Skilled ski boot fitters are hard to find outside of a mountain town, but Rob and Duke are pros! Really nice work on custom foot beds, molded liners, and shell modifications (and they’re great guys too). If you’re in NYC, this is the place to buy ski gear.

The staff here bend over backwards to make sure you’re happy and they are extremely knowledgeable. This is the second season I have rented snowboard equipment from Panda for my teens. I wish I had known about them before because this is the kind of local establishment I want to patronize. Living in Manhattan we went to Paragon, but it is worth it to travel further to get the hands-on, friendly, and top-notch customer service. I have two examples of how great they are. We didn’t realize until I️ picked up and brought my son’s snowboard boot rental home that there was a bizarre breakdown in the calf area that literally felt like gravel. I called them and asked if they could reserve another pair of boots for him, but we couldn’t come in for two weeks. “No problem.” When we finally made it in THEY weren’t happy about the boot to swap out and felt badly that we had to make a return trip. So they happened to have a pair of brand new boots with Boa lacing that they heat molded and fit on my son’s feet. AMAZING! They wanted me to be happy. The second is from today. The owner had told me that I could bring in my own snowboard equipment today and get it mounted along with getting my boots heat molded while I wait. But when I arrived today, one of the snowboard guys wasn’t due to work today so I’d have to go back to pick up the mounted bindings and board. I expressed my disappointment since I had been told that I could do it in one trip today. While I’m getting my boots heat molded, they talked to one of the snowboard guys who agreed to come in and do it while I went out to lunch. Again, AMAZING! While I didn’t buy my equipment from them since I was looking for a few specific things that they didn’t carry, I did look at them first and I suggest that you do so to. They absolutely deserve to be patronized and paying a little more (they are competitive) is worth it when you consider their fantastic customer service.

The staff was really nice and helpful through the process of renting 3 sets of kids skis! Yes you can rent them for less outside the city but we chose the convenience of returning them close to home. Everyone left very happy and we even got some free lift tickets for the kids.

I love this place so much. Robert and Danny spent a ton of time with me on multiple occasions to make sure I got the perfect boot fit, and taught me a lot about proper care for my boots and skis. After my first weekend with my new boots, I noticed a few pinch points, so I brought them in the next day and they were quickly able to heat them back up and give me some more room in those areas. Can't recommend these guys highly enough. My only complaint is that it's not closer to Manhattan!

My wife and I had a great experience at Panda Sport purchasing ski boots and skis! Duke is an expert boot fitter and helped us by explaining the process the whole way. Duke and Mike guided us with selecting skis and Robert the owner was there for additional knowledge and good conversation. It's great to see a family run business like this that offers great customer service and stands behind their products and work. We returned a few weeks later to have some minor adjustments done on the boots and Duke quickly completed the work for no charge and remembered our names when we walked in. Great service and I can't recommend them strongly enough.

Best service ever. I called on Monday because I realized that I needed a rooftop carrier for my trip on Thursday. They ordered it right away, kept me up to date on the status, and installed it for me during a thunderstorm. No reason to ever shop for this stuff anywhere else. Today was my second time visiting this location and I'm thrilled to have found Panda Sports. I'm a Williamsburg resident who would often drive out to Log Island to address all my ski needs due to not knowing Panda sports existed. My first time coming here a couple months ago was cause I needed a last minute ski wax and sharpening. Employee Dan helped me get that done in 20 mins and for a cheaper price then I've paid anywhere else. While I was waiting I informed him that I was interested in purchasing new Ski's sometime soon and he was very helpful in answering all my questions. Today I came in for the second time where Dan helped me once again and this time it was initially just to ask questions about my old ski's. We then talked about possibly purchasing new ski's and he took me through all the best models they had that matched my skiing style, explained the benefits and differences of each ski as well as make some great suggestions in the type of Ski's I would enjoy based off the information I gave him. The professionalism and kindness I felt at Panda sports didn't just come from Dan, It came from every employee working here. They all greeted me kindly and answered all questions I had regarding socks and gloves. I ended up purchasing new ski's and some extra goodies that needless to say, I'm excited to test out this week. I'm so thankful that a simple google search helped me find this Gem in Brooklyn and they have a loyal customer for life going forward. If you're considering shopping here I highly recommend it, I promise you'll see everything I'm talking about just with one visit!!

Walked in to the the store today hoping to buy a set of skis and boots. When I asked for the assistance of a sales associate I was told that he would briefly talk to me but if I wanted to try on any boots or other equipment, I would have to give a $100 dollar deposit that would be returned in the form of a gift card if I did not make a purchase. Asking for a hundred dollar deposit before even being shown any of the gear or it’s price is an absolutely absurd policy and they have lost my business.

I don't know about others, but I personally had a great experience with these people!!! Great customer service and it was a sincere pleasure to have a business with them. I bought Thule Cargo Box Carrier for the very decent price and I didn't even touch it (store personnel assembled and installed on my SUV). Everything went very smooth and had no issues at all. I would most definitely go back to them, if I need any winter sport's goods or gears! I also would strongly recommend to everyone if one needs any sport's goods.

They spent so much time getting the fit just right. What patience these guys have. My experience at Panda Sport was AMAZING and I would definitely go back for ALL my ski equipment needs! The service extended way beyond what would normally be expected. From the second I walked in the door, I was given individual attention and everyone was extremely helpful. A female employee helped me find a pair of snow pants that were a perfect fit- to the point where I felt like I was shopping in a high end boutique! She was extremely helpful and I found an awesome pair that were ON SALE! Even better! In addition, I walked away with amazing skis and poles that were a perfect for my ability on the mountain. The guys at the equipment desk set everything up for me to be able to carry around easily- which was extremely helpful when taking everything on the train. I also was able to purchase a pair of headphone inserts for my helmet that worked perfectly and were a great price. Overall, my experience at Panda Sport was efficient, pleasant, and extremely satisfying. I got everything I needed and wanted, and walked away VERY happy! I will certainly be returning next season! I’m a snowboarder who was new to skiing. I stopped off at Panda Sport for a pair of boots and some insight. What I got was unbelievable service and years upon years of knowledge. Duke fitted me into a pair of boots he suggested and they were spot on. He took the time to make sure everything was molded properly and aligned with my not so aligned knee. Very professional and extremely insightful. I highly recommend them and I will be returning for any of my snowboard and skiing needs.

One of my binding screw was so tight that I cannot take it out and eventually I stripped it. They helped me took it out and replaced with a new one without additional charge. Thanks!

Out of spite I ended up buying your boots online---way cheaper than your store as soon as we left. Me and my friend. I never took Sport Stores in college, but I think it was a dumb business move to say that to us as well as incorporate that policy. Then I tried to explain that I want reflective stickers for the helmet I almost bought but you chose to not stfu and kept going on. Good job. And we had money to spend. Get competative, stop crying.

Great experience getting seasonal rentals. Andrew was patient and fun with our three kids, and we walked out with all our skis, boots, and poles in a little over an hour. Reasonable price ($139 for each seasonal rental) included a couple of lift tickets for each kid. We'll be back!

I just bought myself a really great snowboard, boots, and bindings for a great price. Also the service I had, was five stars they have great service and the staff are very very friendly and knowledgeable on all store related objects including all the accessories. At this I conclude that I highly recommend this store.

Long time shopper of Panda. Was a great store, even went to middle school across the street from the shop on 92nd. Purchased a lot of gear from them, poles, helmets, and most recently a $400 pair of saloman SB boots, a few seasons ago. Called them today asking if they had a pair of Apex ski boots in stock. Guy tells me they have them. Ask him if I could try them on in the shop, guys starts telling me there is gonna be a fee if I spend an hour trying them on, don't buy them, and waste their time. Hearing this over the phone quite frankly was unreal.I was pretty shocked, but more so pissed. Mind you these are a $1000 dollar pair of boots. Once I let him know how absolutely ridiculous he sounded, he backtracked on his statement. Seriously did not expect this from Panda, and as i told the gentleman on the phone, I will be trying (and likely buying) my Apex boots at paragon. This is my first neg. review in my life, and I would never intentionally try to slander any business, as a business owner myself. Hope Panda see's this and reevaluates how they choose to speak to their longtime, and new customers alike.

These guys are absolutely awesome. They don't just send you away when they dont have something you need. They go out and beyond to assist you with your issue and make things great. Unlike other stores that just send you away and say sorry we dont carry that. Or Sorry im on a break. I buy all my roller blades from Panda Sport and I recommened it to all my friends. I just bought a pair of skis at panda at a great price. I bought a new set of golf clubs there last spring. Places like panda sport go above and beyond to service customers and I’ll cut them all the slack they need if they don’t want to be an internet try on shop. Support your local business owners. Price is only one component of buying a high end item. I’ll gladly pay them 20% or more on top of the “amazon” price to get great advice.

In an age of flashy online stores, it's easy to get swept up with trying to buy ski equipment with the click of a mouse. After dealing with Panda, I highly recommend the contrary. They offer an friendly environment with great customer service that allows you to have the utmost confidence that you are buying the right gear. Let's face it: there's a lot of options when it comes to ski equipment. As much as you dig for information online, it can be pretty hard to find. And even if you are successful, can you really trust some random internet troll to recommend equipment that you'll be using for the next couple of years? Wouldn't you rather have the opinion of an experienced employee who has actually used all the gear they are recommending? This is the exact case with Panda Sport. As soon as you walk in, they greet you with a smile and begin to offer very helpful advice. Whether you're an experienced rider or a complete newbie, they can answer even the most detailed questions. I went in with some prior knowledge, and with a ton of things to ask about. They cleared up everything with in-depth answers, and ended up putting together a setup that I am completely in love with. If you're interested in awesome gear, great customer service, and helpful skiing insight, Panda Sport is the right store for you!

This is a pretty good place to come to for winter sports apparel and gear, simply because the staff knows what they're talking about. Ill break my review down a bit here: Clothing: Huge selections of winter sports clothing with sizes to fit almost anyone (no very big sizes). They have the necessary ski pants, jackets, thermals, socks, etc. Pretty much what you need to have a good time in the snow. Gear: They seem to have more of a selection for Skiing than they do for snowboarding. I'm guessing because skiing is just more popular, so supply and demand comes into play. This is the only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars (I'm a snowboarder). I came in at the beginning of the season to buy a new board and their selection of snowboards wasn't exactly plentiful, but I did end up getting a board that I liked.

Panda sport was a mixed review for me - however, I'll give it a good star overall JUST because of the sales person who sold me my snowboarding boots. He was nice to me - me being a new snowboarder - I don't really know much about fit or sizing. He was patient with me and didn't give me any attitude and it seemed that he himself really loved the sport. Sometimes you need that kind of salesperson to share the love for the sport! The other person who worked here though was an entirely different story. I was also trying to buy a jacket and this person gave me the worst attitude like I didn't belong in that store. The person also seemed like she wanted me out of the store - with a "either buy it or leave" attitude. Ridiculous. I'm not going to haphazardly buy a $200 jacket. I'm going to take my sweet time! She was the one who asked me if I wanted to have a fitting room ready, I didn't force her to give me one. I felt bad to have "taken" the dressing room when I was still making my decision, but I felt so rushed. Hit or miss with the staff here....

Went here to fix up a pair of skis I'd bought on Craigslist. Had the pleasure of dealing with "Uncle Rob", the owner; he's very experienced, knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. Exceptional customer service! I have huge calf's and for years I could not find a ski boot that i can wear longer than 3 hours. I went to Panda Sports and dealt with the owner Robert, and he spoke to me for a while to better understand me and sold me a great pair of boots that I could wear to a cocktail party they're so comfortable. We did have to make some adjustments after I bought them but that's part of the awesome customer experience I had. I also paid less than where my friend recommended me to try. Was the best investment I have made in a while. In myself!
