The starter searches through all your stuff. The most violating experience. Would not allow a few light beers in my cooler and demanded I threw them away. The manager was a Southern man who was very condescending and rude. I will never play golf there again after playing there for 20 years. Horrible golf experience.

The worst of the county courses. Not because the course itself is bad. It’s a short course, but narrow with small greens. The staff is the worst part. The rangers are non existent. I’ve never finished a round in under 4 1/2 hours. If that’s not bad enough, the racism there is real!

The golf course itself is not so bad, very easy, however my number one complaint is Etiquette or lack thereof. People who play here have no idea how to act right. 1. You hit your ball 3 feet off the fairway, it will be picked up (don't use PRO V1s in Newark). I had to literally yell at people who pretended like it was their ball 3 times ! 2. When you hear "FORE!!!" take it seriously. It's not a ball lofted up in the air coming down next to you, its a line drive at your skull and you might die. 3. People loose everything, some guy left a whole cooler on the hole before lol... there were clubs missing, guys asking for clubs, gloves.. its a mess. 4. Level of play is poor, before you tee off you most likely will have to wait for someone to hit their ball from your fairway into theirs. 5. I saw an altercation lmao, two guys got into it not sure why but it's consistent with the vibes. 6. I will go back to mess around but if you take your game seriously and dont' want to be frustrated with poor etiquette and searching for 10 min for a ball that was taken, don't go here.

Best course that nobody knows about!!! The conditions, layout, staff, and pace of play are outstanding and the greens fees are rock bottom. Some people are skeptical of the location but no worries, the property is completely secure. The course is in Newark, but it sure doesn't feel like it. You almost feel like you are golfing in central park.

Lovely little course nestled in weequahic park. They do a great job with the space they have to work with. New changes to hole 10 and 11 are wonderful. Course is usually in good shape. My go to in Essex County since the wait times for Byrne is absurd

The staff was most accommodating and got us out on the course in 10 minutes. Greens and Fairways are Lush and the new design of some of the holes is very pleasing. A red tail hawk held onto my ball for a minute on the 13th hole. Our round could not have been more pleasant.
