REVIEWS OF Shaker Run Golf Club IN Ohio

Bruce Bowling

This course used to be a jewel in the area. In fact, I believe it was one of the top 100 courses in the country. I literally had to hit off a tee box today that was made of "astro" turf, weeds in many places, and greens with blight in many places. I could go on, but it is not needed. The layout is still there, it just needs the care a course like it deserves.

Scott Madding

Course in great condition. Especially lakeside woodlands original Almost like the old days! Tough place to keep in shape with the expanse and such. KUDOS to the greenskeeping team!! Greens rolled true even though a bit on slow side it was a fun part of the game. Could really go after them. I just wish people would fix their ball marks. Definitely recommend and definitely will be back.

Robin Barton

Very nice public golf course, which use to be private. The original 18 are still the best.

Mike Hill

Enjoyed playing the course with the wife. Staff were friendly and course was in good shape. Bunkers being repaired/replaced. Once that is done this course is going to be our go to place to play!

Thomas Singler

Fairways had huge dead spots and greens were in miserable condition. Not worth $30, let alone the $59 they charge.

Jackie Fraley

Good food great atmosphere good staff

Tammy Lykins

Clean and nice

Melissa Joseph

My husband and I were trying to decide on a venue for our wedding, and we are beyond happy that we chose Shaker Run. Ashley and her team were awesome! Our guests have told us it was one of the most fun weddings they've ever been to! We highly recommend Shaker Run!

I clean the streets there

Absolute joke. This place is a sad excuse for a golf course. Terrible conditions, rude and surly staff, condo construction everywhere. It would be better suited as a grazing area for livestock. My guess is they ran out of money to properly maintain the courses, but that's no excuse for the lousy attitudes we encountered. Stay away. There are far better options in the area. Also beware of the fake reviews saying it's "great". The owners are obviously desperate.

Eric Schmidt

Course is a beautiful layout but maintenance is not kept up very well. Bunkers are in horrible shape. Greens are pockmarked with unrepaired ball marks and tee boxes need better care.

Tom S

Ever since this place has changed ownership; you will see consistent improvements every year. My family eats at the restaurant twice a week and my son plays Golf here. I myself play work related tournaments here every year. The food selection has changed 4 times and keeps getting better with a nice mix of favorites for any taste. The course has improved dramatically with a full reconditioning of some parts with more plans to improve the entire course. Yes, housing has begin to take over parts but that just adds to the challenge. The entire staff is amazing; they remember you by name (you would expect this after going so often but in today’s world most businesses don’t), everyone always has a smile on their face, and we enjoy the small talk. I would highly recommend you give this course and clubhouse another try. Give it a few more years and it will be restored to its full former glory!

Brian Blizzard

Nice course. Although they are starting to ruin it by building condos right on the course. A little pricey but 2 out of 3 of their 9's are nice.

Douglas Tegge

Course is nice but it took forever to play. Waited on every shot and never saw a ranger to speed it up. Doubt I will play it again.

Justin Hamilton

I build the houses the neighbor hood is awesome

Tonya Geans

Great gold event with United Way

Kenneth Burg

Not the best

Craig CinciAkers

Very difficult but best public course around

Brian M.

Course had just opened when I played it so it was in rough shape but the layout was good.

chris porter

Great course.

Randy Higgins

Wish I could give 0 stars. I made a tee time on Dec. 26th for 0820 and when I arrived at the course there about 15 other people waiting outside of the clubhouse because no one had arrived to open up for business. Everyone waited until about 0900 and still no one had shown up. We left and went to another course for the day. I contacted Steve Lambert who is the owner to convey my disappointment with the situation and he has never responded back to even give an apology for what happened. Apparently ownership doesn't care about the customer and therefore I will never play here again and take my business elsewhere and I advise all other golfers to do the same. It's unfortunate that Weatherwax closed because they valued their customers.

J Rich

Nice Place to work, Nicer place to live I would say. C B Stone

Brian Timson

Course was not in the best condition, service was terrible. Went to get a drink and hot dog at the turn and sat there for over ten minutes waiting for some to help us. 5 people were behind the bar. One lady was helping another customer and I guess was new because she looked lost. One lady kept cleaning the same spot on the bar. One lady kept walking in and out and one lady was just standing at the register. When they finally asked us if we needed anything, she seemed annoyed that we were bothering her. Terrible customer service. No water on the course and the bunkers were in horrible condition. Too many other options out there with better customer service and better course conditions. For $50 on a weekend you should expect and get more.

Jimmyhifi

Played a tournament here the past weekend and I have to say this course was so rude. We played two six hour rounds because the management couldn't say no to people who wanted to play that day, so they decided to squeeze these groups of people in between our groups during the turn. I waited 45 #$#%ing minutes on the ten tee. Horrible! There are 27 holes of golf here at this place why couldn't you put them on the side we weren't playing.

Mike Roberts

I played Shaker several times this year and even posted what a great job they have done in restoring the Arthur Hills classic. Much to my surprise yesterday, I went to play 18 holes on the original Lakeside / Woodlands track and see they have begun to decimate Lakeside to put in Homes or Condos right on the course. The site lines were destroyed and the beauty is gone. They have ruined hole 7 and cut it in half. This is a tragedy and the decision makers have destroyed this nine in the name of money. Well good luck on the money. I know that myself and playing partner played the course for the last time yesterday and said goodbye as we drove away and said thanks for the 25 years of pain, joy, and agony it provided for us.

A Google User

Took a group golf trip here in June 2019. The course is excellent, great design, great condition. Just a beautiful course. The golf staff did a tremendous job with our group. Only issue we had was the wait staff at the bar. One lady working on a busy Friday afternoon. At the turn during our round she made us stand there and wait over 20 minutes to get beers and a hot dog, all while she chit chatted with a seated table of guys eating. No exaggeration, 20+ minutes standing there waiting for beers. Totally unacceptable for such an otherwise great facility.

Stephen Lewis

Beautiful course. Beautiful grounds. Amazing staff that helps in every possible way.

dan craver

This used to be my favorite course in the city to play. I understand the necessity for a business to make a profit but there are so many houses and townhouses on the course now, I don't recognize it anymore. The place was plush and green. As nice as any private course, in my opinion. They now have lined both sides of the fairways with white out of bound stakes and many are just unfair. That along with their Meadows course which they quit maintaining bunkers a few years ago. I'm sad to say that I probably won't play here again.

Mac Johhnson

Very beautiful course. A few fairways were in poor shape, probably just some drainage issues, but otherwise very good shape. Really nice scenery for a course in southwest Ohio. Views that are unusual and some really challenging elevation changes.

Mark Z

I am not sure what course Robert played, but I can't imagine it was the Shaker Run that I played yesterday. The course is in fantastic shape. The greens need another week or so to heal to be perfect. They were recently aerified it looked like. The bunkers could use a little work, but they were definitely playable. They put new hole signs on the course I noticed which were much needed. No visible markers? What do you want, and giant pole sticking out at the 150 marker? They have markers on both sides of the fairway at that course every 25 yards, plus on many sprinkler heads. I say keep the tacky striped barber shop pole for the goat tracks. The course is in great shape right now, and they are making improvements it appears. A new tree was also added back in #4's fairways, where one of the older owners got rid of it. The new owners have a huge vested interest in this place for it to succeed, and you can see the money going back in the course for sure. If they go thru with some of their plans that I have heard about, this course will easily be one of the best in the state again.

Thomas Haley

Terrible conditions

David Milliman

The staff in the clubhouse was very friendly and professional. The course overall is decent except the sand traps which are suppose to be under repair. The maintenance crew was very disrespectful to golfers. They continued to mow the fairways as we were hitting and several times drove right in front or beside us as we were addressing the ball. This happened multiple times on 3 different fairways. They never stopped to allow us to play thru. I would not expect this at a course that is trying to regain it's former status and rating. This was enough to tell myself never to return. My golfing partner felt the same way. In addition both of our sand bottles for filling divots were empty. The cart staff was observed standing around so they had plenty of time to refill the bottles. In regards to the new condos they are way too close to the course and will be peppered with flying golf balls. They are on the right side ,so every slice will be headed that way. We looked at buying one of the condos a couple of weeks ago and ruled it out because they were too close to the course and it would not be safe to be in the yard and the fear of multiple windows being broken. Poor planning/layout. In regards to golfers all the new building right on top of you does ruin the golf experience. I appreciate management requesting feedback and using it to improve their operation. Also remember 5 stars is for courses like where the pros play.

Roland Morris

Extremely Disappointing!! Absolute Horrible Condition.. Very grateful that we didn't have to pay full price. Can not believe that this place was so highly recommended what a Goat Farm. Would have loved to see and play this place at its prime..Definitely Won't be Back..Feel sorry for the home owners having to look at this everyday

Matthew Kemp

Great public course with scenic views!

King B

Love the food. Best chef in warren county, ask if Liam is working and your food will be perfect

Mike Davis

Great course

Karen Massey

My first time here. It is a very nice place, staff seemed very friendly and helpful and food was good.

Timothy Szczerbinski

Courses are in great condition and and it's clear the owners are making smart investment. Home ownership is exploding in the area and is starting to encroach on the course.

All The Right Tunes

I have worked with Ashley S. at several weddings, she is always ready to go when the moment comes. Ashley and her staff were on top of their game to make sure food came out on time and fresh

Robert Arnold

Do not waste your money. Told course was in good shape but terrible. Do not lie to your customers. Will not b back U asked me to update my review. I will not do that, but I did send u a separate.note on why I rated the way I did. My response summary was submitted in ask the community section of your website

Suck course

Nitin Kumar

First off, the course is in great condition and fun to play. The one star rating comes from the staff. From arrival until we left, the staff was unfriendly and downright rude. On the first tee, we were told (before we even teed off) that we needed to finish the each nine in under 2:10 because they had a large outing in the afternoon. On hole 9 we were reprimanded for being 10 minutes behind that pace and told to speed up. On the back nine, we never saw the group behind us and still were stopped 3 times and told to hurry up because we were "setting the pace and not keeping up with the group in front of us." We were a foursome, and the group in front of us by two holes was a twosome. We told him that we hadn't seen the group behind us in a few holes and that we were trailing a twosome, to which he used the word "imperative" 20 times and never saw our point. If that wasn't enough, the cart girl was horrible. She never stopped the cart unless you yelled at her, let alone if you were trying to hit a shot. When you did get her to stop, she could not even muster a smile. We finished the round 10 minutes ahead of the time they had told us and went in to talk to them about it. They did not apologize, made no considerations for us and said, "Well, I guess it all worked out in the end then, huh?" Despite the nice course, our group will not be going back to Shaker Run.

Adam Konop

First, I would play here again, but only under the right circumstances. This course could be one of the nicest in the area, but there are just some odd things going on here. My foursome played Woodlands and Meadows. I was impressed by Woodlands. The fairways and greens were in good shape. I was surprised considering what I had read about this place. Then we played Meadows, and then I started to understand. The bunkers are the worst I've seen. Most don't even have sand. They're just clay. There were also some little things (often taken for granted) that made the outing less enjoyable. First, there are no trash cans at the tee boxes. Not a single one. There are also no visuals at the tee boxes or on the scorecard to give you any idea of what the shape of the hole is like. This is frustrating especially on Woodlands because there are several blind greens. You just have to hit it and hope for the best unless someone in your group is familiar with the course. Another frustrating thing is that they don't use yardage posts, so you have to go searching for a marker if you aren't using GPS or a range finder. I wouldn't go out of my way to play here again since places like Heatherwoode are much closer to me.

Pierce Brown

A hidden treasure. The whole team has done amazing things with #growthetree

SM

Played on 11/6/16 and course was in great condition for being Nov.

Dave Stroup

In 2018 it will be great again. Beautiful course and constantly improving.

Kyler Landacre

Nicely maintained

Michael Montgomery

Nice condition

David Cable

Great course

William Ryan

Wonderful value for money. Played a Saturday morning round Green(Lakeside) to White(Meadows), and while there was construction along many holes of new houses and apartments, the fairways and greens were in good shape for it being the end of July. They rolled pretty fast and true. Certainly helped that I played well, but overall I enjoyed the round and will be back.

Dorian Childs

I love my condo here. Very pretty with friendly people. Close to the highway.

Tarek Kamil

Worst customer service I've experienced in 20 years of golf.

Patrick Witt

Such an awesome place from the course layout, feel, and look...to every single amenity. First class, all the way!

Michael n Jane Zettler

Not sure what the other folks are talking about, but the course was in really good shape when we played, the greens rolled pretty true, and the layout is just beautiful.... Still one of my favorite courses in the tri-state area!

Chris Dorn

The Adam brothers work there.

Steve Nelson

Good track, but needs a lot of maintenance.

Chelsey Presson

Beautiful grounds. Will have our wedding here.

Sophia Lee

excellent golf course. great scenery and good maintenance for greens and fair ways. very highly recommended golf course around Cincinnati area. I am very impressed about the golf course.

Michael Reece

Greens are in real bad shape.

Jake McDonald

Large enough to host a big golf outing

Michael Dotson

The opening 9 holes ( Woodlands ) was worth every penny an absolute delight of play, unique in layout and a visual escape from the norm. Although the second 9 ( Meadows ) was a let down after such high expectations/standards where set on the front nine. I feel that the ( Lakeside ) 9 corresponded with the Woodlands 9. Maybe this is why the two nines are so different.

Jackson Welch

The course quality was top notch. I have never played here before but I can say that I will definitely be back. Very pretty, yet challenging course. Some tee boxes we're in rough shape but that didn't bother me that much. Well done Shaker! Well done.

Steve Hennegan

I enjoy this course. 27 holes but only 18 are worth playing. Woodlands and lakeside. Leave Meadows alone IMO.

Bill Schretter

Golf Course in great shape. Wonderful neighbors. Easy access to I-75

Daniel Ruberry

Beautiful golf course and a great staff.

ZzTR0PiczZ

Very nice wedding venue , would recommend for a wedding, you get the lake in some wedding pictures If you have your wedding down by the water. Staff is always kind and always there to help.

Jared McCarthy

The Lakeside and The Meadows were beautiful courses. They definitely deserve a play.

Brandon Feldt

Should have listened to those who warned me about this place. What a shame, Shaker Run is. They have everything going in their favor: the beautiful scenery, 27 holes shaped around natural wooded areas and a small lake. Should be golf tranquility at its best. Too bad they give zero cares about their course or golfers spending money to play their course. Embarrassment is the best word I can think of to describe how Shaker Run should feel about the maintenance of their course. Sure, they cut their grass on a seemingly regular schedule to keep it in proper golf course shape but that's about where the maintenance program starts and ends. The bunkers on this course are horrific. They look like they were washed out 3 years ago and haven't been touched since. The green side bunker on the Par 5 #1 hole of Meadows was being overtaken by weeds. It was unreal that anyone who operates a course or who's job it is to maintain a course could ever allow this to happen. It's just pure lazy and tells me, the golfer, that they do not care about their course. And that's the rap I've heard from multiple people, that Shaker Run could be a great place but it's horribly ran and maintained. I wish I could rate the bar/restaurant service and Chef separately because they would get 5 stars. Great service inside. Unlike outside, where our group (playing in a scramble with only 3 other groups) were told we could not access our cart until 1pm on the dot. So we had to walk our clubs from the car, all the way to the range, and back again. Not short walks. What really rubbed me wrong was not so much the weird policy to not let us use our carts for this, but the power trip this guy seemed to enjoy being on in making sure we were aware that he has all the keys and we cannot have one until our 1pm start. Was just an overall stupid policy with 4 groups going out and no one else on the course. We're grown men in our 30's, where did he think we were going to go? I'd never ever pay a greens fee to go back to this neglected dump again.

Justin N

We love living here. We don't golf but the bar/food is decent. They're recently started extending their hours. They need to hire a real bartender and real waiters and waitresses though. The neighborhood would keep them plenty busy if they functioned like a real restaurant.

Jana Lewis

I was recently married at Shaker Run Golf Course. The venue is beautiful and the staff is amazing. Ashley has the best personality; she is on top of everything. She and her team were very accommodating to our needs; I did not use a professional planner, so having someone like Ashley helped my wedding go smooth. Our pictures turned out so beautiful thanks to the outside scenery. I have no complaints!

Amaris Huxell

Never played golf here. I just have clients who live here and say it's nice!

Steven Dahlinghaus

Great golf course...well maintained...construction messes with you a little

Aaron gould

jimmy hall

Clean. Well kept. Reasonable pricing

Steve McDonald

Spent quite a few rounds there in earlier days when it was a great course. Wish I could say it was the same now. The staff was courteous and the course that was open was well taken care of. With that being said, the course has a way to go to be at it's former glory. It started as I went to the pro shop to grab some tees and divot tool before my round to find the pro shop was empty. What kind of pro shop doesn't have tees and divot tools? This one I guess. While on the course I found that the holes have changed from previously and GPS was completely unusable. Thats all fine, I understand the old place ended up in disarray so its been an uphill battle getting things squared away although, we found that holes had pcs of paper taped to old hole signs to guide you through the course. We had to call the club house when we came to a juction of 3 holes and we couldn't find the pc of paper that was placed on the sign because it was a windy day. I'm sure I'll go back again but, I'll wait a season to let these things get fixed.

Aaron Lane

Just played this course on one of the best Sunday's your going to get in late October. The course was in really good condition. They had some of the best greens that I've played in the area (better than Pipestone, Moss Creek, etc.). There were lots of leaves on the greens which was quite annoying trying to use a towel to clear out a path to putt, a small leaf blower in the morning would have done the trick. Another let down, like with another review, was the quality of service at the bar. To get one drink and a hot dog took for ever. I don't know what she was doing that I had to wait so long, she kept dropping things and didn't even acknowledge me for five to ten minutes. The prices were decent. At the turn there were two bartenders and the same situation happened. Just seriously lousy bartenders. They don't seem to have any training with this but overall, minus the bar service, the course was fun to play. Great views and quality fairways and greens.

John Schmidlapp

Returning to its excellent condition!

Matthew Patterson

Awesome. Clean, difficult course. Well maintained. Awesome time.

Willard Siepel

Very nice course. Had a great outing there on 9/23/18

Tim Andrews

Beautiful.... just beautiful

Joe Scullion

Course is in good shape, staff was friendly, good to be back to this attractive and interesting course.

Larry Faessler

Very good condition, but too much slope for older guys. Too many side hill lies.

Casey Stewart

Course was in good shape; greens rolled fast. Played in scramble last week, and every employee I came across was courteous and helpful.

Phillip Schmerr

Lovely residential and golf resort. Love the condos. The quiet and sereen area. Very nice..

Steve Roach

Beautiful Golf Course and a bargain at the price.

nick miller

Nice course for the price!

Reggie Saunders

The golf is good, the food was top notch. I thought the course was well maintained and it wasn't very crowded, so we only had to wait for the last two holes. It seems like a well run place.

Darren Jauch

Not what it used to be...

Jim Dinan

Extremely friendly staff. Fairways and greens are in good shape but would be nice if the golfers would repair their ball marks. Construction on the old back nine is ruining what was once a fantastic layout.

M n M Kids channel

Would be 5 stars if all 3 courses were open. Everytime I go at least one is closed

John Heckaman

Good track, needs a little better maintenance in traps and tee boxes.

Brian Anderson

Condition not great. Not the course it used to be.

Michael Sogard

Terrible course. Waited 30 minutes on the first tee when we were supposed to go off at 9:30. How can you be that backed up at 9:30. Learn how to schedule tee times. Also not maintained well and the bar took 15 minutes to get a hot dog between nine's. Tee boxes were also destroyed on a few holes. On an up note, pretty picturesque area. If they sell it to someone who knows how to run a course someday, I would recommend it. Until then stay away unless you want to blow your entire day on 18 holes.

Jeremiah Turner

First of all if I could give the course a 0 I would, and that's really a shame considering the last 5 years I've played at shaker about once a month. I will say it's over priced but is a very nice course for the area with great scenery and well maintained considering all of the housing renovations going on now. However what really has me perturbed is the customer service of shaker run the last few times I have gone, I'm usually willing to look past poor management and customer service cause I'm out golfing and enjoying myself. However today on 11 of woodlands I tee'd off and went way to the right into the trees, there was a maintenance man cutting the grass on the left side of the fairway behind some trees, well after I tee'd off he yelled 'what the F**k do you think you are doing?' Then instantaneously began to speed towards the tee box. When he approached I started to apologize if I scared him when I tee'd off but he cut me off and continued to cuss at me and act totally out of character. This is NOT golf course etiquette! Especially towards a paying customer. So then my father precedes to tee off in which the groundskeeper drove to his ball picked it up and threw the ball. Now at this point I'm very upset so I called the clubhouse and they sent a man named Joe down to talk to me about the instance, who was the "manager" he drove up in the back of my swing very loud and rude, again poor etiquette! In which he did not apologize for the instance instead was very rude and almost tried to interrogate my father and I about the instance. Then tried to blame a change of management at the course saying it's not been the first case of this type of thing happeneing recently. Are you kidding me? Considering the price to pay to play there, and no apology and nothing was further done about it except being interrogated by a "manager" I will not return to shaker run. It's awful considering I've played there every Thursday this year, and in the past have held two outings out there with my church. I will not return! I will however play other courses in the area who understand golf etiquette and how to treat your customers.

David Fox

Great place. They've started major renovations. Should look great.

Seth Davis

Lakeside is gorgeous

Craig Baldwin

Talked about joining the course. They threw me the keys to a cart and said check it out. Pro Shop guy Matt was super helpful. Then talked with Ryan the salesman and couldn't have been happier. I was given the chance to play the course...brought my wife and son, they got their own car no problem. Super friendly and family oriented. I'm joining!!!! You can't please everybody but I loved the staff and love the course. Thank you Leslie the Cart Lady who is very sweet. Hands down my new home!!!! If my gout didn't kick in I would have played the other Woodlands.

Ronald W. Potts

Nice place. A bit pricey. Good service.

Paul Springer

The course is always nice, one of my favorite courses. Unfortunately the management of the course leaves something to be desired. Don't book an early tee time because the course never opens on time so you won't get off on time and you will be backed up all day. They also constantly overbook the course which just adds to the problem. Don't plan on playing a fast round

Garrett Curtis

Very nice course. Well designed clubhouse. Course is well laid out. Not an easy course. Patience and plenty of balls will get you a decent round. Helps to play it more than once. Familiarity will help. Enjoy.

David Ward

This was the first time playing the red and green (Woodlands and lakeside) and I was referred to play from my son who played it in college a few years back. Staff was super but the good points stop pretty quick from there. For the money the Lakeside 9 was in terrible condition. Can’t blame it on construction when the greens are scalped and the tee boxes haven’t had attention in months. Weeds not grass was more prevalent around the greens. The layout was nice but lost to poor playability. The woodlands (Red) was better. The first two and last two holes were good but the others were suffering neglect as well. Sorry but certainly not worth the money. Suffers in comparison when I just payed slightly more to play another public course in Batavia OH. Honestly hope it improves but I can’t recommend.

Chris Mich

It's easy and I suggest you call.

Dustin Crossty

I had my wedding at Shake Run last weekend. They were very easy to work with, professional and friendly. I felt like they really listened to what we wanted and kept everything on schedule. The facilities and food were great, everyone loved it!

Taylor Kihn

Awesome course

jim fisher

Nice course

Dee Ann Gamble

Food and service excellent with a "cheers" like atmosphere. Restaurant is open to the public! Spread the word.

Candice Johnson

Great food and atmosphere.

Diane Rausche

Where to even begin? The staff at Shaker Run was absolutely wonderful to work with! From the moment I met them, their personalities and easy going nature had me sold. They were always responsive to emails and phone calls, no matter how crazy an idea I had come up with. Very helpful with planning. Very patient and always professional. Especially in the last few weeks leading up to the wedding. The Big Day could not have been more perfect! Everything flowed so smoothly, everyone was laughing and having a great time. They were awesome!

amanda richards

I can absolutely say that Shaker Run made our wedding night the celebration that it was! Everyone was enjoying themselves so much! Ashley was incredibly accommodating. I couldn't have asked for a better venue for facilitating our wedding day seamlessly! Thank you so much!

Cassaundra Freeman

Had our wedding here last weekend! It was absolutely beautiful! Ashley is wonderful!! I could not have done it without her! Definitely recommend for weddings!

Ed Shaffer

Love it here!

Robert Holz

Shaker Run has turned the corner in its continued efforts to upgrade the course and facilities. The fairways and greens are in great shape and, where completed, the new bunkers are a great improvement. Construction on the Lakeside nine prevents this from being a five-star review. The Woodlands nine is still the best nine-hole layout in the area.

Eric Carangelo

The layout is nice but the conditioning could use some improvement

Timothy McDonough

We had a great time. First time any of the three of us played at Shaker Run. Nice course, great facilities and excellent value. Plan to play again.

Sarah

I was married in the fall of 2013. We wanted to get married over looking the lake then have the reception inside the main ballroom. A new lady took the position of event coordinator, named Sherri Cornell. She is impossible to get ahold of with dozen of emails and phone calls. She informed me the day before my wedding, less than 24 hours, that I would have to decorate my own wedding. Meaning I have to put the centerpieces up, table decorations such as the tea lights and table numbers, my gift table, the place cards, guest book along with any other little decoration I had BECAUSE she simple didn't have the staff. I was paying over 10k and I had to set up my own reception!!!??!!? We had the rehearsal at shaker run a few hours later and I talked yet another manager who ensured us that they will set up everything and not to worry. The day of the wedding come I arrive at 12:00pm for the 4:30pm wedding and the only thing set up are plates and silver wear. I was in shear panic mode! I immediately got the manager on staff which wasn't Sherri Cornell even though she promised to be there at 12:00 and didn't arrive till after 1:00, and he started to set up my wedding. Then once he did all he had time for my brides maids, mother in-law, cousin, and myself set the rest of my reception up. I argued with her but she called me rude and blamed me for having a terrible attitude. I proceeded to breakdown and started crying because of the whole situation. The food is fair and over priced. The open bar ran out of most alcohol very fast. They also lie about pricing I was told flat rates for chair covers and rentals and they charged me with set up fees and delivery fees on everything even table clothes which they are suppose to supply on their own. Also wouldn't move ceremony chair inside when it started to rain like promised. They are not honest people they just try to cheat you on everything. If you are dealing with Sherri Cornell just don't waste your time or money, please.

Very nice golf course and clubhouse. Open to the public, but has all the amenities and services of a private club. 27 holes, with each nine having a different design, all challenging and gorgeous. You will enjoy your time here.

This course was awesome! One of the better courses in the Cinci area. I would know because I have played most of them. This course is a challenging course but fun none the less. Greens play fast and are on the tougher side to read but thats what brings the challenge. Hole 4 and 6 are beautiful as well. One of my favorites courses to play at.

Signage is terrible. Had trouble finding the club house and the course is laid out terribly.

Seth Holt

Beautiful course. One of the best public courses I've ever played.

Jason Hutson

Great public course! Very challenging.

Great new restaurant with an updated menu and beautiful renovations. The new improvements on the course are bringing back life to a great track!

Played this dump two weeks ago and it shows every sign of going out of business. Terrible conditions, pro shop closed (likely no money for inventory), check in at the bar by rude staff who act like they're doing you a favor by taking your money. A total joke. It's obvious that whomever owns this place doesn't have the funds to perform proper maintenance on the course. If you're a total hacker and don't care about conditions, puttable greens, etc, then head on out to the sticks to play here. The only thing it's missing are herds of goats grazing.

I played this course for the first time ever today and I loved it. I was able to get a really good deal on GolfNow and I've got to say this course was in great condition. The bunkers had some water in them but that's not something the grounds crew can control. The only takeaway is that the scorecard doesn't have a map of the holes and some of them are blind greens so I had to drive ahead and look but other than that I enjoyed this course. Thanks!
