Came here on my birthday for a great day & was pretty disappointed....Couldn’t find the balls you hit...part of the course was completely filled with Geese poop....pretty unkept overall....wasn’t clearly marked so you were guessing which way to go.

Very good all around course. Could it be better? Yes, but then again, not many golf courses are perfect. The tee boxes are perfect. Most of the fairways are very good. The greens are perfect! The bunkers are ok. It may appear wide open, but to think and play it that way is a big mistake. Playing it a couple times will familiarize yourself with where you need to hit it. It is just a couple feet above sea level so there are spots where salt water intrusion will kill some of the grass, but if you hit it in the right spots, it's a non-issue. It's NOT a links course so don't play it that way. There's very little chances to bump and run it, and every green is elevated (in case of flooding). Bring bug spray because even the always windy conditions won't keep the mosquitos at bay. A good value

Course was too packed to play but it was a holiday weekend. Driving range is too short for drivers, irons only. Only option is for small ball buckets (45 or so) so if you want to be at the range for a bit you'll need to refill once or twice.

Very tight course, went with 1 out of state friend (Both first time), was hard to read the direction of some holes. Some greens are 10-15 yards from eachother and creates an uneasy "what if" feeling when hitting your approach shot to the greens. Conditions were great for a public course, great views of freeport and surrounding area. Could be a favorite course to some but for me it was too "on top each other" feeling to be a return trip for me. Also a bit expensive. 2 people with a cart was around $120. All in all, not for me, but might be for others who have a very confident short game.

This is a nice course. The greens were excellent. The only reason I can't give 5 stars was the mosquitoes!! I got bitten to death out there and noone mentioned this when I was paying!!! Be warned... Take plenty of deet with you!!!!!

Only course you can play on the weekends under 5 hours. Greens are mint right now. Fun layout Food and Beverage is lacking

One of my favorite courses. Lots of water and the wind from the water is not too helpful. Now that the Town of Hempstead took over the course it looks way better. Only problem is they are still charging a little too much

This course is a former shell of itself. This course was special and always fun to play, but they have let this course go to down hill. The course conditions are poor. It is inexcusable to have ground under repair in the middle of fairways and on multiple holes. Also, they do not have their license to sell alcohol. Part of golf is the social element, and not being able to share an ice cold one after the round with your friends just adds to the frustration of playing this course. Also the halfway house was closed. This course can be great. It can be special.... but the way it is being managed, it will never reach its potential. The town should outsource the management of this to a real golf management company and make it the treasure it could be.

We come to Long Island several times a year to visit our daughter and her family. Weather permitting we play golf here when ever we can. We try different places but have a few favorites. Played Lido Golf Club today and we were very pleasantly surprised. I think these were the best greens we’ve play on Long Island. Might be better than Bethpage. The tees and fairways were pretty good too. Inside staff and the starter were all great. Played in less than 4 hours walking. Save some gas for the last 5 or 6 holes. It gets interesting at the end. The experience was great. Highly recommended. We’ll be back.

This is probably the best public golf course I've ever played on. Spectacular water views. Perfect greens. Reasonably priced. Strong winds are norm so bring your punch shot.

Needs a vender TOH needs to get a vender in there. Should be carts with food and drinks. The course is in decent shape greens are better than they have been in years but compared to middle bay it needs a lot of work. A vendor is number 1 priority for sure ridiculous that for 2 years no vendor.

Very good links facility on Reynold Channel. Course does have issues from time to time like heavy rain or when geese are migrating thru. Many really quality golf holes. back nine...especially last 6 are as good as anywhere on LI. Greens generally on slower side but are consistent. Good hard working staff. Limited pro shop...good grill with top pub grub

Made a reservation for New Year’s Day through their website. When I arrived, The course was closed. No notification email, call, no notice in their website. When I called they essentially said tough nuts. They blew our holiday and refuse to set it right. I’ve read some other poor reviews regarding basic understanding of courtesy. Move on to a course that appreciates your business.

Granted we’ve gotten some intense rainfall this week but the course was completely flooded and really shouldn’t have been open. Was disappointed because we drove over an hour each way and I put my tee shot into a pond a foot deep in the middle of the first fairway. And the 2nd. And the 5th... And so on.. Not to mention my feet getting soaked after the first 100 yards and getting completely devoured by mosquitoes on every hole. Quite honestly one of my worst golf experiences ever. But I know the course is great and is a ton of fun but management should have bit the bullet today and shut the course down, it was ridiculous.

Mostly boring holes but some really fun holes once you get near the water. Conditions are pretty poor compared to Bethpage courses that are nearby and similarly priced. Wouldn’t go out of my way to play again but if I was in the area I certainly wouldn’t mind to play again.
