Thanks for your feedback. Even though these last couple of reviews are greatly exaggerated, we certainly did have problems with greens #10, 12 and 13. We posted 3 signs on the front doors and in the shop explaining the details before anyone paid. We also lowered our greens fees (they are still reduced). With the exit of the extreme weather conditions, and onset of cooler evening temp, our recovery is at 85% on those greens. The rest of the course is in excellent shape. We are over seeding with a new species of grass to prevent this problem in the future. I would like to invite the two golfers back. Ask for me, and I will personally take them around the course to show them our recovery. Thanks, Bob Lowrie, General Manager

Great golf experience for all skill levels. On site restaurant has large selection at reasonable prices.

The course is in good shape a lot of blind body's of water tread carefully. I still think the course is over priced $60 your bunkers are filled with rocks and the cart paths are in much need of repair it feels like your constantly driving over speed bumps. I never see this course busy the parking lot is never packed and this is the third owner is 3 years clearly something is wrong ..

Joseph Daudier

Love the course but too many lost greens.

Pro shop dude is cool and courteous. Course has been in great shape and the price is right. They don't force you to ride on the weekends anymore!

The course is nice ,very wet that day. Most annoying thing was the maintenance crew, seemed like every other hole they were mowing or doing something, unlike other courses they continued working despite the fact we were playing the hole.

Enrique Camano

Simple, straight, and inexpensive. Great for inexperienced golfers who don't feel comfortable tearing up a fancy course. Some of the greens were a little funky/bumpy, but otherwise it's a well-kept, tidy place.

Craig Kirk

Ok its new in season but greens were sandy and airated, fairways were fine but muddy in some places. Yardage markers were unknown except for white 150. Chuck in the shop was very nice. Not a $40 course yet

Kristian Elvina

Absolutely terrible conditions today. They have absolutely no business charging half of what they charged me. The greens are in horrendous shape and the 10th, 11th, and at least 2 others can’t even be called “greens”. It was like putting on a dried up mud field. For the money I’d never choose cream ridge over Gambler again. I’d give 0 stars if I could.

Made a tee time for 1:56 but they wouldn't let us out until 2:30 because they somehow didn't have enough golf carts. On top of that, they made us finish a half hour before sunset. Needless to say this is extremely poorly managed. The course itself is also in very poor shape.

Use to come here often but will not be back after my experience today and the way I was treated in the club house. Only two out of the back 9 greens were playable, and when we asked for possibly getting our money back the guy ridiculed us and laughed! Lack of respect and professionalism

Course is a nice public course. A good place to play for beginners and intermediates who are looking for a friendly course that is fairly easy to access. Course is generally well maintained, but this is not a country club.

Came here yesterday, 8/18/19, and what a disappointment. Been golfing here for about 6 years and never experienced the course in such bad shape. The 10th, 11th, and a few more holes on the back 9, the greens were just unplayable. Patchy, dry, and just looked like sand was thrown on top of it to “try” and make it look better. Went into the pro shop after the round asking why the greens were so terrible. They said, “the kids who worked for maintenance went back to school”. I feel like with them still charging their normal price, the greens should be in top shape and that’s just a poor excuse for not fixing it. Very disappointing.

Dan Forester

This place just flat out sucks. Not golfer friendly at all. Piss poor management

Eric Desisto

Pretty good shape and for $28, you can't beat it or complain!

Pace of play even at 8am is a problem. No ranger that was willing to say something to the problem group. Few greens are still recovering.

Gavin Hager

Decent course.

John Pohlmann

Good course with fast greens. Some tee shots were a bit too challenging from the tips and some greens have excessive slopes, in my opinion. I will definitely be back.

Restaurant is good- I'm only reviewing the golf course. Whoever is giving this course 4 and 5 stars must be related to the owners. For reference I'm a mid-high handicap generally shooting around 90 from the whites. There are no holes worth mentioning for being particularly fun or challenging. The biggest challenge on this course is a tie between trying to navigate your cart over the WORST cart path I've ever encountered and trying to find a spot of grass on some tee boxes to tee up your ball and plant your feet. Gigantic potholes, tree roots, horribly bouncy I had to keep my clubs from falling out of my bag. They don't even cut the shrubs in areas that have them so your cart doesn't fit through. Multiple tee boxes we just dirt. Notably the 2nd par 5 on the front (I think hole 4) is just a hard clump of dirt. What?!?! Greens were slow and need to be cut and rolled. The fairways you can find are in decent shape. To have the audacity to charge $60 a round and then $40 in the afternoon is a complete robbery. Oh also I should mention this review is based on only 11 holes because they forgot to mention to me upon paying that they SCHEDULED A GOLF OUTING ON A SATURDAY AFTERNOON. So by the time we got to hole 11 there were literally 5 groups backed up waiting to play so we just left. NEVER AGAIN. Spend your money anywhere else. Bar and food was good though.

This is the best course I've been on, Courtney and Jake are excellent employees and you should leave them tips. The carts are dirty but its not not their fault!!!!

Played here in 1995 when visiting the States for the first time. My friend found out I played golf, so he offered me to play, I borrowed some clubs, and he brought me here. Fell in love with the course from the first tee. The fairways are very different than here in the UK. The greens were outstanding, make ours look very ordinary. We don't get much water on our courses but I thought the size of some of your lakes were going to be daunting, but they weren't. I was more afraid of them damn Canadian geese lol. At the end of the round I shot a 77 and was well pleased, especially with borrowed clubs. One more thing, I did manage to drive hole 15. Would love to play the course again one day, and would like to thank you for your kind hospitality.

Dan Pennacchio

If some of the greens had maybe it would be a little nicer to play

Chased off course at 6:30pm when other courses want carts in by 7pm. Hit the turn around 5:30pm & no hot dogs available. Golf carts are slow & loud as can be (propane I guess) Overall a sad day when I was hitting the ball great! Never coming back!

Just played there August 29, poorly setup golf course when greens are in good condition. Today many of the greens were in terrible condition. The fairways were in good condition. The course is poorly marked and we spent a good amount of time looking for the location of the blue tees. Some were 75 to 100 yards from the white tees. We couldn’t find the blue tee on the 10th hole at all. We would have checked on the score card but the card were cheep with no layout of the course on it. All that for $50. You might think that $50 is cheep compared to other courses but $10 would have been to much.

Decent enough course with some challenging holes, kept in good shape, greens are slow, cart path is bumpy in some spots, bar has good service and food, cart service on course is friendly. Worth the price.

Jonathan McCann

I like this course- but it would be nice if they kept up with simple things like the cart paths in the photos below.

Solid course for the money but pricing *could* still be better. Normal weekend morning rates are $50-60 and personally not worth that. However, twilight rates drop as low as $34 and $30 if you book a foursome. Would love to go during the day early but definitely not paying $60 to play there. With that being said, staff is good, food is great and course is kept up pretty well. Update: I've golfed there at least once a week the past 5-6 weeks and the conditions are terrible. Greens are literally dirt! The roughs are unkept and the tee boxes are nothing but dirt as well. They just lost my entire group who has been golfing there weekly for years.

I played there 2 months ago and it was horrible, played today the course is in fantastic shape, the green are almost perfect. Gave 4 stars because I don't like cold hot dogs, lol.
