This Golf belongs to the category of Golf club.
I love Meadows Golf Club. The staff are all unbelievable and go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience on and off the course (not to mention they have free giveaways frequently). Course runs fast and the greens are well maintained. 10/10 experience, will always go back.
Hacker's paradise...not meant for a real golfer. I haven't been there in around 20 years and I think I'll wait another 20 to try it again.
I like it, was a great value. Didn’t expect much but turned out to be a pretty challenging course in very decent shape. Lots of water hazard everywhere, and required you to have a decent driving day. Greens rolled well, not very fast though.
Gone way down hill. 10 years ago this was really well kept muni. Now pretty much a cow pasture
You can not play this course if it rains even two days before it's a swamp, bugs and cart path is riddled with pot holes poor maintenance ,terrible experience
Course has been improved in the last couple years now more wide open
Rough shape during course renovations. Interested to see changes next spring
Shot a 77 so I can't complain
Greens excellent . Repair ball marks GOLFERS. Fairways okay, a little wet but considering all the rain decent condition..Tee Boxes were good.. Over all nice course.
This place is not worthy of a $70 price tag. The tre boxes and fairways are in poor shape. The rough is basically unmowed weeds. And it just isn't that nice. It's worth $50 tops. The one thing about this course which makes it a unplayable is that the layout is terrible. It's a shooting galley with far too many tee shots aimed at where people are expected to be standing. Also the jerks that play this course walk into other fairways without care and steal balls. Real morons up around here. SKIP IT.
Brought my kid out for a little father son golf with no appointment. Patrick really took care of us today. My son even asked, “Hey dad is he one of your friends?” I just responded, “No buddy, but he is a very genuine and nice person. So those are definitely the types of friends you will want to have!” Great course. Some good challenges and pretty good condition. Pace was nice today.
A little packed and holes are tight. But great golf. Had a good time and the pace picked up. A lot of wildlife going on too...lol
Staff and ownership are super friendly and this is a fun, welcoming course! Can't go wrong for an amateur golfer.
Played some winter golf here the other day. Super friendly and accommodating staff. Looks like a fun and decent enough challenge of a track. Looking forward to playing it when the weather turns for the better
This place sucks
Good maintenance, nice people. We will come again ..
Much better than before. I assume this place is under new management
Great time - nice course, friendly people, good food.
They lied to me about the area's frequency of flooding and I ended up buying a house within a mile of them. It's like the 5th golf course within a 10 minute drive, why sign on with one that occasionally lets you BOAT THROUGH IT. Kudos to you kid, way to lie to a non-customer. "Never closes due to water" man I wish I had that on tape...
Too expensive unless you score a groupon
Fun
Good day. Well paced.
Bargain course, not the best or toughest, but a good way to spend a day away from work
Like the course fair prices, only 2 miles from my office. love to play 9 on Friday evenings. such a great way to end the day ....
Nice staff but wait for the golfnow last minute deals. Course is in average condition on the fairways and not quite off the fairways.
Front 9 is very tight the back 9 is more open. I would have given it 4 stars but the T times are booked too close together and someone always pushing you to speed the game up. I have had people actually drive by our group and start playing the next hole when we were on the fairway. Other than that the greens need more attention and some of the T boxes you cant even stick your T into the ground because its so hard.
Good local golf course and they have a bar. They are currently doing alot of landscape improvement work.
Decent course. Friendly staff. Seems like new management and its a work in progress. Course is definitely better now than it has been in recent years
Easy course but enjoyable
rain has been hard on this golf course the fairways are poor and so are the greens and tee boxes
Only played here once and that was enough. They desperately need a marshall driving around. On the 18th a member of my group hit onto the 10th coming towards us. I apologized to the gentlemen who were in their late 40s and as soon as I drove away they decided to retaliate and hit at us. The staff didn't seem to care about this and that tells me everything I need to know about how they do business. For the price, youre better off going to somewhere else. Meadows, work on your craft a little harder.
Nice course. Only a par 70 and not very long, but it was in good shape and played well. Only complaint is that they stagger their tee times too closely together so we found ourselves constantly waiting on the tee box.
Big improvement. Course is very nice, trees cut. Like using credit card. Wednesday senior deal with lunch is great idea & good price. Suggest drinking water on course & paths need fixing . Staff very friendly.
This course has been under major major renovations. About a year ago I left a 4 star review. But the effort alone has moved me to give 5 stars.. The owner and his staff are relentless in making sure The Meadows continues to improve. Enjoy the price now.. only a matter of time.
great course!
It is always nice to be able to play golf l in February in NJ. The course was very soggy , flags frozen in the cups and goose turds aplenty, but it was still fun.
No good
Never went to the facility but my church is next to it. We own a portion of the course.
Just don't go there.
It might be a north jersey thing, but the holes were very close to one another. I'm not one to always hit down the fairway either. I'd only go back if I had to. The greens weren't in good shape either.
Positively atrocious!!!!! Yes, I'm aware that it's been raining and the ground is saturated but the grounds are all chopped up - the greens are nothing but ball marks and debris. We booked an early tee time so we could get thru the course at a good pace. Front nine went well.....then we pulled up to the 10th hole. There were 3 foursomes on the same hole. Why??????? Because there was no one out monitoring the golfers. After we waited a lengthy amount of time on each hole we called the pro shop and got nothing but "im sorrys" from the girl on the phone. She told us that those groups must have gone out on the back 9 without permission. However, she was alone because all the other guys that work there had left to run errands. What a way to run a golf course. Eventually, the group in front of us let us play thru (only after we asked) - the group in front of them refused to let us play thru and played so slow....like they owned the course! Eventually, we had to jump a hole so we could get some rhythm back in our game. Sad to see the course go so steeply downhill after hank sold it. Most likely the last time we play there unless there are some drastic changes made...like honoring golf etiquette!!!!!!!
GREAT ATMOSPHERE.
Nice course. Tight layout. Under new management with improvements being made.
For this early in the season the course was in decent shape - was a fun round - guys working in the pro shop and restaurant were very accommodating. note to those playing any golf course - 1) if you swing and miss the ball twice on the first tee and shank your third shot , put your driver away and go to the range - you don't want to hold anyone up behind you 2) lose the stupid looking hat - pros don't even wear hats like that on the golf course 3) rake the bunkers when you are finished as a courtesy to fellow golfers 4) throw trash in the cans These are no-brainers -
played here since I was a kid - nice little local course. good for novice golfers. they are doing work on a few holes
This golf course recently changed ownership and course management. The course has been in need of grounds maintenance and upgrades for some time. Today we attended a charity fundraiser golf outing and they offer a great value and good fundraising potential. Looking forward to see how they upgrade the course as it sounds as though it will be much improved in 2019.
Getting some improvement work done. But challenging course. Great staff ownership. Must try.
Doing great job on course up grades
May be the worst course I’ve ever played and they charge $60 for it! Tee boxes are like hitting from the rough. Grass clippings are so thick I was covered after the first hole. I literally saw a grounds crew dumping a load of clippings in middle of a fairway. No drainage to speak of so standing water everywhere. Absolutely nothing good to say about any part of the course.
Great short course , filled with "golf strategy", that challenges you on every hole
Golf club with gold clubs
Great course at a great price.
I've played many courses in NJ. This is by far the worst experience I've had. My first suggestion is you DO NOT play this course. However, if you do elect to play, make sure your life insurance is paid and DO NOT plan on being home for dinner. We left after 9 holes and it took 3.5hrs with multiple close calls from sideways shots. At one point there were 4 groups on one tee, the Rangers advice to us was, if you are a good player, go join a country club!! Needless to say save yourself the aggravation and play elsewhere!
Cash only is archaic. Greens ok, fairways and t-boxes very average
This is a very well kept course with excellent greens. If you're in Manhattan or North Jersey it's also going to be a short drive. Best of all, the Mgr. there, Dennis really makes newcomers feel welcomed and regulars like family and does his best to accommodate everyone.
The only good thing is the price
(Translated by Google) Meadow fairway is too poor, lol (Original) 메도우 페어웨이가 너무부실함,ㅋㅋ 좋와지겠죠,,
BEWARE - NO GOLF ETIQUETTE OR ENFORCEMENT I have been to Meadows a few times now, and every time I have been disappointed. The prices per round are some of the lowest in a wide area , but unfortunately that doesn't make up for the "over-par" experience. Among a multitude of minor problems, the major problem was lack of coordination. The holes are constantly backed up in various spots throughout the course, and this is due to groups constantly cutting or starting at whatever holes they want to. The most recent visit, we had a total of three groups, at three different holes appear out of nowhere and jump in front of us, on to an already crowded hole. There was no starter , no one managing the course. It was a total free for all and that more or less summarizes the past few times I have been there. We ended up leaving at the twelfth hole because there were 4 groups waiting to tee off. As we got back to the club house there was literally a line of people waiting for carts.
Course is being worked on. Head pro there is a awesome guy.
I played a round there yesterday, after not playing there in over 2 years. It's definitely better than what I remember. Considering how cold it is, the track was in decent shape and played pretty quick. There's not many courses open during this time, I'll definitely go back again. I'm sure this course will get 5 stars in the the spring/summer.
Always a good time here and the beverage girls Alexa & Nicole are very nice
good
I made four prepaid tee times from an online offer. Unfortunately, I had to schedule knee surgery and couldn't make the tee times. When I called the course they were not accommodating and said that they couldn't reschedule my tee times. Very abrupt with me and not very cordial.
Good golf course, easy short. Nice bar
It's certainly no Pebble Beach, and the staff can be a little abrupt at times...but if you are looking for a cheap round of golf at reasonable prices, this is the place to go. The place fills up very fast in the morning, but even during the summer you can usually walk up and play a round in the evening with no tee time scheduled. RECOMMEND bringing a GPS or rangefinder, because the course is MUCH shorter than the signage indicates.
The course is in good shape
won't let you walk near it if not white
Pretty good course.
The course is pretty short and not too challenging however the groundskeeper keeps the course maintained.
Nice public course with wide fairways and large, contoured greens. There is no driving range. Friendly restaurant serving sandwiches, burgers and some prepared meals. Golf carts are available.
I play here all the time with my friends. Good place to go have fun even when your not the best golfer
Great value golf spot. Recommend bringing a range finder as not a single hole is marked correctly for yardage.
Course is in great shape and very pleasant to play.
Good place to play
Not well taken care of. Ball marks throughout greens. Nothing to help replace divots. No marshals to help play time . Saw 7 people putting on one green. On scale of 1-10 maybe a 5. Certainly could be better.
Not worth $70.00 by any means. Slow pace, mediocre maintenance and poor layout. Good course to play on when others are booked. Staff was good.
Not bad.
Great golf and staff
This is what happens when you dont have a starter. This place was at such a slow pace of play it was brutal, thats on a monday am no outting.
Good
I see big improvement Friendly staffs. Nice course, good price. Can't wait to go back and play.
First time playing here. Course was in very nice shape, greens especially. Rough was a little long. Sand traps had actual soft sand in them and were groomed. Got an online deal and well worth the money. Will definitely play here again. The other thing I liked was you didn't have pay a county "membership" fee like a lot of courses up here in North Jersey. Cons - Pace of play a little slow but not awful. Played on a Wednesday and teed off at 8am and finished the round in about 4:40. Would have liked to have seen some longer par 3's. I think 2 of them were playing under 100 yards.
The course wasn't so bad. We went on a Saturday morning and the guy at the front desk was nice. However, it seems the "locals" that come to this course get the upper hand. When we went the people behind us were rushing us meanwhile people in front of us were on the green. The so called ranger was telling us to hurry up and hit the ball meanwhile people were still on the green. If we would've drove our ball we would've ended up hitting them. Other than that the course was okay.
The layout of the course is good. It doesn't have a whole lot of change in elevation. The past 2 times I went, the t-boxes were hard as a rock. They need to be aerated or something. Today was a very hot day and they have zero water stations on the course, nor did they have a cart girl which is borderline dangerous considering how hot it is was today. I'd play here again, but not for $63. It's a $40 course at best right now until they up their game.
Course in bad shape, people are very nice, but it can not make up for conditions
The course is interesting but the grounds are not well maintained and there is a ton of slow golf
Great first round of the year type course.
Play here quite often. Great
wet, worn, confusing not in best condition
