We were just there this weekend visiting for a golf trip. Pros: Greens- They are all in great shape. Course design- It was a good course with some really exciting shots required. Staff - No complaints, they were all really good. Cons: Fairways- They are all in pretty poor shape. The turf itself was spotty with a lot of dead areas. Information- No GPS, no yardage books, no 150 sticks, very few marked sprinkler heads. Given the fee they're charging, I would expect better.

This is a great layout. If you can work the ball it's a lot of fun creating shots. The greens roll well and true. Overall for the price it's a must play. The only reason I'm not rating this course a 5 is a few greens had damage from the mowers. The views however are stunning!

I truly enjoyed my round at this course. Played on a Monday at 3 pm. I was stuck behind one group for 6 holes, and when they let me play through eventually, it was clear sailing. Finished in about 3 hours. And for $35? I wish I had a course like this to play back home. Definitely tough to get to but worth it from either Santa Fe or Albuquerque. The stand out holes are 4, 10, and 18 in my opinion. All have water and each one is beautiful. Lots of elevation change here but I'd like to try and walk it someday. The holes have a good mix and there were some spots where you run out of room off the tee. Next time I'll know better. Definitely a wonderful muni. Some locals pointed me in the right direction.

Course is a really fun layout, although not very long from the back tees. There are times when you’re forced into a shorter shot based on the design. The course was in decent shape, the fairways were excellent, but for whatever reason the greens were spongey, shaggy and bumpy. Course staff was very nice and helpful. Definitely worth the drive.

What a nice Robert Trent Jones course. Spectacular views on every hole plus a nice and challenging course. I wish we had this course in Ohio! A must play course.

The course was in top condition. The staff was friendly, helpful, efficient. But one mechanic was the best example of pride in his job. He heard our gasoline cart backfired a few times and drove over to apologize and switch that cart with his so he could work on it. He volunteered to help us. He was also a kind young man. This guy deserves recognition for working as a team member, recognizing a problem, offering help and taking responsibility to take care of the situation. He was there Monday.

Very Pristine and exquisite golf course with lots of serenity. You always feel like you have the course to yourself.Greens are very well taken care of and you leave feeling refreshed. If you ever get a chance Cochiti is a must play for New Mexico.

THE must play if in area if you love a course with no houses, silence but the sounds of nature..wish the carts were electrical. Just got back from $$$$ golf in Hawaii..this course is a real bargain..if you travel by RV they have big lot..ask to dry camp or stay at the great Corps of Engineers park just down the road

A fantastic golf course. I played it in the middle of July when it was 100F out and the course was in great shape. My wife drove the cart and she even liked it. Good price on the green fee, too.

The course is visually beautiful. One of the best in New Mexico. Staff is super friendly as well. Course is definitely a course built to practice your course management capability. Where cochiti loses stars is the price point to maintenance rate. It's priced like one of the nicer courses in the area, but the tee boxes are shot, brown patches throughout fairways and greens could use some work. Overall enjoyable, beautiful time but needs a little tlc.

Came to NM for a 3 day 7-round golf week. Had such a great day golfing Cochiti on Tuesday that we rebooked for Thursday. We got four rounds here and it was still fun and challenging. It is not target golf, but the course will hand you triple bogeys if your not careful with your shots. The staff is friendly and the course is the best value in NM. The restaurant just reopened after a remodel and it looks great. The course is in excellent condition.

Spent the day with family on Saturday playing the course. The food at Kiva was excellent, the staff was super friendly. The pace of play was a little slow due to a 5-some in front of us. But after a couple of close shots, they started to pick up the pace. Tough course but absolutely fun to play. Looking forward to playing out there again.

Just got back from a vacation to the Albuquerque area. Before the trip, we booked starting times at Paa-Ko Ridge, Black Mesa and Twin Warriors. Had another open date on the calendar so decided to try Cochiti Golf Club and am very happy we did! I think this course had the best views of all of them and the golf course was in excellent condition. I enjoyed all 4 courses but my wife thought Paa-Ko and Black Mesa were too difficult. Multiple teeing grounds for different handicap levels made it challenging for me but still very playable for her. Also, of these four courses, it was by far the best bang for the buck! Highly recommended!

Cochiti Golf Club is a true gem! Fantastic layout, beautiful views, and the most fun golf course you will ever play. If more people knew about this place, they would definitely add it to their bucket list! How this golf course isn't ranked in the top 10 to play by everyone is beyond me. I will make a special trip to New Mexico just to play this course! Do yourself a favor and make the trip. You'll be glad you did!

A true gem. A Robert Trent Jones jr.New Mexico jewel that is off the beaten path and is well worth the effort. Magnificent views, excellent condition, and just a cool track. New management team has done a remarkable job and are very user friendly. Compared to some of our other higher end courses, this is definitely the best bang for your buck.
