Little did I know that I am signing for a nightmare experience, when I planned my wedding at Village Club of Sands Point. The managers are rude and insensitive. They lie and would make you lose your pride in front of your friends and family. Below is a detailed event of what lead me to cancel my wedding, reprint my wedding cards, and postpone my wedding. We had to take a day off, from our work, to visit the venue for our wedding decoration with our event planner. We had confirmed with Andrea, the day before that our appointment was scheduled, and they would help us with the whole planning at 1 pm, the next day. One hour before 1pm on Friday, Andrea called me to convey that they have a TV crew which is running late, and so they must reschedule the appointment, with an utter disregard to our appointment. I ask Andrea, how we were not informed till the last minute, and why this sudden rescheduling? Rather than understanding our disappointment, she told me that her manager will call me to discuss the matter. I was surprised, that the manager, never called me. When we reached the venue, we were stopped by the Bouncers of the TV crew from entering the place. I had to communicate to them, that we have our wedding planned at the venue, and so we came to inspect the place. They started laughing at us, communicating that the TV crew would not be done, before midnight, so they do not think any inspection is possible that day. To my surprise, the manager, was not there at the door and did not have any repentance, that we were in an advanced stage of our wedding, cancelling our scheduled appointment was rude, and utmost disregard to be a good host. I was very upset and asked how they are behaving like this, what confidence they would give us, that they would be a good host on our day? To my utter surprise, the manager, told me that if I was not happy, they would refund, the money, since they would not like us to be unhappy? Such empathy, while showing utter disregard to the emotions of a wedding, was appalling, and disgusting. I signed the document to get my money back, since I could not bet such rude people, will be a part of the happiest day of my life. It was heart-breaking for my fiancé, to have her wedding visuals being shattered after such meticulous planning. Three days, they emailed me, that my check was ready. When I went to the office, to pick up the check, the manager, took time to recognize me, completely ignoring what happened between us 3 days ago.
