Nice in shape course. Even though the cart girls avoided us for 18 holes. Today we were starving and thirsty.

John Pope

Please don't go there.

Joseph Pepe

Place is an absolute dump. $70 a round. GTFO. Don't bother.....

Shawn Oneil

Nice golf course

Ken Malloy

Course needs some serious work on Tee boxes, fairways, etc. Bag Drop and Cart pickup is terrible- no signs on where to go Totally inconvenient and disorganized. Workers on course with lawn equipment parked in middle of fairway with headsets on. How to drive up in cart from Tee Box for him to recognize us. Even after we spoke to him he wasn't eager to move??- Asian, young kid just for your info....

Michael Nelson

Jeremy Langer

Course is expensive for the shape it's in.

tim horan

The worst staff and golf course I have ever been to

Marty Coe

Course in excellent condition. Tee and pin placements changed from week to week to make it more challenging. Love it here.

John Kosbab

Earnest Carroll

I enjoyed myself. 100%

Bill Donahue

Food excellent, music was good. A little pricey but not horribly so.

Ricardo Bodkin

The club is clean and kept nice. Went to the Gibbs hall for a comapny meeting. The food was ok and the room was plenty big enough.

Samuel Adler

Fun course design. Looking forward to seeing how this course develops and reinvents itself.

Ethan Riedel

Fun track, just needs to fix up conditions

John LoMonaco

Wide open course, challenging but conditions were spotty and probably not worth the $75 greens fees.

It's a place to have fun meet people friends walking the go car understand each other and play the game thank you

TopCat 238 NJ

The players have no clue on how to play the game. The hole is over there. Not me or my car. Wish they would put up the safety nets like they had in the past. What's it going to take. Golf ball hitting a car and a accident.

Mike Cartagena

Not my cup of tea. Looks good for big party. Wedding's.

Ken the golf pro is knowledgable and always tries to make your visit enjoyable. If you have not played there lately you will be pleasantly surprised.

Christopher Fitzsimmons

Course was in rough shape. They said they got 9 inches of rain memorial day weekend and more the week we played. Standing water on many fairways. Probably should have been closed for the day.

Anthony P. Ursino

The course and tavern are both fantastic. It's always in better shape each time I go. It's constantly improving and the staff is doing a great job. It's hard to beat for the price in the area and they show continued signs of work being done. The layout of the course is great and challenging. Each hole is unique and far from boring. Green speeds were good especially considering we are in the middle of a total heat wave. Great golf course and definitely stay for the food if you play. Tavern 19 blew away expectations!

Robert McGill

James Lee

Good course in great shape! Very playable! Not bad to walk!

Kc Cabonilas

Recently played a round here. It was my first time there in a couple of years. They have put a lot of money into the course and it's still improving. What a difference it was from a couple years ago. Definitely coming back!! The only bad side is the first fairway with the dirt patches. However, with all the rain it's easy to see why. The greens were great!!

Tony Alfonso

Not in good shape at all

Could be nice course, but needs quite a bit of work.. The Tavern is great.

Matthew Taetsch

The course does not drain well. It was very swampy in areas. It was also cart path only on most of the course which slows down game play. It was not a very good value for the money. A few of the greens were temporary.

Yvonne Breckenridge

Paul Oster

Love the layout. Needs a little TLC but good round. Patsy is a pleasure to deal with on the 19th hole.

Scott Cougle

It was terrible. Would it kill someone to go put some yardage markers out? Terrible condition. I won't be going back.

Stu

Sun Eagles is back. Course is in great shape and maybe the best burger in NJ at their Tavern 19. They have done a great job and still working to make it better. And yes, I had a par on the 6th hole!

Mike Speck

Lousy shape.

They're putting a lot of money into improving the conditions. New traps, drainage etc. Still a ways to go but getting there. Very friendly staff and the tavern was a nice surprise.

The greens are in good shape and are tough. Almost all are not easy approach shots either. This “golf course” is apparently undergoing a major overhaul. I honestly think they need to just blow it up. Almost every fairway was soaked beyond play. It shouldn’t have been open with the amount of water on the course. Every sand trap had more pebbles than sand. Boo. Insanely overpriced. Zero ranger or management presence. There was a FIVESOME in front of my group taking 20-25 minutes per hole. Called pro shop, ranger never came. Also put 3 singles out as they came in (which I was one of) and just said go whenever you’re ready. Paired up with one of them and he was really cool so that helped the overall experience a bit. They are using the Tillinghast name to over charge and stay afloat. It’s like getting a 1992 Mercedes with a Kia engine in it and the paint is peeled off- not worth anything. The tee shot on the back par 5 (hole 15 i think?) where you have to hit through old power lines is really cool! Gives you a mini golf element. Maybe in 5 years and after a complete overhaul it could be good. It is definitely a challenging layout for its short length, it’s just a dog track with zero on course management or ranger presence. Play the county courses or spend half the money and play orchard up the road if you’re looking for budget friendly.

Nice gold course, nice banquet area, friendly staff.

Richard Dominguez

Suneagles golf course is located on the property formerly known as the Ft. Monmouth Officers Club, now privately owned but opened to the public. Both the course and club have been renovated very well while the club is more than suitable for large gatherings, fully catered by the club's new owner. Good, free parking. Beautiful grounds with a separate 19th hole tavern serving food and alcohol beverages to finish a round of golf or small groups.

Luddy DePasquale

Place was a swamp

Joanne Mauriello

Tavern 19 great food. Chef from Dish in redbank. Check it out

Give it more time. It's coming out of the government mindset. Don't give up on a A.W. Tillinghast. Thank the golf gods it was not bulldozed a few years back after the Fort closed.

6.5 hours to play.... Course ok

Michael Scotti

Robert Vertullo

This is a great Tillinghast layout. You have to think your way around and hit your spots on very small greens. Conditions are only OK. If they had the money to bring it up to the level of, say Hominy Hill, this would be a special course. Played in 4:15 on a Sunday, so that was nice. I found the staff to be perfectly pleasant, I don't know what other people are complaining about. One groundskeeper, as he was driving by, saw me get one close on the par 3 10th and rolled down the window to give me a thumbs up. I plan on being back here this summer. I hope the greens are rolling a bit smoother and faster.

Betty Andrews

Had a school pick up good parking lot

Erich Bodnar

This is a challenging course, which could become a jewel. It needs plenty of work. Tee boxes ,sand traps and greens in rough shape. Distance to the greens are not marked. However, the staff is very friendly. This could become a great course some day . Good Luck, Suneagles.

Rich Parish

A few holes were muddy but as a whole nice place to play a round golf

andrew George Lovett

course is really taking shape. New management is bringing the course back to life. It's almost a must to play at affordable rates.

Mel Co

decent enough, but I hated the 2 temporary greens. Greens are well protected by bunkers and/or undulation.

Jim Fischetti

Stat away from the deep deep bunkers. 2 temp greens.

Ryan Kulat

Fun track designed by one of the greatest good course designers in history, A.W. Tillinghast who designed Bethpage among others. Historical as well. Needs to be kept better to be really nice but ownership is on a transition. Worth a twilight price

Michael Goldberg

Great local course if you want to play golf on a whim. No reservation needed most days. Fairways get a bit sparse late in the season, but great course to get out on a nice day.

Eric Alcera

Matthew Bailey

The place is a complete sham. Bunch of crooks. I wouldn’t let my worst enemy play this course. They tell us three temporary greens after we pay an absurd price. I’ll never play here again.

Nicholas Kenney

Hilary Halliwell

Bryan Smith

Rude and inconsistent customer service. It's been 5 weeks since a ball broke a window of my house and management refuses to fix it or return any of my calls. Not good business for sure. If that's how they treat their neighbors I could only imagine how they treat their customers.

Robert Pittaro

Joseph Puccio

Worked there for 3 years then was fired because acct's 20 yr old son took my place ( age discrimination) pro Ken Pridgen is a jerk Steve Rice owner of operating company cares less just milking US Army. Course in worse shape I have seen it in years Starters and Rangers are Rude. what a waste
