Be careful. The "free round" after five rounds is actually just green fees. Cart is extra. And I walked 14 holes, only needed the cart for the final 4 holes, but I was charged the full 18-hole cart rate. Mean-spirited, mercenary, contrary to the essence of the game. Course is fine, but management needs some education in dealing with the public. I will not be back

Played 7/24 @9:30 as a walk on. $39 to walk and got paired with another single. Course was wet after lots of rain but greens ran well. Course is in good shape. Will def return throughout the season

We like the course as the staff is friendly, it is golf only (which we relish), the course is challenging for both big hitters and us seniors. Recommend gold for seniors as some holes are quite long. It is one of our favorite courses and seems to always have a refreshing breeze. Price is right

I don't play much golf and not the greatest golfer, been to a few all over the state, but this one of the longer more difficult courses I have played, condition was excellent especially for the time of year I went late Sept, leaves may have just fallen aittle and they were already all over it. I played on a week day and as a foursome we were held up quite a few times, I realized it's out of season ur maybe the pro or A worked could have check the pace of play espically on such a long course 6500 yards from the whites!

Old school golf course. Tree lined, small greens. Course was in good condition, very playable for any level golfer.

Dogs Rule

If you want to play a 5+ hour round even when it's not crowded this is the place for you. They just push out as many tee times as possible. Poor management

Nice course reasonably well kept, good fairways and greens. Staff needs to work on customer relations. Don't promise no discounts, thank give a discount at the end of it.

This company does not respect its neighbors. I live a mile away from the golf course and for two weeks I have been calling to complain about their blowers going off at 7:00 am on Sunday. I begged her to please start the blowers at 9:00 am and she said she has a business to run and hung up on me! Rude, just out right rude and inconsiderate.

One of our go to courses. Always in great condition, greens run true and are immaculate. Only problems you will have is after prolonged rain when a few if the fairways become very wet and soggy, this can take a while to clear, though it won't stop your enjoyment. Small greens makes for a challenging round as does the rough when it's wet or damp. Very good value and a good test of golf. Staff always very friendly, more than happy to keep coming back.

Great public facility with smooth greens, nice fairways and always a challenge. Course keeps you thinking. Some very good holes for every level of golfer. It's our regular course when I go visit my brother. Low priced too.

First time playing this course. Played on a Friday, not too crowded. For an older course, it was in great shape, greens were better than courses costing twice as much. As far as I'm concerned better than Neshanic, and Royce Brook east. Not quiet 5 star, but pretty close. I will go back.

I had the privilege of receiving lessons from Kristina Wagner, who is certified with the LPGA Teaching & Club Professionals, for the last few months at Mattawang Golf Club. She was able to see where my game was at, what my goals were and was able to help me develop my skills in the time frame that I requested. She is kind, personable, & knowledge. She provided me with detailed recap emails after each lesson that both my husband and I enjoyed reading (including tips & videos). She's truly great at communicating and at teaching the game of golf. Beyond pure technical instruction, Kristina teaches the enjoyment and sportsmanship of the game as well, providing a great foundation for a sport which can be enjoyed for a lifetime. Thank you, Kristina, for teaching me the game and showing me the progress that can be made with just a little instruction and practice!

My son and I went to hit balls last weekend and the woman working in the pro shop told us they don’t have enough balls and that they are using the balls for the players to practice. I asked if it was just today that they ran out of balls and then she said they aren’t really a club with a driving range. She was rude. People who practice do play and I will not return to play.

For a public course, we were very impressed with Mattawang. The greens were outstanding and the course was in excellent condition. Would highly recommend. It's BYOB as well.

Was recommended to the course for the Kids camp a couple of years ago. The camp was great and our kids look forward to it each summer. We've played many times as a family and individually and we love it. Its a beautiful course that is kept in pristine condition. We're looking forward to playing a lot this Summer at Mattawang!

For the price, A + for Mattawang Golf Club. The course is challenging for a C+ golfer such as I. The bunkers are set up to kill a round...LOL. The staff is extremely welcoming and the course is in great shape after a rough winter. I will definitely be back.

I am not one to leave reviews on businesses as I am an entrepreneur at heart and both my parents have owned several businesses in their lives.. however I cannot fathom letting me/my best friend's experience go to the waste-side. I never caught the obese starter's name or the 70 year old wretched grumpball's name either.. however me and my friend played 9 holes (started at 7:07AM.. finished at 8:30AM) in UNDER 1 hour and 30 minutes.. my friend is really good at golf shoots under par and I didn't play too bad myself if I must be honest.. compared to some of the people I saw playing there and even the staff I would have to say it is night/day.. and this guy several times (3-4 times) throughout my round had to notify me that I need to pick up the pace. The grass in the rough is really high and I like to pound the ball down the fairway like a man. I don't poke it 100 yards down the fairway... and so it is possible for me to have to look a little bit for my ball. I have 6 years of education and this dimwit had to remind me 4 times to pick up the pace.. we played in 1 hour and 20 minutes 9 holes a 2-some. Guy was jealous and a true loser. Ended up starting a huge fight with him and his buddy after 18 and I will never return to that place. Learn to treat your customers better.

Well maintained course. Tees, greens, fairawys & rough all excellent. Eminentlt walkable, too. Only the bunkers fall short; mostly red clay, not sand. QPR is top notch.

One of my favorites....hidden gem...looks easy but plays hard...tiny greens make it difficult...some long par fours on the back nine...18 is a beast...par a great score on that hole.
