REVIEWS OF Diamond Woods Golf Course IN Oregon

Kathleen Kenny

Beautiful mountain course with terrific views. Group in front of us on the back 9 was backing up entire course. Course could use a ranger, which I didn't see all day. We finally skipped a hole to get around them. Had 2 beers after the round and they still hadn't finished. Felt sorry for those behind them.

Does not look like much when you first walk in, very modest club house and the people are nice but be ware of the back 9, wow very challenging holes and a good ball placement is needed to score.

Jeffrey Lanz

Excellent course.

R. McGill

The people working here were cheerful and kind to my group. The greens were good and for 18 holes with cart I thought this was a good deal.

Brenda Allcock

We will be visiting again! The staff was most professional. We met the designer of this superb course. The layout was most interesting and challenging. Customer service was awesome! The food at the clubhouse was most delicious. Thank you Diamond Woods for such a great outing before our return home from our Oregon vacation with family!

Robin King

The course was in excellent condition for a late July day. There were a couple small swampy areas, but easily avoided. My only regret was not renting a cart. The front half was an easy walk, but the second half was basically all up and down. The staff was friendly, and generally efficient. The beverage cart girl was under 21 and therefore unable to serve mixed drinks, but this was a very minor inconvenience. Overall, a fantastic day!

Lee Kauffman

Great course for public availability. Greens play a touch slow and this course will eat stray balls so bring a couple extra.

Josh Breen

Fantastic course - Great layout, fun holes, teaches you to adjust for elevation changes

Great layout and overall a very nice course...but...The tee boxes areas including the tee boxes, ball washers, tee markers, and yardage plaques are in poor condition. I really like the course and staff but a little more attention to detail is needed.

Nice course. Doesn't have good yard markings. Could be more user friendly. Tough greens to read. Inconsistent speed. This was a challenging course. I enjoyed it very much and want to give it another go.

Matt Swancutt

One of my favorites!

Mel McDaniel

Not a bad course. Tough for the average golfer. Challenging. But fun

Brian Lee

Nice course. Great views of the valley. Staff in the pro shop was okay. Staff downstairs in the bar was great. $5 for an hour of hitting range balls is a great deal. A must play for all golfers.

Mary Parnell

1 million gallons of water a day. Please use grey water. Use more xeroscape on areas not on golf greens . Nice people fun course!

David Brewer

Course was in great shape with the lack of rain and a 35 dollar green fee to boot. Love this course.

Nice course. Have played a few times over the years and it is always in good shape. Very scenic and fairly easy drive to get to considering it is out in the country. Worth giving it a shot if you have never played it before.

Just played Diamond Woods this past Saturday (11/17/18.) Driving down from Beaverton, which was just 90 minutes with light traffic, I was hoping for good conditions. I was amazed as the greens, fairways, traps, tee boxes..everything was fantastic. We could have played the ball down, and at this time of year, that's unheard of. The greens were smooth, firm-but receptive, and fast. The fairways bounced with roll out. I was told that there's been an extensive ongoing sanding project, and it shows. The course is the driest I've seen this year. I was greatly impressed. I mean, I know the Doyles reinvest, and there's obvious pride in ownership, but I was really glad we decided to come down. It was worth every penny, and every mile. Plus, the scenery on this course is unparalleled. The elevation changes open to some spectacular views of the Willamette Valley. This is truly a special place. Coming from a guy who has been in the golf industry for 38 years; I've been on, played on or worked on over 500 courses in Scotland, Canada, Mexico, Hawaii, Palm Springs, Scottsdale, Central Oregon, and all over the US. For a memorable golf experience, you have to play Diamond Woods.

Nikki Rogers

Doesn't get any better than this in the area. Challenging, fun and absolutely gorgeous! Love this course!

Chuck Sosa

Let me start with the pluses, very nice layout. Very open on the front nine but the back nine is were this course really shines. Tree Lined fairways and nice elevation changes. Holes are a mix of dogleg lefts and rights, so it really helps if you can work the ball both ways off the tee. Now the minuses, really just bad timing as they had just punched the greens a week or so ago so they didn't putt really well, fairways are a bit shaggy and could have been mowed tighter. A few soggy spots and lots of mud on the ball. I will definitely come back when it dries out and the greens are in better shape.

Great course, harder than it looks. Definitely get a cart for 18

Diamond Woods is one of the best golf courses around the Eugene area. It is very beautiful but there are a few downsides. Every time I play there they never mow the greens. Even on a sunny day in July the green speeds can still be as slow as playing during the winter. The bunkers have rocks and it hurts when you hit down on the sand. This golf course can be very muddy during the winter. But this is a great golf course to play during the summer.

Hard not to like a golf course even when soggy conditions with the great facility, people working the course and shops it makes it a awesome experience year round

dan tanner

Beautiful challenging course. Free range balls. Friendly folks.

Very nice place. Challenging play. We went on a very slow day. I am sure this place gets busy. The course has some very nice views. I would play here again for sure.

Out in the country but good track

jake

Beautiful golf course. Every hole has it's own picturesque views of the Emerald Valley.

Alex Besaw

Love this course. I’ll drive an extra 15 minutes from Eugene just to play here. It’s long and open which makes it really fun to grip and rip. It’s a great course to play on a summer day!

John Schultz

Great course..except the yardage markers..

Allen Thramer

Front 9 is open and vaguely links like, back 9 is hilly, tight and complicated. Like 2 distinct courses. Always well maintained. Can be busy friday through sunday

Norman Davis

Great place to get year round golf time in.

Donald Ealy

Very nice but the greens are very fast and difficult. Almost as bad as the US Open. On the green in regulation and three putt. Tough....

Beautiful and challenging. Mens club members can be a little unfriendly and act like this public course is only for them but I just play through

Beautiful course. Not far from eugene.

Maria Palomino

James Ayers

Great golf course that is well maintained and fun to play. The prices are good for the quality of course and it is maintained well throughout the year. The old guy in the clubhouse tends to get a little moody if you're not there 15 mins early or short a player, but that forgivable. Maybe I should try to get it together a little bit before my tee time...
