Outstanding time. Greens and the course in very good shape..We will go back, for sure !
Course is an absolute joke for $85. The tee boxes were in as bad a shape as any I’ve ever seen. The greens were actually half decent but the course is completely neglected and in awful shape. Don’t waste your time or money going here. Spend $20 more and go to a much better course down the shore.
Nice
Called yesterday to see if I could play a quick 9 before leaving town. They don't offer 9 hole rates, and it would have cost me an additional $20 just to have my fiance ride along. It's unfortunate they couldn't just help me out instead of forcing me pay ~$50+ for 18 holes, and an additional $20 for my fiance just to ride along. Keep in mind, this is a Monday afternoon. Didn't seem like they cared at all on the phone. The course looked dead on top of it all, when I drove by. I've played here many times before when staying with family in Brigantine, and it's nothing special at all. Next time I'm in AC, I'll travel out of my way to find another course.
Nice greens
Great course off the beaten path. Definitely a hidden gem.
I didn't want to even put one star will never golf there again bad experience
Very well maintained
Nice place
This is a perfect spot to go out and have a good time on a pretty good little golf course. It is NOT a Country Club, although the greens always seem to be really good. Nice variety of holes and an ultra friendly staff. Course is not the hardest you will ever play, unless the wind kicks up...then it is everything you can handle.
Beautiful views
Course was ok a lot of grass chunks from the grass cutting, the guy at the front was nice, not bad for price
Fun course. Great for family time.
I love playing miniature golf when I'm down the shore. Everyone was really nice. From the man in the little box where you pay to other players. Some holes were harder than others, which was good it saved me from having all sixes on the score card. :-) Can't wait to go again this summer.
Course is in very good condition. Good layout and surroundings. One major issue, mosquitoes. We were swarmed by hundreds of them on every tee, fairway, and green. Even sitting in the cart. Bug spray didn't help. Got eaten alive. That is the only reason for me not to return
It's lit fam
Brigantine Links - great little tract
It was ok. Cart paths need a lot of repairs. A lot of pot holes all throughout the course. Greens were in good condition.
Not as good as before, food was so so!
Paid $70 this past Sunday (10/1) and boy it was not worth it. Tee boxes were chewed up very badly and the layout was one of the most boring I've played in years. Lots of 380 yard par 4s that are right straight in front of you. Greens however were in excellent condition. Clubhouse staff was polite at best.
Beat shape in years......Greens were great
Terribly maintained. Mosquitoes are overwhelming. Standing water everywhere. Needs 3 party to manage.
Great greens. Course takes on completely different character when the wind blow which is usually the case.
This is a beautiful, Scottish links style, public course.... Fairly wide open with strategic water and sand hazards.... The true challenge of this course is the wind.... The maintenance and care of the fairways and greens is outstanding and best of all, incredibly reasonable costs
Un luogo pittoresco. Molto bello
Nice course tucked into the homes in the North end. I would not recommend playing during the weekend as the rate is steep($85) for and average course. Weekday is a little more reasonable. Customer service (or lack there of) could use some work. Non engaging staff who come off as somewhat rude when you ask questions. Both times we played this year we dealt with employees who didn't seem to care we were there and gave very short smug answers when trying to ask about the course and weather.
The Course: This is a nice course. Challenging in some areas, easy in others. It was a decent course for all levels of play. Staff: The Ranger of the course that my group had to interact with was incredibly overbearing and unpleasant. We had asked the staff to combine two groups of three and two into a group of five after playing four or five holes. We were about two holes ahead of the group that was behind our group of two and were told that we could. We played two or three holes together and then the ranger I am referring too spoke to us about playing with five. After explaining to him that we had asked another staff member to combine groups and were allowed too, he became incredibly combative and disrespectful to us. He threw numerous insults at us and questioned our intelligence on numerous occurrences. After speaking with him, he allowed us to continue playing with a group of five. He warned us about pace of play, but the group behind us was still not on the Tee box of the hole we just completed. After finishing the front nine, we stopped at the turn to get food and water. After 10 minutes, we went back out to finish the back nine. The ranger took the opportunity on hole nine to slow us up as to impede the speed of play so he could break up our group. He continued to call us liars, a “fish tail” was what he said we were giving him, and continued his insults. We had enough at this point and split back into groups of three and two. He continued to watch us as we completed the back nine of the course. I will say, that the rest of the staff at the course was very kind and courteous. If this ranger had not acted in the manner he had, I would not have had any issues with the course. Cost: $85 during the Fourth of July weekend was reasonable. Final Thought: Had the ranger handled the interaction with my group with more tact, I would recommend the course. However, due to his actions, I would not recommend anyone I know going to Atlantic City to golf here anytime soon.
Good
Greens were very slow and the course was wet and always windy
The course was in pretty rough shape. The tee boxes were completely fried, along with most of the fairways. I guess they are using all of their water to keep the greens playable. (They were) The bugs weren't very fun either, you need to douse yourself with Off before and during your round.
Too windy ..best greens in the county..very well kept...watch out for mosquitos wear bug spray
Overall course is in decent shape - greens in nice condition. Some wet spots on the course.
The fairways and greens are in the best conditions of the past five yeas ! Hit 'em straight !
Needs a lot of work
Greens were outstanding. Fairways are in great shape. The clubhouse is clean and warm. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Great day all around. I recommend this course to everyone who wants to challenge themselves on the Golf Course.
Always a fun course to play.
Fun course
I would have put negative stars if I could. I'm in the middle of my round now and for 85 dollars I'm embarrassed to say I played here.don't make the same mistake we did and if I could post a picture of the crab grass filled tee box I'm about to hit off I would.
Course in pretty good shape.
They charge too much for the condition the course is in. $85 on weekends is robbery for this cow pasture. Not impressed. $49 on a Tuesday was a little more reasonable.
Very good public golf course. Greens are in very good shape for putting purists. Course is a bit wet, but it is by the ocean. Not busy at all in the afternoon. I lost my sand wedge here, called up the pro shop and they had it for me to retrieve.
Nice course. Fun to play. Bring bug spray. Lots of mosquitos.
Way to windy
Not really sure if all the others were playing the same course as me. This course has more crabgrass than any other type of grass. (they cut the rough with a front and loader towing a mower head. Big ruts from the tires in the rough) It could be a great course but they obviously are not funded well enough to take proper care. I will grant that the greens are in relatively good shape. thus I give one star for that and the fairways are ok and the staff was nice for the second star.
The course was difficult but very well laid out and a beautiful course overall. The actual golfing experience is one I would recommend to players with a little more experience, but would still be fun for any skill level. However, I had a huge issue with one particular employee. When my group arrived (5 people) we were told we’d have to split our group, which we anticipated and has no issue with, so we split into a group of 3 and 2. The front desk employee was nothing but cordial to us. About 5-6 holes in, we asked an employee riding a cart around if we could join together to move along more quickly since the group of two were playing best ball anyway. The employee who gave is the “okay” was also wonderful. Roughly 2-3 holes later, an older gentlemen was waiting in a “Ranger” cart towards the end of the whole. From the very beginning of him approaching us, he was nothing but rude, condescending, insulting, and just overall very off-putting. The first thing out of his mouth was “do you not know the meaning of four?” (Referring to my friend who yelled our other friend’s name, instead of four when the ball was hit near him). After that, he asked if we knew how to count to four and asked how we thought playing with 5 was okay. He then proceeded to tell my other friend that he needed to go see an eye doctor after missing a cart path sign, rather than just asking us to correct the mistake. He eventually left and told us we could continue with 5 as long as we didn’t hold anybody up (we were a full 2 holes ahead of the group behind us when the first interaction started). Again, 2 holes later, he approached us again. He started by accusing us of being liars and telling him a “fish tale”. He stated that we took advantage of the other employee and that he didn’t have the authority to let us play with 5. We asked him how we are supposed to know how is allowed to tell us what, to which he responded by continuing to throw insults our way. At this point, with the two interactions combined, he held us up for roughly 15-20 minutes, giving the group behind us time to catch up. This gave him the opportunity to insult us more and inform us that we were too slow and holding up the group behind us. Another issue with all of this was we waited for the group in front of us...every single hole (not complaining, just stating that we couldn’t go faster if we wanted to). Finally we decided to end the conversation and split the group back up, which again was no problem, until this man decided to be completely unprofessional about it. As a non-golfer, I go out simply to play with my buddies and have a good time and I know plenty of others who golf for the same reason. It is very difficult to want to go back to a course will you not only not feel welcomed, but actually get harassed by some man trying to be a tough golf guy. I will 100% without a doubt never go back to that course. This is a shame because again, the course is nice and most of the employees are as well, but this elderly gentleman was easily enough to ruin a whole business on his own.
The course was in great shape. The golf professional, John Hammer is very friendly, outgoing and very helpful. Overall a great day.
Nice course but bring your windbreaker.
Very disappointing course. It's not in great shape and it's far too expensive for what it is. This should be a $25 - $30 course...tops. After we played 18, they only allowed us to replay 9 holes for $25... Definitely not worth it. Skip it and go to Mays Landing or Seaview (probably others, but those are the other two we played).
Greens are excellent here, great for practicing in the wind.
Great Links style golf, excellent greens. All around nice experience.
The course is in good shape. The front nine is a good warm up for the difficult back nine.
Great golf course, good food & bar, this is where the men's PGA used to play a warm up before going to Ireland because winds can be a factor
Interesting course but in terrible shape. Standing water on several holes they should have closed the course
Beautifull place to play golf and enjoy te weekend... casino... hotel... the best restaurant and funny With family and friends
Course condition is nice. Way too tight to houses. Be careful to not hit a house.
Nice links course, nice early bird special before 7:30
Great day of golf with great friends for a great cause
Very nice quiet course just remember you have to play with the wind here
Fair public golf course
Good time all the way around! The location, layout, and staff make this a terrific place to play.
Good, not great public course. Check out golf now. Got a good deal for around 30 bucks for a 18 ride. The course used to be private and when times were hard, the town bought the course. So the course isn't in great shape. The greens are good but were cut rather fast. Speeds were not that consistent either. No body fixes their divots or ball marks. No Marshalls out to push anyone. Sat behind a foursome that wouldn't let us play through (2some) and did a 4.5 hr round. Course isn't that hard but since it's a links course, you want to be in the fairway. The rough is deep and seems to be some type of Scottish style so it's punishment to be in it. -Skyhook
Links European style course, well maintained, scenic, highly recommend 9 or 18 holes
Nice course not to expensive
Good value . The course can be very windy
Cheap course. Wide open for the most part. Not greatly maintained.
For 78 dollars this was the worst course I’ve ever played. The greens were very nice and the fairways were decent but every other aspect of this course is so below average that it makes me sick. I didn’t even finish 18 for the first time ever. There is stagnant ponds all throughout this course which breeds THOUSANDS of mosquitos, they seem to be super mosquitos too because they swarm and follow you at an alarming rate. The cart parts are destroyed and make riding around uncomfortable. I’ve never left a golf course more disappointed then I did today. The people were great but if I were you I wouldn’t spend a cent on that course till they decide to actually take care of there land instead of being money hungry and over charge for a golf course which should cost at most 40 for 18. WASTE OF MONEY AND WASTE OF TIME
Amazing beach course, can't wait to play again.
Not the prettiest course but a good first round of the season
Worst course I have ever played. Paid for 18 and only lasted through 11. The course was flooded and infested with mosquitos. My husband and I could not relax as we were fighting off swarms of mosquitos every hole - probably ended up with over 30 bites each. The course should have been closed due to recent flooding it was under water and could barely hit your ball off the fairway without getting sprayed with mud. Awful!!!
Roughs were high. Fairways in decent shape. Greens were fast. Priced fairly. Could use some extra care. Overall good.
$85 is criminal. 13th green was flooded. Course was not in good shape at all. Tourist trap! This is perfect example why municipal courses are failing. Ashame.
Beautiful course
A bit rough around and the edges but overall a fun round with some interesting holes. Wind can be brutal :).
Beautiful in the winter
Great course, bring bug spray green heads are bad when your near the reeds if the wind is still
One of the worst courses I've played. Tee boxes are unkept. Distance markers are inaccurate. Mowed grass is left in clumps in the rough. If this was a $40-$50 round, I'd be more understanding, but a round is $85. I would not recommend this course to anyone.
Dining isn't worth it!!! Rude lazy service
Nice lunch and great atshompher. Nice out door dining on the beach.
I head down to this course once a year and always find it enjoyable. Canned beer for stocking the cart is cheap ($2 miller lite/$3 yuengling). Course is relatively well maintained but I'm far from a hard core golfer. The wind can be tricky since it's on the bay and some of the holes are long and narrow being a Links but it's always challenging fun.
The best realtors on the island!
I’m not a pro golfer by any means, but I’ve golfed enough to know what constitutes a good course and a bad course... This was without question, the single worst experience I’ve ever had on a golf course. You would expect a golf course to spend a little bit of time prepping for a big weekend like Memorial Day weekend. The landscaping was poor, but the biggest concern was the INSANE AMOUNT OF BIGS/MOSQUITOS. There is stagnant water on every single hole. This water attracts hoards of mosquitos. This is not an exaggeration, there were 10s, if not 100s of thousands of mosquitos on this course. We were unable to finish the first 9 holes before we were completely overwhelmed. Between myself and my brother who were out there together we have a combined 70-80 mosquito bites. They were unwilling to do anything to fix the situation. DO NOT GO TO THIS COURSE.
