WOW! Such a beautiful golf course. Challenging but fun and the views are spectacular. Will definitely be a repeat outing ⛳
Shot an 81 for the first time ever! Fantabulous Course!!!
Muy bueno!!!! Awesome layout in excellent shape. Best bring your A game.
great pkace. Very classy
Beautiful shape for this tome of year. Fun coarse to play.
Outstanding golf course. Beautiful views and excellent layout. Been playing this course for 15 years every June with a group of friends from college. Can't wait to get back later this month.
Just played 18 in the am; had lunch in the clubhouse then went back for another punishing 18 hole. Most of the other courses that we played had burnt out greens and fairways but Tidewater kept their course in pristine condition. Its a very challenging golf course and well worth the fee. If you're sure which course choose; this is a no brainer. But beware; this is not for the course for novice golfers. You got to bring your A game to the tee box; to the fairway and to the green. P. S.- Dont forget to read the bronze plaque at the 15th tee box.
Had wonderful time. The course is in great shape. However, some of the greens needed some work.
Great course and exceptional service.
Awesome layout and very well manicured!
Great greens. Great course layout. The four along the marsh are cool and challenging. Good array of tee selections. Guys at the range are friendly.
Great layout, tough greens
Always in excellent condition. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for.
Great design, nice use of the landscape, very good greens, good challenge
I've played here a lot and this course made me fall in love with golf. The pine trees, the views overlooking the tip of North Myrtle Beach (hole 13), white sandy bunkers, and always in great shape. GPS on the carts. From the clubhouse to the cart girls, everyone is on their game. Couldn't ask for more.
The people are very friendly course was in great shape. Really enjoyed everything got to go and play if you have a chance.
Beautiful golf course on the marsh and intercoastal waterway.
Great course and friendly staff!
On a week vacation and heard people talk about Tidewater at the PGA store in town. We booked online and gave it a shot. The course, staff, proshop and practice facilities were superb. Fearful of the greens of the other courses in town from the bad winter, we were very satisfied. Aside from 1-2 spots and collars, the greens were fantasic. A Must play for the money!!
I had such an amazing time golfing
Challenging course with many holes overlooking the water, also looks like a very nice place to live. Nice Clubhouse good staff.
Great layout, not sure what golf course the other people that played in the last week were on but the greens at Tidewater were awful. Not just kind of bad, but awful. We played there on Sunday and the courses we played the 3 previous days all had spotless greens. They are obviously having an issue with the greens because they had sanded all of them and had all of the flags within 3-5 ft from the edge of the greens - mostly on the back of the green. Great layout and terrible greens.
Outstanding course with an excellent staff. Great experience.
Nice homes, quiet neighborhoods!
Absolutely Beautiful Property!!
Course was wet when we played but they got a lot this month. Great challenge
Played today, the course is in great shape. The greens are still on the slow side. The gentleman who checked me in could not have been nicer.
Played here a LONG time ago, but let me tell you....It was sweet!!! Someday I will get back and make sure I play it.
Beautiful golf course that was completely redone two years ago. Great staff. Community minded. Don't miss it!!
Top notch golf course
Great golf course. Very challenging
Greens where in bad shape. Very beautiful layout. I just need to maintain it better.
Great condo quiet place to stay had awesome time.
Coures was in great shape. Treated the guests well, but pace of play was very slow. 5 1/2 hr round.
Course in great shape and beautiful views. Only problem was the 5 hour round.
A wonderful place got the family! Beauty all around. The golf course is a great one for Dad!
Very nice course, in great condition
Absolutely wonderful! One of the best courses in MB. The course was in great shape and the staff were super friendly and helpful. This is a must play course here in MB.
Great course. Well maintained.
Great place
Waitress was very friendly, she made us feel right at home. Food was a great deal and menu just what we wanted.
The perfect Southern gold course. Friendly, attentive staff, beautiful landscaping. Lovely after the game club house.
Great course, but the greens and tee boxes were a bit rough this year. We were comped an additional 9 holes, but weather restricted us from untilizing. Most courses north of myrtle beach had issues with the greens. They had a rough winter and seem to be doing the best they can.
The course is in great shape. It is a challenging layout with some great views.
A top Myrtle Beach golf course and arguably the most scenic views. Great staff.
Thus far Tidewater is beautiful! Very quiet, clean, and well kept! This is day two and we are enjoying ourselves!
Great course. I have been playing this course for over 20 years. One suggestion, put the sea oats/lake grass back on holes 6, 10, and 14. Those holes look very bland with out it. Originally that grass made those holes look great. Troon never should have cut that out.
Outstanding
What a great course!!! Challenging, but fair. Lots of beautiful, signature holes. We'll be back!
Great golf course not the friendliest of staff and slow pace of play. We arrived 45 minutes early for our tee time and we were rushed to tee off 20 minutes early because another group didn't show and they made us feel like we were holding them up. Proceeded to follow a 5 some for a 5 plus hour round.
Always enjoy Tidewater, l have played 5 or 6 tournaments there and think it one of the great courses in the Myrtle Beach area.
Great course with great staff!
I go there for the tennis. 2 clay and 2 hard courts. Nice gym and pools.
Wow. Did I say wow. What a great course. Was in good shape. Beautiful looking course. Can see ocean from a distance on par 5 13th hole. Par 3s are really nice and challenging. I shoot about a 90. The course is fair in my opinion as far as scoring. Lots of danger but fair amount of room to stay out of danger. There are some holes where wind can play a little tougher and because of course location it will have some holes where wind is always there. 18 the played longer then what it says. I got on this summer for 60 dollars and that was a steal. Played this course a few times and I love it.
Just voted best course in the entire MB area reported by WMBF News yesterday. This course is in the best shape this winter in years. Fairways are perfect. Sand traps well maintained and a lot of grass on Bermuda greens for February. In response to a prior post, I have never read a derogatory comment about the staff before and have always been treated better than any course around. The views are great, especially at high tide. Just play the tees that are right for your handicap and you'll enjoy the day much better. It's much more difficult than the index/slope ratings indicate.
I've played dozens of courses on the grand strand and Tidewater is my new favourite.
Wonderful layout that was ruined by terrible greens -- worst I've played in over a year and a half.
Love every minute of it.
Nice course generous fairways great staff
I live in Tidewater Golf Plantation, and the views are very scenic.
Top course in MB. Add to your must play list. Overseeded tees and fairways are in.
The course was in excellent condition. The staff, from the guys at the bag drop area, to the starters, the guys in the pro shop, to the young lady in the restaurant who took our order and rushed our food to us so that we could get to the tee on time for our second 18 were absolutely professional and very friendly. Oh, and that food was terrific as well. We will definitely be back again next year!
One of the best golf course in Mythle Beach. Always in good condition and some of the greatest views of the waterways.
Peaceful and serene lifestyle living among private homeowners surrounding the Intercoastal Waterway. Best swimming pools ever, and many other amenities and activities for owners and their guest. Beaches at Cherry Grove are nearby.
Recommend Tidewater to anyone visiting Myrtle Beach! Gorgeous views of the marsh and ocean from select holes on both the front and back nines.
Beautiful area and setting.
Beautiful golf course. Fun and challenging.
Best deal in Myrtle. Great course and staff
Great place
Truly a great and picturesque layout. New greens we're excellent and fareways were plush. I believe the course is tougher than the rating would lead you to believe. One of the greatest courses in Myrtle Beach.
Great condition with very friendly staff.A must course to play in Myrtle beach
I brought out two of my sons (18/11). It was my youngest son's first round on a real course. Not only was the course awesome, the staff was even better. We had the last tee time of the day and we played slow. Matt in the pro shop waited for us to finish up and he could not have been more gracious to us. From the initial phone call, bag drop, starter and especially Matt, this place was first class all the way. We will definitely be back next year.
Stayed in a apartment through a rental company. When we got to our apartment the bathroom was dirty. There was a used rag hanging over the shower rod. The shower was not cleaned good. Not sure if the comforter was washed...it had stains on it. There was someone else's shoes under the bed. I didn't even want to sleep in the bed.
Great course and price right now and round was played in little over 4 hours
Rented a condo in this gorgeous and quiet community. Beautiful setting. 5 minute drive to the beach.
Tidewater is in the best shape. The greens are fast and the fairways are in great shape. Very challenging course
It's truly a 1st class experience!. From the staff to the design of the course that allows even the high handicap players like me a chance to think thru each hole. This golf course is a must add to your golf vacation package.
Great greens, friendly staff.
Great golf course very well maintained nice views along the intercoastal water way
I was working hated it lol,but I love the golf course, I just had to work on a home in tidewater that day instead of PLAYING golf so I hated it lol, golf course gets five stars
nice course 1 of the best on grand strand
The homes are way to close together for my liking, you can tell space was at a premium when they built this place.
All class and a view to kill for!
Great vacation condo. Close to the beach at Cherry Grove and yet not in the craziness! Love the pools, fitness center, and tennis courts here.
Well groomed, nicely designed, very challenging...
2nd time playing this course, and still enjoy the layout, scenery and challenging holes.
This past weekend, our group of 16 took our annual golf trip to the Myrtle Beach area. We played Tidewater about 5 years ago, and while we loved the layout and views, we felt that the greens weren’t as good as they should’ve been, especially for a course of its caliber. So, we decided to give it another shot this time because we did like the layout so much. Unfortunately, we came away feeling the same way. The greens were bumpy, inconsistent, and the holes looked like they had been cut with a jigsaw. Tidewater has a lot going for it, but the greens right now aren’t great. (FYI...also take bug spray b/c the “no-see-ums” are really bad). As a result, this will be our last trip to Tidewater. We just can’t justify spending close to $200 for a course with subpar putting surfaces.
Great layout, great condition.
A fabulous golf course as well as place to stay!
One of the best 18 holes you will play in Myrtle beach. Tee boxes starts you off to nice fairways into great greens.
The course is in good shape. It has interesting holes that are very challenging.
Really enjoyed this course. Challenging layout. Greens are fast but very easy to hold so can be aggressive on approach. Some great views of the intracoastal.
Took a lesson at Tidewater Golf club with Hugh Royer and having taken many lessons and having many coaches for all types of sports I have to say it's difficult to find a coach that truly loves what he does. He showed true focus and compassion in helping me find my swing again. Not only did his knowledge and passion show up through the lesson but also his past tour experience and professionalism did as well. He knew when to give me a break, make it fun and to have me grind and being a person who is driven to get better it was a pleasant welcome. Hugh was able to spot the smallest things that were missed by 2 previous coaches and within 1 hour we were already working in a possative direction. I was blessed that he was not booked afterwords as I was able to exstend my lesson for for a bit and it lead to a breakthrough that not only got me excited but him as well. Everyone knows golf takes a bit of time and as you can tell if you are in myrtle beach and are thinking about a lesson no matter what handicap I would highly recommend Hugh Royer III. Also want to add he has trackman and is up to date with V1 camera system as well witch was great for me being a player that understands numbers and also likes being shown video analysis. It feels so good finding a great coach and it seems harder and harder these days. I can't thank him enough and will be booking a follow up lesson for myself and my wife shortly. Not to mention it's at one of our favorite golf courses in Myrtle Beach. Tidewater Golf club. Can't thank you enough! Richard H.
Great place and 1 mile from the beach
It's a very nice beautiful quiet place off of Little River and Cherry Grove SC inlet
Beautiful course
Good shape.. Great layout
Great customer service. Course was in excellent condition. A must play if you are in the area!
Beautiful golf course great shape
Great staff and helpful starter...wonderful time!
Golf course in great shape. All carts have a cooler and you can purchase a 6 pack for $20.
Great course. Not too crazy greens but good difficulty. Good grass and great people.
Great staff and amazing course
Greens were great. Some of the fringes were being worked on. If it werent for the fringes, this is 5 stars easy.
Been Myrtle Beach golfing for a few years. Lucked into this course by accident this year. (July 20th or so) Outstanding. The highlight of our trip. Best course we've found on the grand strand. Bar none. Will be on the list as #1 when we return. Everything was top notch. Can't say enough nice things. Practice area, range, tees, fairways, fast true greens. Recommend to everone.
Played on November 25th 2018. Despite the course flooding due to heavy rains and higher then average tides the course drained very well, and was in excellent shape. The staff was accommodating to our needs as golfer. Thank you again. We will be back.
If it hadn't been so windy, it would have been a perfect day. Greens are in awesome condition.
Awesome layout, friendly and accommodating staff, beautiful views of the intercoastal area and a very well kept course.
Great design. Challenging course. Lots of hazards
Fabulous!
Beautiful course, friendly employees, conditions nice except greens were undergoing early season maintenance
A somewhat challenging course with some spectacular vistas. Read up on the history of the course. Quite interesting! I've played this more than once. Good, friendly staff.
Greens need alot of care.
The amenities are awesome!
Play well. On some holes, very little room for error.
Great course. Can't wait to play again next year. Friendly staff
Nice layout
Tidewater is is excellent condition right now. The greens are rolling around a 12 on the stint so keep the all below the hole. The are over seeding the fairways so they will be green for the winter. The staff is great, very professional and very helpful. This will be one of the most scenic courses you will play in Myrtle Beach. Love to play this course every chance I get.
This is definitely definately one of my favorite places to play in MB. Loved the holes that run along the bay. Great shape and challenging.
Played 2 days in a row (April 8th and 9th). The course is very scenic. The par 3s in particular are picturesque and fun to play. The greens were redone since we last played there and are in great shape. I wish the greens were a little quicker but given the slope of some of the greens I can understand why they are not. Many of the holes play along the salt marsh so you cannot spray the ball too much. The carts come with GPS. Range balls are included with greens fees. The staff working the course was very friendly. The only negative was asking $9 for a yardage book. They are nice but no yardage book is worth $9. Will definitely be back again. Recommend booking well in advance (1/2 yr. plus) to get a cheaper rate.
AWESOME golf course with AWESOME lounge & staff.
Nice spot
Played Apr 22nd, $125 for cart and green fees. Overall, I’d give it a 7. I wouldn’t return. The bunkers were inconsistent, grass around green and bunkers was stressed/dead spots, houses are very close to the fairways which didn’t add to a relaxed feeling. Fairways were very hard which if you take divots, means your not taking divots, tee areas were in great condition and greens were in very good condition, a little fuzzy though, could be cut and rolled. They need to start adding a top dressing of sand to soften fairways and pay attention to the smaller details around the greens. Back 9 was my favorite. A few holes had great views of the water, but, it just isn’t as impressive as I wanted it to be, a little let down.
We were guest for the day visiting some friends. We only visited the pool but we were satisfied with our experience at the pool. The pool was big and had plenty of space to play around in. The staff we security at the front was very friendly and helpful in explaining how to get to our friends place and the security at the pool was extremely friendly and funny.
The Course was in tip top shape round went well and the pace of play was great! It's a must play while in North Myrtle beach!
Its the South. lol
Love this Golf course, but need to cut the greens it has small hills of grass all over them.
Fairways are in really good condition with all the rain but cart path only. Greens are "dormant " and were a little bumpy and slow. Bunkers are in very good shape would have been 4 stars other than the greens
I live here, it's home.
Very nice layout. You'll use every club in your bag
New York’er down at Myrtle for a Golfcation. Must say Tidewater was fantastic. They were currently aerating the fairways and some greens had dead spots (upon check in got a discount due to the conditions). Regardless of those situations the course was great. Beautiful scenery and great layout. Challenging Par 3’s. I really enjoyed my round at Tidewater and I’m sure you would too. Staff was very friendly. Great place to play. I will give 5 stars because its not their fault the fairways were being aerated, just some good ol maintenance- can’t be mad about that.
Great place to play.
One word...awesome!!!
Played here several years ago, liked the layout and decided to come back this trip. Played the course twice in 3 days. The layout is great, good mix of inland sea island holes (think Harbor Town golf links) and intracoastal waterway holes. The conditioning was fantastic; fairways were perfect, no huge divot fields or weed patches. The rough was groomed pine straw and live oak leaves. Greens were the best I've ever played, from Chicago to the Gulf of Mexico; rolled true and smooth, no pitch marks or dead spots, no poa, no bumps, and consistent (quick) speed. Bunkers were well sanded and raked. (I think I saw 1 weed in the rough but can't remember where. ha!) Staff friendly, polite, and accommodating. Practice balls provided at the range is a high class touch. Shot a huge number but can't remember having a better experience. Have to think your way around the course, cant just bomb it and gouge a wedge.
Been playing various courses in the Myrtle Beach area since 92 and Tidewater is easily one of the great layouts in the area. Usually in very good shape and has some of the best views of any course down here.
One of the best courses in the Myrtle Beach area. The people are fantastic. Can't wait to play again.
The views are amazing. Every part of the golf course adds to the overall beauty. The greens are fast but true. Play the tips only if you hit a 280 drive on each 4 and 5. Enjoy the course and don't get down on yourself because where else would you rather be.
Course layout is very nice but the greens were not very good, very bumpy and not overseeded. They could have rolled the greens for a better experience. They were nicely painted though!
Loved it here. Great golf course. Made to feel welcome.
I highly recommend this course for a fantastic round of golf.
It's a beautiful area and Golf Course
Golf course is in great shape! Played at the end of June, in a year when most courses in Myrtle Beach have terrible conditions on their greens. Tidewater does not. Whatever they did over the winter worked. Greens (and the rest of the course) are in great shape, especially compared to other courses. Layout is terrific, scenery the best in MB. Must play!
Beautiful course with great views of inter-coastal waterway. A few greens were rough, but it is that time of year and we are coming off a very harsh winter. Overall the course was in great shape and the staff couldn't have been nicer.
Very, very nice golf course and challenging.. Has to be in the top five in Myrtle Beach. Played the course today and was in very good shape for February. Greens were slow and bumpy but that was to be expected for this time of year. Staff is very friendly, don’t know why some of the other posts had issues with the staff. I would go again and highly recommend.
Live here for 25 yrs
Beautiful and challenging layout! A favorite of the group.
Played 18 as a single paired up with a twosome. Was first course I played on this trip. Was concerned at first about green conditions, but was greatly pleased that their greens looked and rolled great. Layout is long but I adjusted after a couple of holes by moving to a more suitable tee marker. Would highly recommend this course. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The golf course was in excellent shape ! The staff was eager help you,but had the personality of wash rag. I know that it's a business, but you can be too business like, more personable!!
This course was fantastic! From the moment we arrived to our departure, everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Conditions were incredible. Overall a highly recommended place to play - we will be back next year!
Very nice community.
Very disappointing day at Tidewater. Slow play, just under a 5 hour round, clearly not managing slow play. Maintenance on 9 of 18 holes, barely stopped, but had the engines revving loudly. Stopped at the pro shop to voice our concerns, asked twice if we were sure about the maintenance presences? Already hot under the collar, then called a liar? Got me even hotter, then the guy has the audacity to tell me to calm down!! Severely lacking in any type of customer skillls, period. Played the world top 100 and this was an experience you don't get at your local muni. Maybe we were unlucky, but at the end of the day we walked of the course with the feeling that this is a poorly managed business that takes your money and does not deliver. Will not be back, and will spread the word with the golfing community.
Coming back into good condition after course maintenance. Greens good - smooth and fast. Fairways growing in nicely Come and play !!
Layout was great.
Just wondering if I would be able to play by myself and have my wife ride with me early in the morning not really looking to be paired with anyone just looking for a quick round while on vacation.
I live here and it's a great course
Never been there. Five star pictur
Superb! It's a great track, in good condition, plus the staff treats you right.
So nice and pretty and only minutes from the beach
