Some spectacular holes, & a few less than. While I have given it 5 stars, after playing a couple times it is just ok. We also played it after the river had flooded a few of the lower holes, so the condition was far from pristine. The staff was very accommodating.

Bully Pulpit Golf Course, rated 4-1/2 stars, is a championship layout that ranks with some of the best in North Dakota. Chiseled into the scenic North Dakota Badlands, the course winds through wild and breathtaking scenery. A must play if you are in the area.

Make the trip to this course, the front nine is pretty standard fair (very nice but nothing special) the back nine is a whole different experience. You won't find a course like this anywhere else.

Great course and awesome layout! Played 2 different times and both times we kept having to wait on the mowers and grounds crew . One of them ran over my ball with the mower and destroyed it and kept going. Oh and bring bug spray

We’ve played the course three times on our way west to vacation. It’s a great course, spectacular views and well maintained. It’s a tough course, lots of placement shots, bring extra balls. We look forward to seeing the Medora musical on one of our future visits.

The service was OUT STANDING from the front desk to the Ranger "Ken". Not to mention ALL the grounds crews. At the front desk we felt wanted and welcomed to the course. Ken hooked us up with first timer info about the course along with MAKING us hit from the black tee on the balancing rock hole. (Not sure of hole #). The Grounds crew would stop working while we teed off and a couple of time shagen a ball or 2. Great place to visit and golf!!!!!

This course is a stunner!! I hadn't played it in about 6 years and this thing has grown up. The undergrowth grew in, trees matured, all the turf grew in, greens have gotten much better. From start to finish, this course challenges you off the tee but more so on the approach shots. The tee shots are very daunting from the black tees, though it is slightly misleading, you can't see where you need to hit it but there is usually enough room in the fairway to land it. Around the greens is where this course shines to me. They have strategic bunkering, chipping areas, and greens with enough but not too much slope in them. Not unfair but challenging. It plays 7166 yards from the tips with a 75.2 course rating. Needless to say it has some teeth. The 3 holes in the badlands red, tan and black buttes get all the attention but they shouldn't. They are great holes but the rest of the course shines too. 17 is one of the most visually stunning and brutally tough par fives I have every played. 18 is a great finishing hole. Every hole has something to it, none are boring and no two are the same. The course is littered with fantastic golf holes. Must play in North Dakota, I was surprised it passed Hawktree on the list of top 100 public courses in the US but I think I understand why. Also, the staff was fantastic, nice little clubhouse with a view of about half the holes and good food. Great golfing experience.

If you are a golfer & and are in the Medora area, Bully Pulpit is a must play golf course! The front 9 is nice, but the views & elevated tee boxes on the back 9, make it a very memorable round of golf!

Ever since I heard about this course I made it a mission of mine to play. I drove 8 hours from Minnesota over memorial day weekend and it was completely worth it. The staff was all amazing and they drive the carts right up to your car and set up everything for you . The beverage girls made their rounds and were very friendly and outgoing. I played 2 days after they aerated the greens and the club house gave me $20 off my purchase due to the inconvenience and 25% off merchandise. Absolutely all around must golf experience. I will be back in the future, the scenery is too breathtaking to only experience once. After over 15 years of playing golf it is still my favorite course I have ever played.
