This Golf is classified in the category of Public golf course.
Used to be a nice track, always well maintained. Since the area had lots of rain, it was cart path only - they should have warned people. The pace was brutal and we gave up after 4 hrs and only 13 holes. A ranger would have been nice considering the groups 2 holes behind pace. The condition - every bunker was washed and littered with rocks. No cart girl and very little drinking water. Not likely to return even for a deal rate, let alone the rack rate.
This is one of my favorite courses. the people here are super nice and relaxed the food is good the golf is FUN and not overly difficult the condition of the course is always pretty good the greens are medium speed the cart paths are like a theme park ride it's priced pretty low for how nice it is ($59) It's just a good time all around. BUT it's BYOB so bring some beers and a cooler. In my opinion, this is another reason to love this place as long as you can remember. so rare... Definitely give it a try.
Awesome day of golf!
Pace of play was very good for 7:30 am on a Sunday morning. There might have been a bit inconsistency in the bunkers, but that's being very picky. The tees, fairways, and greens were in really great shape. Play this place if you're in the AC region. No alcohol in the club house, and the cart girl motored by pretty quickly, but the course itself made up for it.
This a premier golf course. The only thing I didn't like were most bunkers didn't have sand in them. I would like to see this improvement.
The Good - - the staff, unbelievably accommodating. Almost anything that you need that will try and get for you. - We had Sub's delivered before the round (8 of us) they paid for the subs (yes we paid them back) set it up in the dinning room, They then wrapped them up and held them for us for between 9's. - the greens putting and rolled well The not so good - the tee boxes are a mess, shame as well What you should know - this seems to be the place for Bachelor Parties, we were a small one, sandwiched between 2 larger one. - TD does not have a liquor license, so you can bring your own coolers that they will ice down for you
Unique course unlike any other in the South Jersey area, definitely worth a play, BYOB if you plan to have a few, there is a beer store down the street.
First time playing this course. LAST time playing this course. Almost 6 hours and just finished 13 holes. We gave up and headed back to the clubhouse. On the way back we found a group on the 15th joking around and hitting balls all over the place and not even playing the hole. No golfers on 16, 17 and 18. No ranger. We were really looking forward to playing the course but it's really not worth the trip. Uneven tees, the green were not in very good shape and the bunkers/waste areas (not sure) are full of stones.
Twisted dunes is a very fun course but not a very easy course. The grounds are very well kept, they have practice areas but once you get to the course it gets more and more scenic each hole! The cart path is dirt and winds around the course like a snake, I’ve never enjoyed the ride from hole to hole so much. However, watch out for the hazards! There are so many bunkers it’s actually pretty funny. And some I dare say are 6ft deep, it looks like artillery was fired to the end of the course there side by side. There are a few lakes across the course as well. Greens were a little fast when I played it, but obviously that varies when you play. A few elevated tee boxes and some elevated greens. This is not a beginner course, but I have went with beginners and although they will hit sand trap to sand trap to sand trap, they can still bogey the par 5s. Overall a nice course, 20 minutes from Atlantic City that I would highly recommend playing. Give it a try write a review.
Nice day out for sure
Always one of the best. We play over 60 different courses during the season and this is always in the top three.
Loved the course. Great look and feel to the place. Reminds me of Tobacco Road in NC.
Nice clean golf course
Fun course. Great service.
Well maintained. Good rental equipment. Friendly staff. Great course layout.
Awesome course. Played in early April, grass and greens not fully functional yet. Can't wait to go back this summer and try it again. Wide fairways, nice size greens, not many hazards. I was pleasantly surprised by the shape, size and pace if play. Don't miss this course if you are in the area.
I'VE BEEN PLAYING GOLF FOR OVER 35 YEARS, THIS IS A TRUE JEM.EVERY ASPECT OF THIS COURSE IS FIRST CLASS. FROM THE BAG DROP AREA TO THE 18TH GREEN THIS PLACE DOES IT RIGHT,HATS OFF TO THE SUPERINDENT WE PLAYED MID JULY COURSE WAS IN US OPEN CONDITION. TWISTED DUNES IS A PREMEIR DESTINATION FOR ANY LEVEL GOLFER CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY IT AGAIN !!
Twisted gulfton is slightly burned but a really great place to play doesn't have many trees but is a lot of fun and very challenging
Hadn't played it in a while a found it in great shape and really beautiful holes. I won't wait that long again
Awesome layout friendly staff. Played in February and course was still in great shape. Dying to go back. It's a must play course. Top ten course in Jersey and in my personal top three of all time.
Maybe we just caught this course on a bad day, but absolute worst golfing experience I've had in 25 years. 3 of us were playing @ 1:12 on a Wednesday ...3.5 hours for the front nine! Waiting on every hole. When we finished the 14th, we had been on course for 5.75 hours and were so frustrated we called it quits. While driving back to clubhouse, went passed 17th and 18th... not one group or person anywhere on either hole. Ugh! The waste area bunkers, if you can call them that, we're majestic to look at, but littered with stones and pebbles. Afraid I'd destroy my clubs hitting out of them, some had rakes, some not. Tee boxes were simply overused. And if you're not in the fairway, no chance of finding you ball in the scrub. Holes all seemed the same, nothing memorable about 75% of them. Greens must have been aearated recently, ball bounced all over them. My philosophy is your ball should be able to be found and played, tough to do here for higher handicaps. Looking for refreshment at the turn? Course is BYOB! Never heard of such a thing. Limited parking. Totally unworth the $72/each...couldn't imagine paying $92! Only good thing was management totally refunded our greens fees. Not my cup of tea. Won't be back.
Was quite wet but a great course. Very ruff with cart paths only if you have any walking issues. Man behind counter was a real stiff. Cart guys were great
Always on our groups playlist!
People who say this course is bad have no idea what a golf course should look or play like. Twisted is the best golf course in South jersey. People who complain about uneven lies and sand are the ones who go out and shoot in the 100's. They can't play so they take it out on the course, news flash, it is not the course, it is YOU!! Twisted is always in phenomenal shape, the greens roll true and the scenery is second to none. Next time you are in south jersey play this course, you will not be disappointed!!!!
My complaint isn't about the course, it remains one of my favorites in the AC area. What I am upset about is the NEW method they are sending off golfers; at the 1st and 10th tees simultaneously. Needless to say, this was never mentioned when I booked a foursome for a 7:03am tee time on July 2nd. We learned of it when we checked in and they stated that any delays at the turn have not been an issue and we can expect a 4:15 round. Needless to say, we played the front 9 in 2:03 and had to wait approx 25 min to tee off at #10 and 3 hours later we were done. When I expressed my displeasure at the front desk, I basically got the sorry but oh well attitude. My feeling is that when you pay $105.00 for a round at an early tee time, this should never happen. And, management should have handle the situation differently. But, that is their choice. Now, they have 4 golfers who may never return as long as they continue to use this method. And will serve notice to others to be aware and ask before they book a time if they are continuing this method. Because if they do STAY AWAY!
Challenging but forgiving course. It should let you know in advance that you can bring your own beer.
Great track. BYOB. Magnificent course conditions
Very nice even in the winter
Great golf course a tough test so just letting you know a little pricey but worth it.
Great freaking course. It was a pleasure to play it. The one issue I had was the bunkers. They had a lot of stones in them, so when you went to hit your ball you were bound to hit a stone with your wedge. They should do something about that
Best course in South Jersey very much a links course plenty of interesting holes to enjoy
Good golf course. Fun challenge from start to finish
What a course beautiful fairways and greens with a spectacular clubhouse. Although the fariways were airaided it didn't effect it at all. Beautiful.
Hidden gem
Interesting course. It feels like the cut a course out of a quarry. The carts paths are like off-roading in the desert. There is very little shade so when it’s hot there isn’t much relief. I enjoyed the layout and the greens were in good shape. The fairways were full of divots which needs to be addressed. The best part of the course was the staff, particularly the on course staff (ranger and starter) who kept pace of play moving despite a slow foursome who acted like they were playing in the US Open.
Fun course. BYO. Wasn't crowded. We had a group, they had rentals that were really nice.
Very nice links style course, but has no liquor license
Great course
wonderful!
Good design and greens/fairways in decent shape for early spring. The bunkers however are in terrible condition, full of gravel and absent of sand. Hole 13 was borderline underwater and they had pumps going throughout the back 9 which seems odd considering the front was dry. Probably wouldn't play again until they fix their bunkers.
Yes, definitely the staff is 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! Friendly, informative and eager to share course knowledge even to the point they were apologetic because it was cart path only the day we played (after heavy rains). If you know SJ soil you know why. Loved the layout...bunkers deep and a bit stony. Would definitely play again.
Really cool golf course. Well maintained and in great shape. Only negative/weird part is that all the sand trap are filled with rocks. It’s strange because the course probably has 5 miles of sand traps. Hence the courses name. Either way, it was a fun play.
Sand traps are more like rock traps
Beautiful course
Tuff greens little high priced but over all ok cant walk because of space between tees
This is a great golf course for the money. Keep your ball in the fairway, because if you don't it is very hard to find your errant ball, lots of fescue and tall brush. On a windy day, this golf course is very tough. There is a par 3 on the back nine that you have to hit over a 50 foot revine, and with wind blowing in your face at 20-30mph, a 5 is a good score. They do not have their beer licence so they encourage you to bring our own beer and coolers, which is a very cool thing. I play here every year when I'm down at the shore, definitely a great golf couse.
very cool links style course. excellent condition.
Great links style course
Great course tough play!
Awful starting staff, very rude, because of them we will spend our $400 somewhere else.
Fun challenging course, often wet. Waterproof shoes are required almost all the time. It can get very hot on sunny days. Not much shaded area.
Challenging course, no doubt but the wet was to much to overcome. 2 holes closed for water and every sand trap was a water hazard. I know it's the winter time and the ground drainage changes but it would be hard to go back for what is supposed to be a top notch $100 round course in the summer
One of the best courses near AC!
Challenging course with unique features.

Great layout, friendly staff, good price
top notch course in every way. the fairways were as pristine as could be which was amazing considering the recent weather. the design and layout was unbelievable and the views from tee to green are second to none. oh..and the winter greens fee w/ a cart was $31!!! I've played every public course in south jersey and twisted dune is at the top of my list
Management was helpful with a situation I had
Great course but it's 90 degrees and the drink cart was no where to be found.
Links style course. No restaurant/bar facilities on course and very small club house. Course only in "fair" condition.
Great course. 7200 yards from the tips. The greens looked like they were aerated a week ago, but they still rolled niced.
Love the course is a long course and beautiful
Great course for women who like a challenge But also appreciate the advantages of playing from the red tees. Really enjoyed the course and can't wait to go back!
Love the layout. Greens were good. Traps often have pebbles it the sand. Took about 5 hours to play, first group took 4:50. Guess the rangers don't care, we were told to keep up as we waited on every shot. The course was littered with divots. We spent a lot of waiting time filling them in. But we still enjoyed it. Staff except ranger were great, especially bag drop and starter.
Fun challenging course
Great place for fishing
Great layout, excellent greens and a fiendly staff make it a great place to play.
I have played this course often in the last 4 years, and here are my observations: The course is usually in good condition, considering the heavy level of play it receives. The rates are on the higher side as compared to other courses in the immediate area. If you are a single, the website doesn’t make it easy for you to book a tee time; thus a call to the pro-shop is necessary. It should be noted that this course doesn’t have a liquid licence; not an issue for me, but it could be for other golfers.
Pretty nice course, different then I'm used to. A different look after finishing each hole. My mind set was like riding a dune buggy to each hole. My playing partners declared before we finished that we need to go back and play it again!! Exciting!
Nice links style course outside AC.
Great course tuff layout but fun,one of my favorites,no bar so that's why no 5 stars
Larry was awesome on the range
Very well manicured. Was really soggy during my outing, but was pleasant, none-the-less!
Challenging course, tight fairways. Kids up to 17 play free with adult Mondays through Thursdays.
Good employees and service
Greens rolled true! Nice track
Great time. Dad is 85 , so big brother, me, and five nephews had a great day!
Great course layout
Excellent course be mindful of the fescue, golf course doesnt not sell alcohol but your more then welcome to bring your own
Its really not anfriendly place inless uve been a longtime member
Great track, but needs to better maintained in some spots. Links style course with whispy fescue to deal with. Overall enjoyed playing this spot!
Cheap but really great course. The value was incredible. I'd definitely go back there the next time I'm up in Atlantic City.

Great track. Gorgeous views. Fast greens with challenging hole placements. Awesome day out.
Nice course, well cared for and a good challenge.
Nice course very long.... Very good views.... With a round and then a trip to AC
Solid course, fun to play.
Nice well manicured course.
Twisted Dune Golf Club was the highlight of our week at the shore. Yeah we had great weather all week the beach was good rode wave runners etc. But my wife and I decided to check out The Matt Callaghan golf clinics before we played the course. We each spent an hour with Matt and Jeff at there clinics. They were both very helpful and worked with us on our game. On top of that they were pleasant and made it fun. The golf course is very challenging and I can’t wait to play it again. The rangers checked on us and made sure we weren’t having any trouble. Very scenic golf course with a little of everything. The staff from the cart guy to the gentleman in the club house and the young lady in the snack shop were friendly and make you feel at home.
My favorite and most challenging course of all south jersey. If you attempt to play from the Black tees, be humble by the fact that you might not reach all greens in regulation, giving the wind.
83. 4 3 putts
Excelente lugar lo recomiendo para estar en familia y con amigos
Fun course with decent elevation changes.
Great course, different challenge everyone it's played. One of the best in NJ
Beautiful course
Spectacular golf that's a public course and a lot more affordable than you would expect given hope nice it is.
Intriguing layout. Would love to see the stones sifted out of the green side and fairway traps. Greens have challenging undulations, but would benefit from regular rolling. Give twisted dune a look. Very unique.
First time playing here. The greens were aerated so putting was bla. Will come back! Very interesting holes. Worth the money to play it even with aerated greens.
Played there with a buddy in June 2012 (14-18 Handicap). Got a deal on Deal Caddy, so we basically played for 1/2 price. The course was in Excellent condition. The staff was friendly. They don't serve alcohol, but you can bring your own (BONUS!). Nothing negative to say about this place. Will definitely come back.
This course is awesome.
Awsome course~! Friendly staff. Recommended
Cool. Chill spot
Love the layout, even though some holes are laid out a bit repetitive. The course is not extremely difficult which makes it fun to play. The way the course is laid out, at most times it feels like you have the course to yourself...unless of course, you pull or shank one over the huge hills that separate the fairways. Very well maintained but could use some stone less sand in the bunkers. My favorite in the O.C.N.J. area.
Love, love love this course. Beautifully maintained!
Beautiful golf course with awesome people to greet you. The holes were very well done with a great scenic view. Perfect place to go for a solid golf course.
Very tough course if the wind is howling, but great dune style course,no bar,but down the road thier are a couple
Great course. Challenging. Not for the light hearted. Staff are organized and very accommodating. I play there regularly and the course has always been in great shape.
Beautiful golf course but if you're there and it's cart path only, skip the cart and walk. Bunkers are terrible due to water runoff, stones, and hard pan sand, so avoid or you're adding quite a bit more strokes to your score.
Love the course but this year it was not in great condition.
