(Edited) Not quite what it once was, but still a very good value and an interesting layout. I left a poor (2-star) review following a couple of painfully slow rounds. But I just played there again yesterday, the pace of play was quicker and the experience was much better...so I am back to update my review. The course is in pretty good shape and it is obvious they are seeking to improve it. The layout is very good, the staff is friendly, and the rates are very competitive. However, the bunkers, cart paths, and practice range could use some attention. My biggest gripe is that there are a ton of poorly (or un-) repaired ball marks all over the greens, which may have more to do with golfers who don't know any better. Considering all of that, I still think it is an excellent value, with no real competition nearby.

Played in Mid-Sept - I can merely repeat the previous reviewers; excellent and challenging course with a very friendly and professional staff. Difficult pin positions, and surprising fast greens. Rough and fairways were in great shape as well. Definitely a more difficult course than some of the nearby facilities. I will recommend this course to friends and coworkers in the future.

Staff is some of the best around and the clubhouse is great. Their food is great for a golf course, and they are very timely when making the turn. The course is split into two types, with the front nine being wide open and the back nine being surrounded by tree lined holes. The greens roll very true and the fairways are a dream to hit from. Highly recommend as they are helpful and well priced!

Played there yesterday, interesting challenging course, the greens where just fair, a lot of ball marks not repaired. Price was about right, the staff was kind and very friendly and courteous. I’m looking forward to playing it again.

Having played here many times I will say that Scott & Brian plus the entire staff do an incredible job. The course is ALWAYS in excellent condition and the greens near perfection. Lots of character and just a truly fun course to play. Well done guys!

Course in great shape. However with the pins in pin position 1 today, the greens were unfair and unplayable for us. Each pin was on a slope or the back of the green, or both.

First time at Darby Creek was great from the start. I really liked the layout with the mixture of links and wooded holes. Fairways were so smooth and manicured as were the challenging sloped greens. Nice website with GPS download. Great day. I'll be back.

This is a course you have to play to understand how good it is. The personnel and upkeep of the course makes it always in great shape, even the aeration of the greens a few weeks ago was not noticed. Love the fact that there are two completely differnt nines (Links/Woods) that challenge most every shot you make. Make it part of your golfing plans next year, you won't regret it!
