Great conditions, nice staff, slow golfers, a little pricey. Had a wonderful time at Shark River. Wish the ranger would have sped up a few of the groups that were extremely slow - 10-15+ minute wait per hole just to tee off, turned 18 holes into 5+ hours. The price is too much for what you're getting if your not a county resident, which is absurd.

Terrible, extremely over priced and over crowded. They charge you a Depot for non resident and do not deduct it off the greens fees! $90.00 to play a county course that's not that good ... Never again !!

This course is my personal favorite of the fine courses in the Monmouth County Park System. It once was a private golf course and has retained some of the features of a private course. On many holes , the golfer needs to make shots, hit fairly accurate drives, and when the greens are in tip top shape, negotiate some interesting putts. The only draw back is the lack of adequate warm up facilities. Usually I leave the round, complimenting the staff about the fine condition of the course.

The improvements made over the winter are spectacular me the fairways and greens are in perfect condition. There are many new tee boxes and many of the traps have been redone.. challenging course and can't wait to play it again. Awesome, is the word.

This is a nice course that's not too difficult compared to Charleston or Hominy. It's hard enough though so don't be fooled. Most of the fairways are pretty wide so you won't lose too many balls!!! The back nine in particular is beautiful with lots of long holes and mature trees all over. Overall a nice round of golf and hopefully you shouldn't snap too many clubs!!

Great Monmouth County course. Not too difficult. Love the 9-hole plus in the afternoons and the early back nine on the weekends. Challenging long par 5 on 18.
