Great golfing for our group of 4. Rates were reasonable at $75 for 18 holes including cart. Conditions were fairly good. Tee boxes in mid August were a little tattered, but still green. Fairways were nice and green and mowed well, however,there was many marshy areas with standing water in the middle of fairways. Greens we're green but very inconsistent. Some greens we're wet and slow with tons of divot marks while others were very dry and you couldn't punch a divot if you tried. Carts we're well equipped and in great condition. Clubhouse was extremely nice with friendly staff. Restraunt was great....the nachos will feed two!

Aspen Lakes Golf Course, rated 4-1/2 stars, is a championship layout that ranks with some of the best in Oregon. This tree-lined and open parkland course provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. A must play if you are in the area.

The golf course is not trimmed well. The weather outside is cold even in the summer. They seem to focus on the residents that live around the course for money and forget about the course itself. Central Oregon is a bad place for gold due to cold weather and very windy in the summer.

**WEDDING REVIEW** Had my wedding at Aspen Lakes in OCT 2016 and it was a disaster. The Owners don't care about anything other than collecting payment. We were under the impression we rented the entire location, only to find they double booked us and we had strangers going through our wedding. Setting up everything was a disaster, part of the reason was the Owner wanted to get home and relax. We know this because she told us and we could smell the alcohol on her breath. They're business practices are very unethical and the bartenders kept adding to the tab all while my guests were paying cash. The venue is beautiful, but they simply do not care about their customers. I never got a response from them after the wedding. Too many undelivered promises and I felt like a nuisance at my own wedding. Not how I wanted to remember that day.

The restaurant service was very good and we were allowed to bring our dog and sit outdoors with a great view of the mountain sunset. We ate fish tacos which were mediocre, lacking any distinct flavors or sauces. The sides of rice and beans were lukewarm and unremarkable.

The golf course was in great shape the day I played last. The red cinder bunkers although a nice visual addition to the course are nightmare on your clubs. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall this is a must play central Oregon golf course.

2017 edit: Go to this course, it is one in a million and the staff is great. Views are amazing, the course is challenging and great. I recommend the early tee times as it can get hot in mid to late summer. Played this course in the late season, plugged fairways and sanded greens. Not ideal conditions but I will try it again next spring/summer because it was out right beautiful.

Really good course. I liked the red cinder bunkers. The greens were definitely slow. Wich is why I grade it a 4 star. Also our foursome played in under 4 hours. 3 hours and 45 min and got harassed by the Marshall twice. Not sure why? But anyway nice course. But probably wont be back anytime soon.

This is a gorgeous course and, though wet, was entirely playable. The greens were fast this day, but well kept and suitably sized. Par 3 to 5 gave our mixed group a few challenging holes, but kept the scores close enough to be fun. Early Tee time meant chasing deer off the green on one hole and playing through elk on another. Staffers were friendly to out of towners and have a nicer than I'd have imagined in such a small town pro shop. All in all, a thoroughly pleasant round. Don't let the four stars dissuade you, gotta have something left if I ever play St. Andrews!

You'd think that if you spend $125 on a round of golf and six balls, that they'd send the drink cart around at least ONCE on 18 holes when it's 90 degrees out. I guess that's the difference between mediocre courses and great ones. Save your money, customer service is not a priority here!

I played here this weekend with a group for a Bachelor Party. Our group went from 16 down to 9, and then down to just 7 guys showing up at the course for our tee times. On a Saturday morning. Most courses would not be okay with this or would try to charge us for the missed tee times, but that was not the case. The group in the pro shop all gave us a warm welcome upon arrival and congratulated the man of the hour. I was trying to purchase some shoe laces last minute that I noticed needed be replaced. While they didn't have any in stock, one of the guys in the clubhouse went into the back and came back out with an extra one he had from his own bag. They also gave a small gift to each of the guys in the group. In addition to this, we were met multiple times on the course by the player assistant's and drink cart girl congratulating the soon to be groom and thanking us for coming out there to plan. Even though we only ended up putting 7 guys on the course and not filling up the times we booked, they treated us like they would have if we booked a corporate event for the morning. I've been golfing for the last 16 years or so and even worked at a course for a couple years when I was in school, and I can honestly say the service we got here was some of the best I've seen or experienced. I'm not one to spend time writing a review for a golf course, but after this I thought it was a must. The course was also in great shape and a lot of fun! Great views of the mountains and the red sand bunkers made for just a beautiful course. If this review gets to anyone at the course, thank you for really showing our group a great time. This will be passed on to anyone I know who plans on golfing in this area.

Played course on July 21st. Rate was $101 on a Friday at Noon. The gps on charts no longer installed; range was horrible condition; front desk staff was not friendly at all. Fairways and greens are completely dried out. What used to be a great course is now below average except for the great views. Not going back. If you are are somewhat serious player avoid this place.

Great course. Beautiful with the red bunkering. Very playable if you choose the correct tees. Some really great holes and no bad ones. The only thing I would suggest is that there is that one hole on the back 9 where the fairway is split (#14, I think). I don't remember seeing any kind of sign indicating that the fairway is split, which first-time players of the course would not know. That would have been helpful. Not sure their peak rates are worth it, but I walked during twilight rate times and it felt like a good enough value.
