REVIEWS OF Ocean City Golf Course IN New Jersey

James Curran

A great little course in Ocean City. For the price, you can't beat the 12 hole course.

Adam Cieslak

Loved my experience here

Steve Romine

Poor tee boxes. Poor greens. Mediocre fairways.

Brian Pauling

Jon Buonincontra

Good course to pass the time.

A cozy, easy play course. Recent addition of golf carts makes it a joy! A public course worth ones while. The passing planes and colorful birds make this a memorable experience. Just remember to BRING BUG SPRAY! Best way to play is without a score card, and just practice your chip and putts. Public course brings a few slow poke players and a few pushy puttnuts, but overall people are nice, and staff is really friendly! Cold water tanks are at every few stops, but it's a good idea to bring your own water too!

So I went there with my friends this past weekend in June. I was on vacation from NC and was like why not I had read some mixed reviews and it’s not like we are Tiger woods status we just play for fun. So hopefully this review will help anyone else who wants to go. Pricing: $15 for green fees $10 for club and bag rental. $3 for just bag rental $12 for a dozen balls. It’s only 12 holes. Ranging from 55-195 yards. I can not stress enough, bring and wear bug spray. The fairways are not mowed as they should but most of them are still playable. The greens are hard to read but they are challenging which is the fun part. Most of the holes you will only need between a 4-8 iron. And your pitching wedge and sand wedge. Overall wasn’t too bad. Just be polite to the guy who runs It and he won’t be rude back. Also if you like planes that’s a plus because there’s an airport Nextdoor.

So i wish i could pick a NEGATIVE star rating so from my experience i HATED IT all of the fareways are crapped up and oh oh oh on hole 11 there is a huge hole in the ground with shovels sticking out of it RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FAREWAY and on the green for hole 11 a newly wedded couple was taking their wedding pictures AND THE MANAGER DROVE THEM OUT THERE ITS NOT EVEN LIKE THEY WERE PLAYING We walked up to the manager to see what was happening and he cussed us out and yelled at us do not take your kids here or yourself for that matter

$15 Greens fee + $3.25 for a bag rental = $18.25 to walk 12 holes (37 par course). I consider this type of course a pitch and putt. Every hole but 1 was a par 3 and the par 4 was only 195 yards according to the sign on the tee box. Also, this was the worst maintained course I've ever played on. The grass on the greens were weedy, long and bare in most areas. I've played on courses where the fairway grass was just as long as these greens. Aside from the course being overpriced and in terrible condition the manager was rude and unprofessional when I asked why I'm required to rent a bag (additional $3.25) for the 3 clubs I was planning to play with. I would strongly recommend to avoid the frustration and drive 15-20 minutes off the island to enjoy a round of golf.

The course is in the best shape in years. Glad to see someone is taking care of the greens.

Walked over to the Course after dinner around 5:30pm with a few clubs in hand and wanted to play, more so just chip and putt, was told that I needed a golf bag to play by the unreasonable and very unfriendly older man who was inside, my bag was actually in the trunk of my car but after hearing that ridiculous rule I decided not to play and let's just say I golf more then twice a week and I am not some beginner to the game of golf. Mind you there were only maybe 5-8 cars in the entire place!

I have to agree with some of the negative posts, here, unfortunately. I brought my 11yo (now 12yo) out to try and learn the game on a sunny afternoon around 4pm one day. I walked into the caddyshack and offered the old man my drivers license (having had previous experience with their policies about renting equipment) Old man asks me - astonished-“what’s that for?”. I said I need to rent a set of clubs for this little guy. Old man says (right in front of my 11yo): “oh no, we don’t rent clubs after 3pm...”. What??? Had to turn around and leave with no golf for my my disappointed 11yo. Really, old guy? Is that how we teach the youth of the future how to play the game????? You suck!!! I would have played only 3 holes for full price that day just to get my little guy out there for a little while. Just something to think about if you consider this course-definitely reconsider going somewhere else, instead

Owner was very friendly, and the course was the perfect length for the hot day we were having. The grass was in great condition, just a little buggy, highly recommend bug spray.

A lot of fun if you want to work on your irons. also if you want to teach the Young Generation coming up it's a great course for them to start on. And you can also play through if you are there to work on your irons. Cheap price to.

Timothy Drake

Unbelievably overpriced. Don't play here! The old, angry man behind the counter cursed me out and screamed at me for no reason. I play golf 1-2 times per week at real courses and have never seen anything like this. The man who works there should be fired. If I could give this place negative stars I would.

Jeffrey Mitchell

Father, son, grandson. 12 holes of pure pleasure!

Mike Lehman

Christine Pastor

Very nice family-oriented Place nice to take your children on a nice outing or just to take a nice romantic outing with a significant other!

Benjamin Reses

Nice course.

Mike Damm

Price gouging. Cashier an angry jerk. Left before I even paid because the old guy behind the counter screamed and swore at me. Never give this place business!!!!

Shawn Kenny

Great short course if you need to work on your short game.
