This Golf belongs to the category of Golf driving range.
I played on the small Par 3 course on a wet day and I was surprised at how terrible the course was. The grass was awful and there was Canada goose' poop everywhere (including the greens), making me wonder why Canada geese were bred on a golf course and whether the course was even maintained. I attached a picture of the Canada geese FYI. The driving range looked fine but DO stay away from the par 3 course!
Really cool place for mini golfing with friends, we came at night and we jumped right into it. The staff is pretty chill and very cool when there's downtime. The mini golf courses are fun, simple and challenging. One thing I recommend is to bring mosquito spray, the mosquitoes out there are very friendly.
The short course is a disaster. It's not well kept. I asked if they had a push cart and the front desk said no. I turned the corner and there they were.
Great place to shag some balls and get a great round of pitch and putt. They also have mini golf.
It is really nice and beautiful outside and I like the mini golf.
This is review for birthday party at mini-golf. The place is well maintained and fun place for the family. I booked my son's birthday party after seeing mostly positive reviews. But I was disappointed at the service provided. It was my first time (and for most of our party) playing golf or mini-golf. We were not familiar with the rules. I asked the party organiser about what rules need to be followed. She said there were none and the kids can just do what they want. Later there were complaints from other patrons about noise and kids running. Had she told us that parents were supposed to be with kids all the time, we would have done that. She asked us to send them on their own and that they could have fun on their own. We assumed the place was booked just for us. Throughout the party, I had to run around asking for water, ice, napkins, plates, spoons, trash bins...every single thing. Nothing was organized. There was no proper help assigned for the party. Seating was not well planned either. I was expecting tables and chairs set aside for the party. But we were all scattered around seated in whatever spots we got. There was just one person serving ice cream/milkshakes. She was busy with other customers and took too long to get to the kids (by when they were tired. It was 88 deg on that sunday afternoon). Thankfully, Mike - the owner of Pizza Shack was very helpful. He helped with the food and most of the arrangements. He also gave us a tray of garlic knots (even though we didnt order it) Guess it was his way of making up for the tardiness. He also graciously accepted a change in food order (we changed the count of pizzas ordered) They even forgot the complimentary coupons - which were part of the birthday package. The lady in charge of parties was nowhere to be seen. I remembered about them only while paying but by then most of my guests were gone (though I sent them out later along with thank-you notes) If you ever plan a birthday party here, do not expect the kind of service and expert care you get in Diamond Gymnastics, Jump on In, Pump It up, Kids Ville, Sky Zone or even Funplex. Be ready to run errands yourself. Ask for the coupons. The manager even forgot that I had paid an advance. I had to get the amount adjusted when I went to pay the full bill. I will definitely go back there for a round of golf/mini-golf. But never again for a party. This is in response to Peter (Manager at Anchor Golf) - Peter, thank you so much for calling me. The fact that you took time out to call me shows your commitment. And it was within few minutes of my review showing up on google. A review serves its purpose only when the recipient accepts and understands it. And I am glad you have the positive attitude to see how a negative review can help your team get better. I understand we were at your business site on a busy Sunday afternoon (Father's day) and that you were running short on staff. We all have such days. Will see you around sometime. I am sending the coupons to all my guests. As I said earlier, all my guests were happy with the site itself. Only the service was a bit off. Thank you once again.
Most expensive range in the area and worst balls. $9 for 45 worn out balls is way too much. Too many cut balls Six months ago owner said New balls were arriving in a few weeks. Apparently they never actually arrived.
Very clean and the staff is Very respectful always willing to help you improve your swing
It was a good outting with the kids.
This is where u learned to play golf. The staff are almost too friendly, the driving range is beautiful, and there is even minigolf for the kids! ⚓⛳
They got automatically filling tees, very cool. Pretty clean and a bit of cover from light rain.
Well maintained, inviting range.
Pop up ball placement on the driving range means no more bending over to tee up your shots. Played screen golf on the simulator - good course selection, though the software didn't seem as good as others I've used, especially with putting and short game. The pitch and putt par 3 out back was good last time I played about four years ago, though it needed a reseeding - I'm told they redid the area recently.
Fun Place to hang out and enjoy. The Mini Golf was a bit rough dented cups and ripped up carpet, but was still manageable as well as fun. I'd come back here again to play.
Nice facility and easy access. The only drawback is the limited (2) lefty stalls for the driving range. Update: No more automatic tee. Stalls can be used by both lefty and righty.
Prices have gone up, quality is down. $13 for 90 balls is way too expensive, especially when the condition of the balls is downright awful. This used to be my go-to place. Not anymore. If you are going to charge more than other places, please give us some decent balls to hit.
Terrible condition of the minigolf course. Never coming here again with the kids. I think I saw poison ivy on the sides too. Everything was all mangled up.
good driving range, also has mini-golf and a new little pizza/snack shack, the covered golf bays can be a little short for very tall golfer's swings but they do have nice automatic ball feeders
Automatic tee rocks
Nice driving range good batting cages all around good place for family fun
Great driving range. A little pricey
A good stop to hit a bucket of balls.
If you are looking for golf lessons for kids, this is a great place! My kids are 5 and 7 and have had a great experience with several instructors. They make it fun for them, which is the most important thing in my book. They are also very flexible, doing lessons with one or both children at any time and frequency, which is great. The mini golf is also a fun time. If one of my children doesn't have a lesson while the other one does, we play the mini golf range and it is pretty fun and very affordable. Have not experienced the course or restaurant or batting cages so no opinion to share on those. FORE!
Great driving range
Great time with the family.
Great facility & they really know their stuff!
Awesome foot golf !!
I had my daughter's 8th birthday party at Anchor... The kids had such a great time mini golfing;) the staff is so helpful and you pretty much feel like you are in a family setting. It was an awesome experience and I would recommend you try it out.. They have a cafeteria there and you don't have to get anything, they can provide with all the food and beverage. Loved it!!!!
Soo cool place
Range has been improved from the past but the top level is slanted a bit and could be improved.
Staff is great, Driving range is great, Mini golf is great. Foot Golf...fun, but has room for improvement. The foot golf course is not very well labeled in terms of which hole is where and the flow from one hole to another is a bit awkward. On top of that the foot golf green is shared as a putting/driving green. I don't know of the sharing is sanctioned but we had to stop a couple of times.
I celebrated my sons 9th birthday on Friday, June 17th at Anchor Golf Center with twenty four 9 year olds. It was a busy afternoon with lots of people post work using the facility as well. We couldn't have been happier with the facility as well the helpfulness and friendliness of the Anchor staff. We had the boys using the batting cages (first day open) and playing soccer/foot golf. With so many boys, I had 3 other parents help to corral the kids. The boys had a lot of fun. Based on the previous review, I'm not sure its fair to the facility to blame them for children running around and making noise. It isn't an amusement park. Its a golf faciltity. Golf is generally a quite sport. You need to maintain some control. At the same time, other patrons need to understand it is not a private golf course. It is for families too. Practicing at prime hours like after work or holidays can be noisy. Go in the morning if you you want to practice in peace. We were there on a busy day so we had the boys walk in line between the activities as they had to walk behind the range to get from the batting cages and the golf course. We did our best to maintain the peace. The party space was great. It was clean. The pizza was excellent! Anchor provided drinks but we brought our own cake and snacks. We also brought a couple soccer balls to kick around and the facility provided 2 Cornhole sets. Again, our experience was great and I highly recommend it.
They use “limited flight” golf balls. Half are cut. Really bad.
9 dollars for 45 worn out balls is frankly a rip off. 90% of the balls are old and worn smooth, as seen in the photo. You can't practice correctly if you have no idea how far the ball is traveling and these balls have way too much variation. The other 10% are completely un-usable, with cracks and dents, you can visually tell they have no life in them, and I just kick them into the range, which is so muddy that half the time you can't see where your ball landed.
Love the fact that their batting cages are outdoors. You can watch your hit sail into the sky and land somewhere among the grass. Feels like real live batting practice. Not to mention their driving range and putting green are awesome. The food at the small cafe was also delicious.
The staff/owners have always been wonderful. They have made some great improvements to the site and continue to invest in it. I highly recommend visiting.. there are a multitude of options.
What's not to like. Golf, pizza, sometimes they play classic rock
Mini Golf, Driving Range, Paintball, Batting Cages, Burgers??? Honestly this place has it all.
