I called days in advance and set my tee time of 2:20pm. Today, we arrived 10 minutes before tee time, and were told they had given away our time. The staff explain that we should have arrived 15-20 minutes early for our time, which I was not advised when I called to set our time. Had I been, we would have arrived at the needed time. The staff gave me an attitude and offered no consideration except another tee time an hour and 40 mins later. I was also told during my call that balls were not available for rent, which I discovered they were upon arrival. It seemed like the staff had no interest in accommodating me and my guests, and had no interest in hosting Foot Golf, even though they advertise it. Had proper information been given at my call to set tee time, today's bad experience could have been avoided. Instead, I left disappointed and upset. I will not return to this location, and will not recommend it to friends.

Fairways are not as open as some other public courses so bring extra balls. The course was very wet from irrigation. Also felt rushed since there was a golf outing going on that day.

Course is ok for the money. Would be a nicer experience if the groundskeeper wouldnt drive around and yell at people and the guy inside the shop would say hello or thanks or anything at all. Course itself always seems muddy and wet. Some greens are in bad shape The food there is decent and the people who cook and serve the food are very nice.

Staff was rude and harrassed us about using carts. If you're so miserable at your job, quit. Don't make other golfer experiences miserable because you're a cranky old fart. Go to Cream Ridge Golf course instead. Staff is way more welcoming and course is 100x better.

Poor design, slow bumpy greens, pace of play 5 hours, holes look like they haven't been moved in weeks, one hole cut on a side hill that the ball couldn't stop closer than 5 feet from the hole, grass in some fairways longer than rough, 50$ to play - worth less than 20$

Conditions were great, greens were fast and we'll maintained. The club house lends out coolers if you buy a 6 pack. 6 packs of domestic were $16.

Golf now had a $20 special - golf with cart. Fall November golf... nice course and price is right. Small bar for the 19th hole, but wouldn't recommend for food.

Played the course years ago and back then it was sub par. Decided to go back to see if any improvements had been made. Except for some plantings around the tee boxes not much has changed. Actually it got worse! Tee boxes are the worst I've ever seen. Fairways are average. The rough is nothing but bare patches and the greens were fair. Water hazards are pretty much dried up and what's left is green scum. Overall not a very appealing course. We played an afternoon round and by the time we got to the 10th tee it was hillbilly horse shoes at the club house. Was playing with my wife and as she tee'd off the inappropriate comments and cat calls followed. Pack up and left and will never go back!

Not the best but definitely not the worst. I can only comment on the driving range and putting green. I actually haven't played a game there yet. The people are friendly at least. The driving range stations are beat up. There is no where to put your clubs and no ball caddy. Very, very cheap.

Course is a bit overpriced for the quality. Also we played a round and got reprimanded by the starter on the turn because we were 5 minutes behind pace of play when the entire morning was booked full. We waited in the group ahead of us but never had the group behind us waiting on us. No reason for that old man to yell at us and tell us we can’t go inside ON THE TURN and get drinks and something to eat. We didn’t plan on sitting down and eating inside but apparently we weren’t even supposed to use the bathroom on the turn. Absolutely terrible way to treat customers who over payed for out of season golf on a course that apparently doesn’t have any grounds keepers because it looked like sh*t. I didn’t pay $45 dollars to get yelled at for being FIVE MINUTES behind pace. Get a grip old man.

Wide open course that is very forgiving if you are off the fairway. Tee boxes, fairways and green were in great shape but golfers should be reminded to fix their ball marks

Gambler Ridge is the quintessential "you get what you pay for" experience. Prices are below other courses in the area, but the quality of course is also lower than competitors. Staff is friendly though and I've never had a bad experience (other than my actual play!).

Gambler Ridge is well played but well maintained with a friendly staff, great bar & grill, and very laid back atmoshpere. It's location is tucked away in the rolling hills of central NJ not far from 6-Flags Great Adventure. The course has its challenges with a slope of ~115, Blues are 6300yds, Whites ~6000, Gold ~5600. Excellent place for tournaments with a separate hall for any occasion.

We went out as a 4some playing 2v2 Best Ball. We were constantly harassed in the morning by the staff for our rate of play being too slow because the next 3 holes ahead of us were open, even though when we first teed off they had at least 2 holes ahead of us open to begin with. We asked the 4some behind us if we were holding them up or playing slow at all and they said absolutely not. So we were being constantly rushed because the started didn't do his job right. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because the food staff was very good.

Take your business elsewhere. Staff were rude and disrespectful, talked down to several players myself included. Course is in desperate need of help. Cart paths are ponds or mud at most points, water traps are all covered in green slime, fairways are severely dug up, and tee boxes are half mud half grass. As a side note it's also a huge inconvenience to have cart path only. I was held up several times by golfers driving all the way around to avoid the fairway. I paid $16 on golfnow from a hot deal and even that was way overpriced for the course you get. I will not be coming back.

Buy a lawn mower I found balls on the fairway that other golfers lost. The rough is so high the golf carts need 4 wheel drive to get three it.

Very reasonable rates ($24 walking before 8:30am weekend) for a fun layout with a good variety of holes. Greens and fairways are well maintained and comparable to other public courses in the area. Staff was friendly and ranger helped keep up pace of play.

Decided to swing by after work on my way back to the hotel I was staying in. It was 8:03 PM when I was on the green on hole 18, and the sprinklers were turned on me right while I was putting. I was told the carts had to be returned by 8:15; I had it returned by 8:05. The staff was impatient and let it be known by pulling off this very unprofessional move. I even heard someone yell from the patio as I was gathering my belongings from the cart: "The last cart is back hurry up and get it parked". Decent course at an affordable price, but stuff like this can leave a sour taste in your mouth.

Course was decent. Rain the night before had the fairways like a water hazard. Normal 18 holes takes the two of us three and a half hours. Took 5 hours with having to walk from the cart path. Should have been a little cheaper since we had to walk most of the course. People playing here are very loud and don't have much golf etiquette. Had multiple times when people were yelling or carrying on while we were on the tee box. Most likely will not be heading back.

a cow pasture with 18 flagsticks stuck in it. I was hitting the middle of fairways going up to my ball and it would be in a mud patch. 1 hole had a nice design and nice fairway ( 12) the rest looked like they were designed by a farmer. rude guy in the pro shop. wont be back even at this price.
