Fun course. A lot of character and different looks. Greens are big and some are VERY undulating which I think is fun and interesting. The greens did have a very small amount of sand on them. It did seem to slow some putts but it's not bad. The fairways and tees were in good condition. Nice course for the money.

Have been coming down to Pawleys island for years and heritage is always on the list. Today, we walked off on the 11th hole 3 hours and 15 minutes in. We asked the ranger to move people along and even called into the pro shop letting them know we were at over a 5 hour pace (tee time was at 8:30am). I understand that sometimes people play slow and there is little that the course can do. That being said, When we got in and turned our rental clubs in, the staff actually corrected me letting me know we were actually only 10 minutes over "pace" and that I was wrong. There are lots of options in the Pawleys area and I was really surprised how I was treated today.

I live in Parkland but, in my opinion, Heritage is the best of the Legends courses. Would have given five stars, but my last visit included a 28 minute wait at the turn (#10). Marshall was asleep at the switch.

06-22-17 - Very beautiful golf course. Best one that we have played this week. Greens were immaculate. Teed off at 8am and got finished in about 4 hrs and 20 minutes. First 7 holes were cart path only (started on back). Food was great as well. Will schedule next year on our group trip. Update 06-22-18, course still warrants 5 star rating. Greens punched 3 weeks ago but lay out is phenomenal.

I'm a fairly new member, and so for I find it enjoyable. I'm not a golfer, but I enjoy going around the course with my boyfriend. The renovations are nice and the food and drinks are great. The staff is incredible and kind. I wish they had a pool and gym facilities though so our children could be more active there as well.

Heritage is a very nice course that requires you to use all your clubs. Nice scenery. But played 2 of the Legends courses over my trip to Myrtle Beach. I have never seen such over booking in all my life. Our tee time was scheduled for 12:20 and didn’t get out till 1:00. Drove up to the 1st hole and came upon 6 groups waiting to go out. Pace of play was horrible waited for every shot. Just a greedy company that does not care about the golfers experience just their money. I will NEVER come here again!!!

I have played this course A lot of times and I must say it was probably not in the best of shape. The areas around 9 t box, 15 Fairway were not in very good shape at all and quite honestly the greens were very chewed up. As a member of another club the $90 green fees are too high for the quality of the golf course

Course is pretty and makes you feel the old South. However, the staff at this establishment is horrendous. I would not go back if it were free. As soon as the gal on the first tee was done taking photos of our group the marshal rudely demanded we tee off. On second hole, the next yankee prick in a golf cart told us we were on pace but needed to hurry? Nobody behind us but we needed to hurry.. Third hole, same think but DIFFERENT yankee prick. Fourth hole, repeat with yet ANOTHER prick. The wheels came off at that point with everyone in our group telling him to beat feet. Again, no players behind us! Thankfully that was the last we saw of them. So, from my one (and last) experience, I recommend telling the starting marshal to take a hike and inform them that their type of behavior might be acceptable up in whatever miserable State they are trying to escape from but it is not acceptable here in the South. MAYBE they will leave you alone? Worst experience and behavior of golf course staff I have ever seen.

My niece had her baby shower at Heritage Golf Club. Everything was excellent! The room was huge and allowed for all of the guests. Everything was clean, the bathrooms were close and also very clean! Employees were helpful. It was really a wonderful time!

My wedding was beautiful and was great until I found out that someone who either attended my wedding or worked at venue stole from my gift box. If I was the only event there at the time I could possibly narrow it down but I wasn’t left things open so people were coming in going. I reached out to the manager and he didn’t even try to help me figure it out. They should at least have a policy in place if this was to ever happen to anyone. I lost a lot of gifts and respect at Heritage golf club. I do not recommend because the manager does not care!

Having lived close to the club for sometime ,I have attended many events on the property as well as golfed . I have found the food good, the staff [ both in house and grounds ] to be helpful and friendly .The course is well maintained and challenging ,I strongly urge you to see for yourself .As for the previous review by Chris C , he should stick to his norm of pulling the wings off flies, making drag queens cry ,or stretching his chode to the view, while his parents are supporting him .leave the reviews to the adults who contribute to society

By far one of the nicest premier exclusive private courses in central Ohio. Best bang for the buck. The course is always in top tier shape. A very knowledgeable grounds crew, always nice and courteous to members. They work and strive very hard to keep us members happy. The food is top notch. The chef and his staff have always put out exquisite cuisine and leave the mouth wanting more. The servers always make sure we are satisfied. The pro shop staff is always helpful to me and my guests and accommodate us in every way. Like mentioned before, it’s literally the best bang for the buck.

Wonderful and picturesque courses and the staff were very friendly. That being said, it took us over 5 1/2 hours to get around the course and we played our last hole in near darkness (after teeing off at 1pm). We were put out on the back nine, in what i can only assume was in the middle of two groups that were just rounding the turn. We were in Myrtle Beach for 7 days of golfing and this is the only course that we decided that we would unequivocally NOT return to (highly recommend TPC, Grand Dunes, Rivers Edge, and World Tour). We did not see a single Marshall on the course and the greens were littered with leaves and other plant matter making it almost impossible to putt consistently. When we brought up these issues at the end of our round to an employee he told us to post online because any information provided through employee channels of communication was essentially ignored. If waiting for 10 minutes on the tees and 5 minutes on each fairway doesn't bother you then it may be a fun course.

Poorly managed!!!!!!!!!! Our tee time was 12:15 on 4/19. We teed off after 1:00. As it turns out they put out an extra foursome on the front and the back in the morning. That in and of itself adds 25 minutes to morning finish. They also did not ranger the morning groups to try to keep them moving and on time. Total disregard for the afternoon tee times and what other late afternoon plans we had.

Course is beautiful and challenging. However, the course was very crowded and pace of play was slow. I think it was overbooked. The conditions of the amenities was rough. Cart paths rutted and bumpy, clubhouse needs to be renovated and there were no markings on the course- not even hole and distance signage. Could be great course with some capital improvements.

The older man acted like he was doing me a huge huge favor by helping me and was very short and rude. Sorry that he had to do his job. I'm surprised a course like this would tolerate the type of behavior from someone who gets paid and represents Heritage Club Golf Course.

Don't shut down the grill so soon, we barely made it in to eat Send some groups out number 1 and 10. Man at the bag drop was great. How about some ball washers, and numbers of each hole displayed. Love the actual layout.

I have gone to Heritage 3 times in 2016 to play golf. The course is absolutely one of the best on the Grand Strand. HOWEVER, the pace of play is horrendous. The Heritage is the flagship of the Legends Resort and they over-book the course so bad it is just not worth going anymore. My last trip, we dragged through the front-9 in just under 3-hours, then we were the 5th group of 4 "sitting" to tee off at the turn. All this after waiting over 90 minutes for a cart on a tee time we made 2-days ahead of the play date. We drove to the parking lot, loaded our stuff in the truck and left the cart sitting. Not classy, but that was how agitated we were. The time before that we also quit , but did return the cart. The 1st time we were just stupid and stayed on the course over 5 1/2 hours to finish. Never again. Great course but the management is not offering you a great golf experience with the pace of play. STAY AWAY.

What a dump. There is NO maintenance done on this property. It is falling apart. Paint is peeling off the clubhouse, access gates are ALWAYS broken, parking lot and cart paths are about 99% potholes and gravel (from all the broken pavement). For whatever reason, they thought installing a new driving range was more important than basic upkeep of their "club". Other reasons this place sucks is that the food is awful. You'll get better food at the nearby McDonald's. The staff is rude, untrained, unknowledgeable, and may even try to physically fight you. Club Corp has grown rapidly over the last few years. Unfortunately, this has resulted in an inability to effectively oversee all their properties and leads to low quality establishments like this one in their portfolio.

Golf course is consistently over booked though and rounds can take easily 5 1/2 hours if you don't tee off early enough. Highly recommend taking the very first tee time and you will have a great experience. Teeing off any later than 7:45 it just takes to long.

My husband and I love Heritage Golf Club! My husband is there often during golf season and we enjoy meeting our friends in the pub for dinner and drinks. The staff is very friendly and the food is good. Only downside is the pub can get a little noisy on the weekend evenings.

On many of the courses at southern myrtle beach, you can stop and realize that you are walking on a plantation from back in the day. This feeling certainly lives at this place as everyone seemed to be uptight and stodgy. The course however is really beautiful and certainly worth visiting.

The food and service is amazing and I love stopping in the pub for a meal. Recently our cousin hosted a baby shower there and the service, food, and room were incredible. We had a group of 14 and we all like the course, the breakfast and lunch was great as well as the servers....one problem was we started golf about 10 minutes late in our round and was going at a good pace having a good time, when the starter came out later in the round and was very rude about telling us pick up our pace and we a threesome and there was a foursome in front of us . We waited every hole....he also got after our groups behind us which were foursomes....my intention was to purchase some items in the pro shop after our round and decided not to waste my money, because the way we were treated on the golf course....this course will be off our golf package for next year...

Great facilities, extremely nice bag drop and pro shop staff, great bar staff. Course had great conditions except the fairway grass was a little bare and hard. It is still winter and windy but compared to a couple other MB courses, it could have been better. Layout was one of the coolest I've ever played. Historic and gorgeous area. Very nice layout and fairways and greens in good condition for spring. The only negative point is the pace of time. We took close to 3,5 hours for the first nine and we left avec 4 holes in 2,5 hours on the back nine! I think that they have a serious problem with pace management. And we saw at least 2 marshalls on the course! Too bad but I cannot recommend this course to a friend.

The Heritage Club is all about gracious, tasteful living. Look at the houses along the course and you’ll know what I mean; graceful estates that exemplify southern plantation living. Driving to the golf course you get the sense that you’re in store for something special. At the Heritage Club, you can choose from 5 sets of tees that measure between 5,201 and 7,118 yards. Your level of enjoyment on this championship track will begin with your ability to choose the right set of tees. Bite off more than you can chew, and you’re in for a long day. The White Tees at 6,310 yards carry a course rating of 71.1 and a slope of 127 and provided a fitting challenge. The front nine is predominantly woods and trees, and Maples (not the trees) does a great job of using trees to shape holes and many tee shots. It’s not uncommon to stand on the tee box and wonder what you’re going to do about that lone tree standing between you and that ideal tee shot. On the back nine, you’ll encounter more water – it comes into play on at least 5 holes. All holes culminate on large, well-undulated Champion Bermuda greens that are often guarded by water, trees and/or sand. The greens are in superb shape and roll true at a moderate pace. An abundance of flora and fauna can be seen as you make your way around the course including, crepe myrtles, azaleas alligators and bald eagles. But that’s nothing compared to the golf! Last Word The Heritage Club isn’t a course that lets you come out and just bomb away off the tee; you need to think your way around and hit placement shots if you want to score well. This is especially true on some of the doglegs where, if you hit it short or long of the dogleg, you’ll have no clear shot to the green. Like any Lowcountry golf course, Heritage Club has its share of sand and marsh carry shots, with mild elevation changes. I’m told that the Heritage Club does over 65,000 rounds a year and in my mind, there are a couple of reasons why. First off, the golf course is incredible – well maintained, challenging and friendly. Secondly is the staff – always smiling, helpful and willing to answer any question. This course is a very challenging layout with some distinct character that you will not find in a lot of other courses in the area. I played a week after they had punched the greens and they were a little bumpy but rolled pretty good considering. Almost every green has at least three tiers and most are very well bunkered. There is also a unique thing about this course. On hole #8 (i think) there is a slave graveyard which has been preserved and outlined with a fence so that no one will go romping through it. As someone who enjoys history, it was cool to see. Overall I give this course a 4 star rating because its not one of the elite of the elite in the area, but it is a top tier course in my opinion.

Overall great experience. The staff was friendly and arrenrive. The course was in great shape. The fairways were very thick. The greens were undulating and challenging. There was a lot of water and very nice views.

The Proshop Staff were excellent at checking members & guests in even when it was packed. The variety of items for sale was extraordinary & there were some great sale items. Course greens were smooth & fast but soft enough to hold on approach. Still cart path only for now but perhaps 1-2 more days without rain will change that status. Lunch menu was adequate & good other than wait staff kinda forgetting to pick up our food in a timely manner. Many others received prompt service so just an analmoly perhaps.

Drive 20 miles to play a course that I really like......told that because I did not have a hard copy of promo that I cannot get price. I had copy of email on my phone..when an assistant says "we have had that rule since the start" like they don't need business. Needless to say I walked and will not bring any of my friends to play again (about 12-15 this year). Such poor customer service....why couldn't the dwebe who spoke up suggest that I print it on their printer? Go figure.......
