Last week, my 18-year-old son and friends went fishing in a small pond located on the golf complex. Unbeknownst to them, they were not supposed to be there. They were under the impression that it was a county park and we're allowed to be present. The golf complex, was merciless and had the police involved. Because my son was 18; he was charged with trespassing. Given a summons and is now scheduled to appear in court next week. My son has special needs and attempted to explain to the owner or whomever was present that it was all a misunderstanding. Both he and his friends are very very good boys. Well raised, wholesome young men that were simply fishing and enjoying themselves. In the last week, I have placed five phone calls looking to speak with the general manager Justin Depew. Each time I was met with someone other than him. I left a message with someone named Justin, Jared and most recently Donovan. Each individual keeps saying that he has left for the day. I'm trying to resolve this amicably. To think, that something as innocent as fishing would warrant having the police called. Especially since it was their first time even being on the property is beyond comprehension Shame on you!
Just hit ball's at the diving range. Decent facility. I would definitely go back.
The place is nice and the food was very good. Burgers are great.
Hit em straight!
The driving range was in excellent condition. I was able to get a big bucket of 100 balls for $11, a good price by me.
Amaxing golf course
Wonderful staff. Wonderful course. Wonderful food.
Very nice for 9 hole course
Nice course to play, very busy on weekends. Chipping and putting greens are well maintain as well as the course.
Went to play Hyatthills on Saturday for what will be probably my last round for a while due to cold weather and I have to say how impressed i was with the golf course and its staff. As soon as we walked in the pro shop the gentleman greeted us and provided us the lowdown on the course, its prices, and services since it was our first time there. Most golf courses I have been to get u in and out and don't care but everyone that walked in while i was there was greeted by first name, it had a country club feel to it. Fun 9 hole course which was in great shape. Best fairways i have seen in a while. 8th hole is 450 yard par 4 and really caught my eye. After the round i went back to the pro shop to inquire about membership options and the gentlemen who checked us in gave us a bunch of options for the golf course and for unlimited balls on the driving range. He really made our first time there a wonderful pleasant experience and made us feel welcome for it being our first time at this facility. I wish I could remember his name but this is definitely not the last time i will be back at this course.
Tablet with riding carts allows communication with clubhouse, gives distance to center of green, well maintained, little pricey but for what you get it's worth it.
Course is fine but they can stack t times too close together which leads to back ups
This is a great place to hit some balls and get in a good 9 holes. The course is well maintained and the practice greens and bunkers are a great help. I will say this, DO NOT EAT AT THE CLUBHOUSE!!! I normally don't write reviews, but I have been this sick since I had food poisoning 4 years ago! The bartenders are great but stick to the drinks and leave the food alone.
Ake sure you make time for 18
Spent fathers day playing golf with my 32 , and 31 year old sons. Course is very nice and well kept. Also was packed for fathers day. Only problem we had was on the second 9 we were stuck behind a father and 2 kids about 3 and 4. Problem was he made them swing the whole way, no pick ups to help pace of play.. Took us 6.5 hrs to play an 18 hole round. The kids moved along 2 feet at a time. 88 degrees out, very bummed out. The starter should have let us start before them.
Great miniature golf course! Fun for th whole family!
The course does not accept the Union County Player's Card so you're paying an arm and a leg no matter what. Most of the greens are well maintained and they provide high tech carts which is a plus. I went there on a rare occasion this past February and could not find the cart path leading up to the third or fourth hole (I cannot recall which hole at the moment). A gentlemen working the course stopped me and claimed I was driving around the course re-playing holes which is absurd! The course was completely empty and to get harassed like that when you're the only one giving them business is uncalled for. The driving range is average and they offer a nice putting green which is another plus. Finally, the restaurant provides for a nice relaxing experience as you finish the course and driving range which is the final positive.
Great golf
Nice place but a bit pricey for the area
My weekend spot
Good driving range and a fairly straightforward 9 hole course. They recently added a second set of flags to the course if you would like to play 18. Not the nicest course, but the prices are fair and there are some interesting holes to be played.
Ridiculously expensive for a 9-hole course! Not worth the time or the money. Galloping hills is a far better course, more challenging and half as much.
Great condition and challenging. Had a great day.
We really liked their mini golf! Nicely laid out and a great course for kids & adults.
Ate here at their Irish restaurant. Really good food, and very attentive staff
Yesterday was an absolute circus at Hyatt Hills, it is definitely my last time trying to golf there. I checked in at 1:15 for a 1:45 tee time and at that point, the front desk was telling people they were running 20 minutes behind. Even being 20 minutes behind, they were still booking walk ins at 1:52, 1:59, and 2:07. The first hole was backed up by 4-5 groups. After 2+ hours and barely making it through 5 holes we walked off. Our day was running at about 3 holes an hour.
My wife beat everyone in Mini Golf.
Driving range. Surrounded by people telling the people who they are with how to hit when they cannot hit themselves. Aggravating
Good food and fun at the miniature golf course
What a hidden gem Played white t box 6000yds Finished 9 holes in 2:15 Sunday Labor Day weekend, nice T boxes for public course pretty level. Nice greens and some interesting holes. Going back and play 18 holes next time. Heard pace of play can be slow but we were lucky.
Wonderful place
Great 9 hole course
In good shape for a nine hole but the Pro Shop manager could use some customer service training. Probably won't return due to this.
A great place for kids as well for adults. Hosted a birthday party for kids and loved the service! The host doesn't have to care much for the party, they provide from sticky tape to food everything. Great service, good good.
Very well maintained golf course. 9 hole course for those of us that don't have four hours to play. Highly recommend!!
Great course!!
For the price of 9 holes, could get 18 somewhere nearby. Relatively decent shape and fun course otherwise.
Course is typically in good shape. Nice tees, nice greens, nice bunkers. Play can be slow at times. Practice range is good too and they have practice greens, bunkers, and chipping areas. Two holes on each green allow you to play 18 and change things up.
Didn't golf met friends for drinks
Great location and well maintained but definitely expensive for a 9 hole.
Not a real long course but very fun.
It was a great time with family
Pretty good golf complex for kids and adults alike. Big driving range with heated stations and excellent mini golf. Challenging course is in pretty good shape reminiscent of a country club, but greens could be better. O Brian’s is also a great place to hang out after your round. It’s a little too pricey but it’s close to major roadways. Overall decent golf facility
Restaurant was decent.
Have only used the driving range. 100 balls for $12, 50 balls for $7. Good facility, yet did not cut the grass or retrieve the driving range balls often enough.
Great local course
Good putt putt, driving range and 9 holes.
Play mini golf. Fun course. Not too hard. Good pizza. Friendly staff.
Nice course close by for this newbie golfer. Plan on losing a few balls in seven.
Great golf and awesome food.
Very very nice for a nine hole course. The fairways were in great shape (May 2nd) and the greens were a bit sandy but rolled true. The staff were very friendly and I like that you can check in, hit the driving range and head for the first tee all in close proximity. We also weren't tripping over other golfers like I have on 9 hole courses. I enjoyed my time here and recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly quick 9 holes.
Pretty good food. Good public golf coarse. Cars do drive by and make noise but not a huge problem. Fun mini golf and good driving range.
They keep the fairways and greens in good shape. I will take the drive for great golf now deal.
Great place to golf, drink and eat. Staff is very helpful.
Mini Golf!!!
The kids had a great time hitting golf balls and played a round of mini golf. The restaurant was great. We had the Lobster corn dogs, Lobster rolls, Buff wings, pizza, steak and fries. Everything was great. I would definitely return.
Driving range has nice prices for a bucket of golf balls
should have been 4 stars but cart path only kinda sucked.
Very slow play, but course it's in terrific condition. Expensive based on other venues in area.
Well maintained 9 hole track.
Decent course, very wet
Great food!
A great place for a quick nine
I understand the difficulties of running a small business so I tend not to leave negative reviews for establishments regardless of my experience. However, my latest trip to Hyatt Hills Golf Complex requires that I share my experience if only so that potential customers can make an informed decision as to where to spend their money. After several months of patronizing this establishment, and dealing with staff uninterested in assisting customers and generally unwelcoming, I was surprised to find that after purchasing a bucket of balls for the driving range, there were no tees available at any of the 50+ stalls on the range. This is the first time I have ever visited a driving range that sold balls to hit yet didn’t have any tees available for their patron’s use, nor signage in the pro shop indicating that tees are unavailable on the range. I was told that “people steal the tees” so I could either rent or purchase one for use. Since I already had my bucket I reluctantly purchased a tee so I could complete my practice session. This will be my last time at Hyatt Hills. No more tee rentals. No more short counts on balls dispensed for the range. No more salty staff. I’d offer to anyone considering this establishment to look at Galloping Hill, Golf Cave, or any other golf course / driving range in Union County.
Hidden gem
Had a blast friendly staff!
Played mini-golf. A fun little course, but the greens are a little run down.
Not a bad course, although the staff is a bit snooty. It's a full 9 hole course with 2 par 5's an 2 par 3's. The course was generally in good shape given the amount of rain we have had, but it's been my experience that some of the fairways don't drain well. The end result, you squish your way across the fairways.(like walking on Jello)
The place was clean and the layout of the place was nice. I paid $11 for 100 balls at the driving range and $8 for 18 holes of mini golf. There's a decent selection of beers at the bar $5-7, and the fried oreo was delicious. I'm definitely coming back!
Bar is fine. Mini golf will close unannounced due to lack of employee enthusiasm and pure laziness. Yes, the hours of mini golf will say open til 10:00pm however chances are you cannot golf anytime past 9:00pm. Poor customer service. The managers are here to drink at the bar and it SHOWS. Be aware.
Great people..and a good 9 hole setup
What a fun way to spend time! Both mini golf and the drive range are cool! The restaurant deserves 5 stars also!
Good place to practice
Holes
Wednesday special for delicious Hamburgers.
Great course great for your game good challenging course.
Tried to play 9 holes and they told me we couldn’t because there was a men’s league and tee times on a Monday at 5pm told us we couldn’t get out till 6pm. By the way there was no one on the first tee and 2 of us playing. Won’t be back any time soon
Nice range.
Great range and course
Golf was great.
Love the course but 18 holes taking 6 hrs n 30 min is unreal!
Never golfed here ate and drank here and it was good
Clean and organized facility been going here for a couple of years now and still one of my top places to hit some balls. Top golf is over rated go here
Had an outstanding time at this fantastic course. They have excellent off road golf carts.
This is a beautiful facility with excellent inateuctors. Their mini golf course is perfect for the little brothers while we wait for lessons to be over. Great staff!
(Translated by Google) Good! (Original) Bom!
Tee time was at 1:45, I got to the first tee at 1:40 with 4 groups still waiting to go off. No ranger or starter anywhere. Paid for 18, walked off the course after two hours only playing 5 holes. We were on track for a 7+ hour round. Pace of play here is insanely slow and there's no employees around to pick things up. I’ve played at hundreds of courses and this course’s pace was by far the slowest. Wouldn’t recommend unless you like waiting 15 minutes between shots and have an entire day to devote to a round.
Nice fun in mini golf
Very expensive for a public course
Good place to hit balls. Reasonable price on driving balls.
Always enjoy food and service at OBrian's pub
The course isn't what it's pepped up to be. $20 for 9 holes?? You have go to be kidding. I can play galloping hill in kenilworth and ash brook in scotch plains for less than that for a full round of 18. Let's get real here.
Nicely maintained, state of the art golf carts and a very wonderful golf pro!
Top notch mini golf course. 18 holes, all slightly different to keep things interesting. You check in at the pro shop which makes it feel even more like a real golf experience. Great place to take the kids for a change of pace. Prices are reasonable as well. There is a casual dining restaurant if you want food post golf.
Decent golfing experience with good food! Nice area to hang out with family and/or friends. Plenty of parking
Nice restaurants and bar around the course
Great small course easy to play and get on
Love their $5 Wednesday special burgers. Great list of beer on tap.
Course was in good shape but they over booked the course and play was really slow. Had to wait at the tee with 4 other foursomes for well over 20 minutes
Great place to play but expensive for 9 holes and can get crowded at times with no pace support
Good condition but was wet (New Year's day). Glad to be out.
Well maintained course, friendly staff, and the rate of play is consistent
My mom, grandpa and Taekwondo master brought me to go golfing. It was a jolly good show
Great nine holes that challenge you without playing 18. The staff is outstanding.
Course is good conditions are good and the carts are nice
Ok
Only a 9 hole course, but in good condition. Multiple tees and 2 flags in every green change up the look and yardage. Fun course. Driving range, miniature golf and Oh Brian's restaurant on site make this a great place for the family.. go all the time.
Great golf course and the price is decent.
Great small golf course for a quick round of golf.
Great condition and very friendly.
Fun miniature golf. Slightly pricey, but there aren't many options.
L kn 6m
Good golf. Very helpful staff. Restaurant is good. Miniature golf is great for the kids.
