First time in 20 years coming to the range and they took away the driver tees?? You have to bring your own?? This course is really going downhill. Who comes to the range to only practice irons?? Smh

Best public course in the five boroughs. Well kept, good greens. Only criticism is that it’s a driver course - you use your driver on every hole that’s not a par 3.

La Tourette Golf Course is one of six courses owned by New York City and operated by American Golf. Here at La Tourette you will find a good quality golf course, popular with local golfers. The tree-lined parkland layout contains a variety of attractive holes and pleasant features, which should provide an enjoyable test of golf at a generally affordable rate. Worth a visit if you are in the area and have some time to spare.

Customer service by management is obnoxious. A problem that had a simple solution escalated into a 15 minute arguement where a threesome in front of me were sent away because management was too rigid to try to find an amicable solution. Ruined the start of my experience.

People in the pro shop are always nice. Course is a nice layout, but needs better maintenance. Always a slow play. No rangers to move things along. Best public course to play on SI.

You officially are allowed to fly a drone at the model aircraft field at the far western edge of the park, at the end of Alaska Place. No permit required.

Pity about the very wet conditions as this course can be great, not today and as I mentioned that was down tonthe rain. The place was sodden, what can you do. Greens were nice though, very good shape considering, teeboxes were beat up. Staff friendly as ever and always happy to help. It took a while play the full 18 due to an outing, but hey I was out in the nice warm sunny afternoon.

I really can't say enough about this golf course, my friend and I play this golf course last Friday, the greens were beautiful and the fairways were pristine though the pace of playing was a bit slow I really didn't mind it at all what I do mind is the price they're just overpriced, I really think they should bring the price down it'll be well worth it, I'll probably play there at least twice or three times a week, due to the pricing I will give this course 3 stars,

Course is in great shape. Greens tee boxes and fairways tip top. However, the heavy rains left some wet, soft spots. Some golfers Left some deep tracks on some holes. Anyway, still the best public course on Staten Island.

My dad has been coming to this golf course for over 30+years. He has loved playing here from the start of his love for the game. He moved to Florida over 10 years ago and every Spring and Summer he visits us he goes back to his golf course. This year he is here with me since Memorial Day and he has been 3 times a week at the range. The lovely lady after seeing him come in the past few weeks suggested he join the monthly package that gives him 2 baskets a day for the month. He came home so excited that he could join and cancel when he goes back home that I told him please join on me. He signed up Friday got his 2 baskets Friday and played 1 free game and 1 coffee he got from signing up yesterday and to see the smile on his face when he came in from the 18th hole was priceless! I gave him for Father’s Day Gift Card to play 4 games and coffee money. Daddy is at the range right now before we have Father’s Day Dinner. He is enjoying his day doing what makes him so happy at LaTourette Golf Course a place that has always been special to him! The golf course is perfectly maintained. The staff is awesome and welcoming. You can enjoy your game you are not rushed. These are all Daddy’s words about his time here when I ask him how was his time at LaTourette? He meets up with a lot of the same players from all these years and loves seeing them again! Thank you LaTourette for making my Dad’s memories so special!

Golf course is nice but the wrinkled lady working at the counter, I think her name was Krista is a lazy and miserable b***h! I usually don't complain but the way she made me wait and then decided to help the person behind me when I was in line for straight 15 minutes, then just to tell me that the driving range is not available is downright disgusting and not a way to treat a guest at any business. If she is miserable she better stay home rather than take it out on other people. I'm not coming back to that golf course until they replace this lousy thing on the front register.

I'm 0/2 on my experiences with La Tourette in SI. The first time I went it literally took nearly 5 hours to complete the front 9. They were good about it and gave us rain checks to return and complete the back 9 another day. I called to use my rain check today and they said I could come in and golf 9 holes. When I arrived they told me they do not ever do 9 hole appointments, and I would have to pay the 18-hole rate to play 9 holes, but that they would take my rain check and give me half-off the 18-hole rate, essentially negating my rain check. This was my last chance to use my rain check as I am moving out of state, and I didn't have time to play the full 18 holes. I asked to speak with the manager to see if an exception could be made. The girl in the pro shop was very helpful and tried to get the manager, but the manager was unwilling to even come speak with me. So I left with a very sour experience overall.
