Charleston Springs is home to two championship golf courses that ranks with some of New Jersey's best. These contrasting, well-crafted and challenging layouts provide a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. A must play if you are in the area.

Maurice Bell

Great course in great shape!

Anthony Gannon

Well maintained course.

This course is absolutely fantastic, well manicured, and has a terrific warm-up practice area. Is the price worth it, not a shot for an out of county resident. The staff inside the clubhouse are about as rude as the come. Disrespectful old men, wasting away precious oxygen before they willow away 6 ft. under, other than that, great spot.

Ryan Engelstad

Beautiful course and great service even on a holiday.

I got off one to two times a week and found this course on Google Maps it is very open and in decent shape it is a county course but I don't think it's worth the $60 price tag I probably will not return

Golfers would be hard pressed to find a better practice facility in central Jersey. Oh, and the courses aren't too shabby either. Just kidding. They're fantastic. Fun and challenging. For a county course tho.. a bit pricey if you're riding and/or from out of county but worth the price if you're playing it once. Check it out for sure.

Really really nice set of golf courses. Played the north course this past week and the south last year. North is challenging links style layout. Very thick fescue and rough along with length make this a real test, meaning my score was …

Michael Cappo

Played the South course today. Very good condition of fairways and the greens were excellent.

Donald Hahn

Course was in perfect condition

Jim Byrnes

Both courses are in spectacular shape. Specifically, the North Course is one my my favorite public tracks that I've played in NJ. However, you better follow all course rules to the letter or the insanely rude and obnoxious rangers will let you hear about it. We got yelled at for driving about 10 yards past the cart stakes, which weren't very visible, on the 18th hole and the ranger was condesending and rude throughout the round, and the people I play with probably take better care of the golf course than most people while out. All in all, SPECTACULAR golf, really annoying and rude staff who think they're PGA tour rules officials who really make about $13 an hour to be a problem.

James Lee

Public golf course with 36 holes and great facilities. I like both 18's equally as well

david yatcilla

Great public golf facility!

Scott Strohmenger

Kevin Buckley

Great course nice and open with some tough hole a little pricey for non residents so go off hours to save some money.

Course was in superb condition for October. Greens were vey fast.

As a person with minimum experience I found the course difficult (I played the north course). There is a lot of fescue which made it so any off target shot ended up being a search party. Was a beautiful course. Would definitely go back to try my hand again.

Lex Vodopija

Played in March will expect a much more beautiful course in June.

Chris Romano

One of the top public courses in the country with 2 different courses in great shape! Linx style north course fescue lined and south also fescue making it challenging but playable. Greens are always in great shape and even puttable after aeration surprisingly. They can get greens pretty fast if they want. Not too much slope in greens but def makes you pay attention.

Great course!

John Rod

The North coarse is always challenging because of the narrow fairways and thick rough which forces you to play safe. Spectacular water views and a few par 5's that seem to never end! The South course seems more open but can also bee equally challenging with some lengthy par 3's. Best played in late spring, both courses are well maintained and by Monmouth County and easily top the list for Central New Jersey courses.

Anthony Soscia

Two interesting and challenging courses. Both are usually in excellent shape for a course open to the public. The courses are different in that the North has high rough which requires accuracy. The South is more wide open but is longer. excellent practice area.

Kelly Barry

Excellent value - and open through the Winter, weather permitting. Lots of goose poop, but we managed through it OK.

Thom Keyes

South course is well maintained, did not play North but maintenance of both are always above average. Preseason prices are no bargain, but you can't complain because of the quality or condition of the course.

Sean Fox

Mike DeMaio

excellent. little pricey for out of county residents. two courses. wide open, be careful of breezy days, especially cooler ones.

karen vanidistine-murtha

Great course, both North and south.

Paul Onori

Sean Vergara

Great place to play! North Course is a link's style with such wonderful views. The practice area is the best in Monmouth County - you have around 200 yards or so to work on your short game. If you're a county resident the prices aren't expensive.

Chael Bell

The north course has beautiful views. Carts don't have divot mix so the fairways are in awful shape. No one repairs marks on the greens either. If they put a little effort in maintaining the course it would be the nicest county course in NJ.

Thomas Bavero

Nice course. Greens were just air rated though. I'll be back in a month when they're healed.

Kyle O'Donnell

Tom Hughes

This might be my favorite public course

Chet Jeurkar

Gene Lee

Great 2 course facility in the Monmouth county park system. Conditions are good and greens are true.

The Best County Course Anywhere Anytime... Country Club standards

Prior to going to Charleston Springs I read the reviews. The reviews all have a reoccurring theme. Great facility and the staff is rude. I have to echo the reviews. As a Monmouth County resident, and a golfer who plays the County courses, Monmouth County should address the rude staff they are employing at their facility. I went with a foursome. Two of us are vets. I was told through another golfer that the course has a veterans discount. So when checking in I asked for the discount for me and my friend who was visiting from Missouri. The older man behind the counter was rude about our veteran status. He asked for our DD214s. Which we do not carry or travel with. I provided my NJ drivers license. Which has my veteran status on. I provided my DD214 to the State DMV as proof. They in return stamp VETERAN on my DL. The old timer says he can't except that. I asked why he can't except a drivers license with VET status, and explain that's why the state has provided this service so we don't have to carry the single most important document you have from the service. He had to go and ask another staff member. Comes back and excepts my NJ DL, but informs me that my friend has to pay full price. At this point I say just let me pay for both of us. I asked him if he thought two 45 yo men were trying to pull one over on him. He said we should travel with our documents. For a $10 savings it's not worth it. I wish I could post the entire conversation. Trust me when I left two different people walked up to us and apologized for the way the guy was talking to us, and thanked us for our service. Then we went to check in with the starter and get our cart. The twos guys in the starting box were rude as well. They had everyone waiting all crazed up to. We played a great round. The pace of play was ok course is very nice. The staff there is horrible. This is why I normally don't advertise I am a Vet and look for anything. I can think of better ways to embarrass myself and a friend over a $10 savings.

David Wright

A great golf course for all levels of players

Patrick Shallis

Great track with great facilities well maintained

Billy Chiusano

This is one of the best public courses in new jersey. Fun links style courses and I feel like the wind is constantly blowing in this place. Grass range and great 100 yard short game area

Robert Ilowite

36 good holes on two courses. Generous fairways. Considering all the rain the North course was in very good shape but slow greens. Easy walk as courses are relatively flat. Opening holes a bit of a walk from clubhouse. Some of the nicest staff ever. Front desk, rangers, cart girl all excellent. Five hour round today which is unusual. Snack bar closes early. No place for a beer Good price, good courses.

Great golfing experience. Only negative was golf personnel shadowed us a few holes to speed us up and nobody was right behind us.

Beautiful Day. Course was great. Fairways were aerated but I will be back.

If you don't have a county card (or are playing with someone who has a county card and can get you a "friends & family" discount), be prepared to pay $76 to walk this course. Don't know about anyone else, but I have a hard time paying $76 to walk a muni course! Course itself was nice, but that was over shadowed by the fact that I know I grossly overpaid to play it.

Benjamin Gray

Great course. In great shape and the rounds run smoothly

So if you've played county courses then you know this is a great place. There's 2 courses. North is a links style and south is traditional. Both are excellent challenging and really play into a real round of competitive golf.

Challenging and in perfect condition this summer. Stay out of the fescue to score. Then, stay out of the fescue. Lastly, stay out of the fescue. If you didn't get it, STAY OUT OF THE FESCUE!

Ryan Kulat

Best county course in Monmouth county in my opinion. Has two courses to allow for divided play. Never overly crowded, always in great shape!!
