for the price you can't beat it. Management is great. Peaceful place to golf.

Brian Harland

Fantastic golf course in the middle of the forest. A must play for anyone who loves golf.

Malachi Nyhuis

Such a fun (although difficult) golf course! They have such a beautiful location that's off the beaten path and it's just very peaceful. The electric cart was well worth the $10 if you're planning on doing a full 18 hole game. Only thing that would improve it would be better greens. They seemed to be a little patchy. I would still totally recommend a visit.

Aaron Cotton

Love this golf course best one around worth the price

Lloyd Valentine

Jennifer Shaw

Love the location, quiet and beautiful setting! I don't play golf but I think it's a beautiful place

Travis Mack

Worse taken care of golf course I have ever played. What a shame as it appeared to have been a pretty decent lay out back in the day. There was literally no grass on the tee boxes and fairways due to irrigation issues, and the greens were hurting pretty bad by being kept alive with hand watering.

Tiffani Torgeson

Ramsey Audiss

Rude and strict staff and very low quality course the price and drive. Not well maintained at all.

My grandpa took me to this course when I was first starting to golf and I couldn’t believe how amazing the course and scenery was. I played this cow pasture a few months ago and couldn’t believe the condition it was in. My heart sank upon seeing the condition of some of these greens. I really didn’t see this coming as only a few years ago I played in the chemeketa tournament and it was great then. Greens have diminished into nothing more than dirt and yes the tee boxes were bad but you’re using a tee on all of them so that doesn’t matter to me nor does the fairway conditions as they were pretty poor. I knew they had irrigation issues but that’s beyond what I saw out there in that tragic day. I saw a cart stuck in a ravine about 50 feet down or so that they neglected to pull out. It’s a real shame that this course has fallen off of the top ten courses in Oregon (according to golf digest). I really hope that this course makes a comeback as it really is the most beautiful course I have ever played.
