A series of live music events. This visit featured Classic Rock inspired music. Kindred Spirit followed The Ernie White Band. In a recent conversation with Mercer County Parks Executive Director Aaron T. Watson he mentioned a focus on expanding the offerings of the Mercer County Park Commission. This event was well attended, actually "sold out" with dozens of people dancing and enjoying themselves. Food was avail for purchase along with adult and soft drinks at 3 bars. The Mercer Oaks Banquet area offers plenty of amenities including a staffed coat room. Plenty of surface parking with a security provided by the Mercer County Sheriff's Department.

I attend an outing here every year. It is a wonderful course and the dining facilities and food are extremely good. They had 5 inches yesterday and the course was still in very good condition considering the weather.

Saw a great deal on golfnow for Mercer Oaks West course, so I booked it. Pictures online looked beautiful, very excited. Called to confirm tee time, everything looked great. Got to the pro shop to pay and the employee behind the desk conveniently told us the greens were being aerated and the fairways were in very bad condition right as we were about to pay. The course was in such bad shape, I would have taken my business elsewhere if we were notified earlier.

Both the East (think links) and West (think parklands) are kept in very good shape and the staff is courteous and professional. Played East this past Friday and even though we are still weeks away from the real golf season, I found the course extremely playable and the greens rolling true.

Staff were all very good, unfortunately the course has seen better days. Alot of dead spots in fairways and rough including just off of green complexes. Disappointing compared to prior experiences. This was specifically on the West course. Greens were inconsistent as well.

This is a first rate facility for a county golf course - nice large banquet room, a smaller beer and snack room, and a full service pro shop. The golf is top notch for a county course - would recommend this to anyone.

Long time Mercer county resident. Overall the facilities here at The Oaks are terrific. Great golf courses and fantastic catering/events. I have played both the West (traditional tree-lined) and the East (open, links-style) dozens of times over the years. Both courses are generally in great shape considering the amount of play they receive. The superintendent and maintenance crew cannot get enough praise for this. Greens fees are more than reasonable for county residents, however if you leave Mercer county and come back to play, the rates are significantly higher for nonresidents. The only reason that I dropped a star off my rating is, sad to say, the people. This is a combination of pro shop staff & rangers as well as the patrons. By no means is everyone included here, but my experiences have been hit or miss with finding friendly, welcoming interactions with the people I come in contact with. Some visits everyone is great, while others leave me scratching my head and wondering if I'll ever come back. It's a darn shame because the facilities are so outstanding. My "veteran" suggestion is to book afternoon tee times if you are not a good golfer (15 hdcp or below), because the caliber of players in the morning hours will leave you feeling self-conscious and a bit rushed. Overall though, I would definitely recommend visiting The Oaks, at least two times to play both great golf courses!

Played in a tournament in the rain two—man best ball. Course was in good shape, especially the greens. They did a great job running the tournament. A lot of fried foods but the catching Station was outstanding

Sometimes a slow round of golf here but usually on par at 4 hours and 20 minutes. Great staff and amenities for a county course. Play it you wont be dissapointed.

Had a 10:30 am tee time for 2 people riding. Showed up at the started at 10:28 and was told that 10:40 walking 4som was teeing off. Needless to say give yourself a bit of time to accommodate the starts if it busy.

We attended an event for the AHA here. The food and the service were excellent. The atmosphere was lovely. I highly recommend that you check it out for your next party or event!

Wow, what a sweet deal for residents of Mercer county NJ. Very nice, well maintained course that is part of the county park system. Residents and seniors enjoy steep discounts and can bring a guest for great rates too with a family and friends membership.

Both the East and West courses are good layouts and usually in good condition. Currently the west course is almost unplayable due to a fungus. The East course seems unaffected.

Had a pleasant round on the West course but that all went south on the 18th green. There were 3 rangers/starter there and another one drove to them and said something about some golfers not even being able to hit f#@&ing the ball. Not sure if he was talking about us or not but my Filipino girlfriend was close to him and he looked at her and said "Sorry for saying that, you probably don't even speak English, right?".. Such a nice course and but our day was ruined. We finished in about 4:10 so we were not slow. My gf was so shocked she didn't even say anything to him. UPDATE - July 2nd: Bobby Kauth (GM and Head PGA Pro) reached out to me the next day and sincerely apologized for his colleague's comment stating he spoke with the person who said the comment and he has been disciplined but not fired. I don't want anyone to lose their job but at the same time you can't people like this serving the golfing community. He offered me a free round but it would be uncomfortable for my girlfriend and I to run into this guy while playing the course again. I did appreciate the call and apology. Bobby seems to run the place very well and care for his customers.

I love Mercer Oaks and typically it’s a great value, and is a well managed facility. I have never ever seen this course in such bad shape. It’s a shame to see a great course destroyed by poor greens keeping. I really hope they get this course back into its prime!

There should be public paths so you can circuit the lake without trespassing. Unreasonable privatization of public land. It's not like they're avoiding hitting golf balls in the lake (and at endangered waterfowl)

Excellent venue for having a Sweet 16. The client that hired me were extremely happy with the organized seating arrangements and food. The mgmt was awesome as well! I had enough space and electrical outlets for my equipment and the acoustics are great for high bass music. Highly recommend!
