County owned golf course, driving range and practice putting green along with a pro shop all hidden in Yonkers. Built on a hillside and surrounded by lush greenery this golf course gets you just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of life to play a relaxing game of golf with the quiet atmosphere of no road noise, you quickly forget you are in the states 4th largest city.

Designed by famous golf architect Tillinghast, this classic course is a target golf challenge. It's much more important here to be straight than long. The course currently is in impeccable shape ... slick (but fair) greens, smooth fairways without any bald lies (extremely unusual for a public course), rough that is properly maintained, and bunkers with soft white sand.

Quite good for a public course. Some narrow and tricky holes. Greens were too slow, but typical for public course. Fairways were fairly well maintained. The big problem is pace of play. They need a more effective ranger keeping the groups on pace for a round at least under 5 hours.

The golf course is in great condition even now when the fall is starting to take hold. It is well maintained and definitely will fill that need for golf if your looking for something that is just enough to get some swings in. The front nine plays tight and you can ring up some high numbers on holes 2 - 5 and again on the short par 3 7th and 8 is a tight driving hole especially from the tips. Get through the front in decent shape and you can put together a nice score. Plays to par 70 with a slope of 118 and rating of 67.4 from the black tees (tips). It isn't long, around 5800 yards but it's near the city and definitely worth a visit. There's a bar/restaurant which is reasonably priced and the golf course staff is friendly and courteous. There's a Pro on premises always willing to help and available for private lessons.

Really a fantastic course. Very interesting and well maintained. Everyone played at a great pace and were extremely friendly. Bob helped me a lot with my set up and cured a nasty slice I picked up out of nowhere. Fantastic experience overall.

Golf course is in Horrible condition from Tee’s to the greens. Seems like every year after the Red Klein tournament in early July the course falls apart. Who can I send a complain letter to?
