Addition to 2 new machine for cutting greens, they just bought 2 rollers. Now the greens are cut and rolled 3 times a week. The greens now roll so true and fast. It's amazingly fun. They will keep it in this condition always.

Very atmospheric park. It's best to visit on the weekdays where you can almost have the park to yourself.

Range is closed for reconstruction. Hoping it will go from a 3 Star to 4 or 5 star. I was told they are knocking down everything, and will have all new mats and balls. Should get better soon. They thought they may be open the week of 5/30.

The rough was long and hard for amateur's To hit out of. It also increased the amount of time it took to find balls even if they landed a short distance from the fairway.

Unfortunately, my overall experience over the last two years at Darlington has been very disappointing. While the course itself is well kept, and decent for a public municipal course, it is far below comparable courses in nearby Morris County. Management of the course is very poor. The website for tee times is ancient, and I've been told I could not play 9 holes. Even in the afternoon. Staff is very unfriendly, and marshals are non existent except on the first tee. There are also a large amount of geese near the water in the first three holes. The course could have a great short game practice area, but the two putting greens remain closed most of the spring, and randomly during the season. Which makes no sense, since the greens are very large and one could be open at all times during he week. The range needs more modern matts, and is uneven or deteriorating throughout most of the facility.

Highly over priced at $75 a person to ride.Obviously nobody owns or uses a divot tool or can pick up there feet while walking .tee boxed are beat up rough is 8 inches high .Took 20 min to check in we were stopped by ranger for 10 min to tee off then told to go then asked to wait again for 5 min .miss managed and poorly taken care of.Course lay out is nice not worth the money

Darlington is a well maintained track that gets heavy play. The recent redesign of several holes improved drainage and made the course more interesting, but it took forever for the new greens to take. The head greens keeper is a real pro and she finally got the new greens to mature by cutting down some trees thereby eliminating excessive shade. For the amount of play this course gets, she keeps it it top shape, usually unaided by the preponderance of idiots who don;t fix ball marks, What the course really needs is some rangers with enough clout to get slow players moving and with the mission of providing some on site training for ball mark abusers. Unless you start early the course is tediously slow. If you want to get in a quick 9 you can get there early and be done in 2 hours on a back 9 start. If you do play, please fix your ball marks, pick up your feet on the greens and pick up the pace--6 hours is 2 hours too long for a round of golf.

I waited on line in the club house for 30 minutes to by a gift card for a friend. After waiting online the person behind the desk did not know how to set up a gift card transaction. He attempted for about 5 minutes to make it work. After which he told me I needed to have more patience. He then proceeded to give me my money back and not give me a gift card so that he could try and help the next customer.

One of the better Bergen County courses. Tough to walk, particularly the last 3-4 holes of the front 9. I really wish Bergen County would just include a cart automatically within their greens fees when playing 18. I have always seen it in fairly good condition.

Meh. At the height of the season, conditions were horrendous. Now, fairways are recovering from rot. Greens better after aeration. Bunkers have been bad for years. Construction sand, and very little at that. Could be much better.

I like this place. not to many flat lies at least the way I play. It has only gotten better. I think the number of rounds played each year has dropped so the course is in better shape. The current county administration has made great strides in up keep and the new reservation system that allows for same say play is excellent. Bravo to the county GOP.

Good golf center . They have great clubhouse and good snacks . The field is very good and they tend to get busy some times during the weekend. Overall I enjoy coming here during the week less people and very more calm .

I don't golf much but went here on a Thursday morning and had an absolute blast. Course was very well kept, greens were pristine and the atmosphere up in the mountains was great.

Beautiful place but not too many activities. Great if you just want to hang out by the water, go for a long walk, or fish. There is a golf course too I have no idea how much the Golf course costs.

Good conditions from tee to green. Greens could roll a little faster then I'd rate this a 5... This course offers all different types of holes doglegs uphills downhills and makes you use all your clubs. Fun course

You don’t even deserve 1 star. The maintenance is poor because you probably cut the grass every two weeks. The grass is so tall my whole team is losing golf balls unnecessarily. And service is at a snails pace. This course is only 10 minutes from my home yet I’m forced to travel elsewhere. Darlington Golf course attendees should take lessons from Orchard Hill Golf course, and Vally Brook Golf Course !

Of the county courses it has a more interesting layout and can be challenging from the tips. Often well maintained for a municipal course as well.

The course is in very bad shape. Yes haven't been cut in days; weeds several inches high were growing. Greens were very slow and not in great shape. This course used to be in great condition in years past. It had turned into a cow pasture.
