It's a golf course in fair condition. You can certainly tell that it's old by the design of some of the holes, as well as the age of most of the trees. Greens and fairways are in fairly good shape, cart paths and teeboxes are rather deteriorated on the other hand. Layout is baffling, and often it's a mystery how to get to the next hole unless you look at a map. Some greens are as close as 20 yards apart, which can be an issue when you have two different groups hitting their balls toward each other.
My biggest issue is with the staff. Their website does not clearly list the prices to golf, but after I thought I found the prices, I called to confirm and to see if I needed to book a tee time for 5:15pm on an October afternoon. The guy on the phone said that no tee time was necessary, and they weren't busy that time of evening. He also confirmed that the price was $15 to ride 9 holes.
When I arrived at the course the next day, the employee told me that the price was not $15, but $22. He didn't seem concerned that someone told me a completely different price over the phone. He also unapologetically informed me that the course closed at 7 pm and that our group "better hustle". There was no mention of this early closing time on the website either, nor did the person on the phone tell me this, despite me telling him how late we wanted to start. Apparently the course has to close at sunset because it's in a public park. He also didn't seem concerned with the fact that sunset was at 7:30, not 7, as at about 6:55 PM, he pulled up to us in a golf cart and curtly told us to wrap it up. We were on hole #17 (playing the back 9), and would have had plenty of sunlight to complete #18.
I actually enjoyed golfing the course for the most part, but between the high prices and the rude employee, I don't see myself returning here.
