Great price & condition.. Kind of short..6220yd only @ black
Nice enough golf course design and the staff and practice facilities are very good but unfortunately the greens were in very poor condition at the time of writing this review.....they are called Green Fees for a reason and at 100 dollars even on a Sunday I was very dissatisfied with the greens....it took the skill out of putting. 40 dollars for club rental was reasonable.
A great staff, and best yards
Great staff, excellent facility, great course conditions and tough greens. A very enjoyable and testing round of golf.
A wonderful day in Las Vegas, the sun was shining golf was good, shot a 78, really can't complain.
Great course to rely recommend,
Staff was friendly. Greens were recently plugged and they still charged us full price. Nice course not worth $99.
For the green fee it's one of top golf course in towns
Beautiful oasis in the middle of town
My wife and I visit Las Vegas annually for her birthday (I indulge her gambling, she indulges my golf). This year we played Desert Pines for a second time. We had a great round of golf. It was a beautiful day in the low 70's the staff were friendly and helpful and we were paired with a local golfer who made a fantastic unofficial host (Thanks Ken). The pro let me "beat him" on a par 3 which enable us to pick up some nice bargains in the pro shop after the round. The course was in very good shape, very tight with very, very, challenging greens. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and are looking forward to returning next year.
Went to the range just another range nothing spectacular course looked very nice though
Course played very fast, done in less than 4 hours! The fairways are dry grass painted green. The greens were smooth and rolled nicely despite the poana. It was a good value for the cost.
Chill place to throw down some practice, and the range balls were inexpensive. The place seemed clean but I didn't use the restrooms nor adventure too far off my path. Will return
What a beautifully laid out track, every level of skill is taken into consideration by this Pete Dye layout, this course takes you into another challenge each hole, tight, with high risk/reward,it's greens never give you an easy putt. Do yourself a favor, play this one,mid priced, sure to satisfy!
It was pretty good only problem was that you were airing the greens other than that it was perfect for me not to snooty it was best i could expect for 79 dollars it was perfect for duffers like me
The Driving range has no equal! on the bottom range there are mister's to keep you cool and the balls appear like magic on your tee after you've hit a ball, VERY COOL! The course was a little short for my liking. but you can't expect anything much larger in the heart of Vegas which brings up another point the view's of the strip and mountains surrounding the course were AMAZING! A lot of Bunkers, Water and Narrow Fairways throughout which makes it all seem a bit challenging, but the reality is the placement of it all didn't really cause many problems. Basically LOOKS GREAT, and PLAYS GREAT Too!!! Can't really beat the price$ either. When or if I make my way back to Vegas someday I plan on playing again. BTW, the staff was extremely helpful and certainly catered to every need. Thanks Desert Pines for a Great Golf Outing. GO MIZZOU!!!
Top notch. All of the staff are very courteous and professional. Greens a bit rough(it's that time of year), but overall course looking good.
Another dead golf course
This place was awesome! I grew up just down the street from here when I was a kid and seen this place my whole life. Never golf did but I'm glad I did! The greens were really nice and the staff was amazing! Great course great staff and great food! What more can you ask for! O and the drink cart girls were really cute!
Good golf course. Plays through the pine trees
lay out is challenging enough and to have greens filled with divots and bird droppings makes it a real pain all around. Need to clean up greens, water less the fairways and try to keep the birds out of the course.
Wish cart cooler had ice...but jugs were full threw out course so that was appreciated especially with it being 103°
Very great service went on 4th of July shower definitely going to go back
Nice course. Great staff. A little tough if you dont hit fairway. Even if u hit it straight. U might be in trouble.
Stop by for deals and dining. Nice place.
Course needs attention great service fair prices
Well maintained course.
Great golf a d very inexpensive!
The staff was very friendly and I had a really awesome time my first time par'in it...
Nice layout, maintained well. Not too "Pete Dye", though railroad ties in some bunkers. A good value.
Great golf course. Driving range is just fair.
Course in great condition, friendly staff, great play!
This is a nice, yet very challenging course. The fairways are narrow and the greens we're fast. The staff is by far the friendliest I've met in any course. The flow was steady and smooth. But be warned, this is a challenging course, I would definitely play here again. Tried the food at the clubhouse, great flavor and great service. A great place to eat and play.
been playing this course for the last 5 years on vegas vacation this might be my last staff is always nice on September 9th played ok speed on the front 9 then came the back ran into on every tee box on the last 8 holes two sets of foursomes waiting to hit what a way to take the tempo out of your golf game. Then again charging full price when the course should have been better closed for maintenance.
My first golfing experience in Vegas and it was wonderful. Course is in great shape and had good service.
$9 100 hit away balls nice driving range
When you need to hit around this is the place
Very good place to play each hole is different and well laid out
First time playing this track, was in very good condition. Tested all your shot making abilities at all levels as fairways were tight enough to cause issues and as long as you didnt put it in the water or on the street you could play the ball. Greens were playable and in good condition. There was light rain all morning for basically the entire round but the was very little water pooling. Be happy to play this track again when I am back Vegas area.
Played this course in the beginning of November. Course was in good shape although the practice greens do not prepare you for the variations greens speeds on the course. Some were fast others were slow. Wasn't terribly long but the rolling fairways, strategically placed bunkers and undulating greens make it a challenge to score. Only major complaint was the lack of a course Marshall. My score went south as soon as we started pushing the group ahead of us who had two players that were clearly beginners. Rather than picking up their ball after hacking at it 4 or 5 times on the fairway they would play the hole out to it's entirety for +8. A little course etiquette would have been nice. Also needed a shower and the facilities weren't working. Oh well.
Very nice... Beautiful. Would have been nicer if a/c was in working order. Enjoyed my time there nonetheless.
Very nice course with a great deal that included lunch.
Great place to go golfing
Fun course
The employees made sure we had everything we needed for our meeting .The room was setup very nicely.
As a "Golf Wife" I know my hubby is staying out of trouble and getting great exercise several days a week at DP. If it makes him happy, if makes me happy and gets 5 stars. Plus I've gotten to drive the cart a few times, and putt a couple of balls... it's a pretty nice place.
Great first course for me in Las Vegas. Very well maintained.
Never really have gone on the course but their driving range is pretty good just to hit some balls.
Sweet tough track have played there many times
Fun course, target golf, excellent facilities and staff was very accommodating.
Had lunch here. It was good and so was the service.
Having little experience with golfing, we tried the driving range. The employees were helpful and even explained what each club is designed for. The only thing we paid for to use the driving range was the golf balls. $10 for about 100 balls. I thought it was worth it
Great time, lovely course, hospitable staff. Thanks for having us.
Awful experience. Randomly selected who they would sell range balls to based on race. If you are Caucasian, this is not the place for you!
Fun & good golf course.
Good food. Fair prices. Not too far off the strip
Fantastic course with great views! For a very affordable price! The course was in amazing condition here at the end of September. I played on a Tuesday mid morning and was able to get off as a single. Fast pace. Friendly marshals. Fun narrow fairways but not too challenging. It was Easy to ride share from the strip here, maybe 15min. The deal includes 18w cart and range balls plus lunch!
Course in good shape, pace very good, greens tricky.
Beautiful 18 hole golf course where you least expect it. Just a stone's throw from the historic Mormon fort... Where Las Vegas began! Challenging holes... Great staff... Great golf carts, awsome staff! Two story putting range... Inexpensive to get a bucket of balls and putt to your hearts content! Did I mention the staff!!!! Beautifully kept in North las vegas... Majestic pines and very green greens! Don't miss this course! And bring a friend!
Great course. Turned into one of my favorite courses that I have played. Willing to make the drive across town.
It was a great place! the guys were very helpful. The course was layed out very tightly. I will plan on returning. Thanks for the round Mr Bono! I look forward to another round soon...... Chris, Myrtle Beach
11 of us played golf when we were down in Vegas for a Bachellor Party. The course itself was in pretty good shape, the greens rolled fairly true and the fairways were lush. However, the experience with the staff was not so good. First off I booked tee times for the 11 of us to play and they charged me for 12 players. When I asked about it they said I was charged a no-show fee for the 12th player. When I called and asked about the charge they said they would call me back the next day to see what they could do, to this date I still have not received a call or any refund. I think its pretty sad considering there was 11 of us playing, not to mention the pile of money we spent on booze while playing. Secondly, when I first arrived to the course I had a bottle of Minute Maid Juice with me that I was planning on saving for the round cause it was about 90oF outside. The guy who took our bags said I could not bring my bottle of juice with me….UMM EXCUSE ME, I though he was joking!!! I cant bring a bottle of juice on the golf course, you are going to make me buy one for 7 bucks instead…WOW! When asked why he really didn’t have a good answer and just said we don’t sell that kind hear so you cant bring it, probably the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard at a golf course in my life. Following this altercation we decided to eat in the clubhouse before heading to the driving range. When I went outside to get my clubs again the same bag guy was digging though my golf bag, maybe looking for more stuff I “wasn’t allowed to bring on the course”. Never in my life have I seen such disrespect and lack of professionalism at a golf club. Out of shear principal, none of us will play any of the courses operated by the company again. There are lots of courses around Vegas...I dont need to be treated like that on vacation.
Haven't played golf here but the food in cafe is pretty good
Not a bad course. Mix of holes between open and narrow fairways. Just enough challenge to make it a fun afternoon with friends.
Three out of five is generous for this golf course. Best breakfast burrito I've ever had!!
My brother got married here. Wonderful setting and more importantly, wonderful staff that make wedding days magical.
On March 14th 2014 it was my 60th birthday and just the right day to play a wonderful round of golf at Desert Pines Golf Club. The greens were in great shape. The weather as usual in L.V. and the flight partners good players too. It was a pleasure to start this great day at Desert Pines Golf Club.
This is where me and the boys get together to hit a couple of balls at the driving range and decompress after a long work week. Not usually crowded, it's nice to come in and get a section to ourselves and relax. It's not the most world class facility, but it's cheap and the snack bar is easily accessible from anywhere on the driving range. Nice times!
Lights weren't on. No staff to be found. I called earlier and they said they'd be open.
Good public course nice clubhouse.
Had one of the most pleasurable experiences at this golf club. The staff from the time we pulled up til we left , were courteous, helpful, and made us feel like we were VIP's. The course itself was in great condition - tee boxes- fairways to greens. Will be back.
Nice and convenient driving range. It's my go to spot for tweaking my game. I've never had any issues with their facilities. Green fees are a lil pricey. But it's worth the price for sure. Good food as well!
Wonderful course. Very helpful and friendly staff. A great golf experience
The course was great, divots everywhere. Little pricey. Loads of blind shots. Challenging course
You can't beat the value. Tuff course to play. Great practice course
Good course staff was great. Very narrow fairways but fun cpurse.
This is so fantastic
Played last summer time. It was hot day. Too hot to play golf but we finished 18 holes. Whole my group like the course. Very good condition. Greens were fast. A bit hard fairway but it's hot summer day in desert. Very friendly staff.
The golf course is WAY OVER RATED. The school is a Demilitarized zone..
Can't beat the driving range for price
I have one thing to say about this course IT'S AWSOME okay maybe 2 things GREAT LAYOUT alright 3 things IN FANTASTIC SHAPE
Second time I've golfed here. Loved it both times. Challenging course. 10/15 minutes from the strip. Staff is friendly and helpful I highly recommend golfing here.
Service was nice, however food took a long time. Average salad with salmon, however the sourdough clam chowder bowl was extremely salty... Nice view of the courtyard and small pond.
Good condition when we played there. Great place to golf especially if you're staying downtown
Not worth the price. I have played public courses that have been better maintained. This course had trash everywhere, garbage choking the water hazards, and the grass was so hard it was like playing on astroturf. The only saving grace is that the staff was friendly and helpful. However, don't waste your money.
A group of us meets here regularly for breakfast because it is easy to get to, has great service, and reasonable prices. Never crowded.
Large and relaxing
Excellent
Always a great with their specials.
Decent course for the money
Best golf course in las vegas
Thought course was tremendous! I was impressed with how good of shape the course was in, looking forward to playing it again
Desert pines is challenging but fun for sure. A lot of water so bring some extra balls! Prices are fair and the Arcis players club they have is a nice feature. Staff are all very friendly and helpful.
Great course, well maintained tight and tough. Greens are a challenge with few "straight puts. Plus fantastic deal that included lunch !
Course in great shape. Rounds move quickly. Great staff. Food in restaurant was excellent as well
Professional and curteous staff.
Worth the price I played on the Golf Now App, (30) bucks any higher on the money line and the star rating would go down. I've golfed for 25 years now, and for the money, you can't beat it. Challenging course so you better stay straight!
Good rates for locals if u purchase ARCIS card, but greens have a lot of spike marks
Awesome course and great crew. Will deffinitly golf here again.
Very well-manicured Golf Course food used to be good but is pretty plain And over price
Fun course layout but the greens were pretty bad for 100 dollars per player. May be a better place to play in May or June before the summer heat burns them up.
It was nice clean. Friendly staff there if you have any questions? Or need help. Equipment state-of-the-art.
Beautiful course- greens a little beat up. Extremely tight fairways so be prepared - miss fairway - punishes you hard. Bunkers with 6 feet lips in middle of fairway - have to lay up.
Best deal on golf in town! Range open till 10pm most nights, except Monday and Tues (I think). Love that. Thank you! Plus the tee off mats have shelter from hot sun. And heaters for cold winter nights too. Thanks for everything !
Nice course
Outstanding! Really great staff, had a great time! Would highly recommend.
I love this course. Nicely manicured. Tight fairways, you have to be accurate on your targets. Lots of water. Good job on the maintenance team.
I really liked this course and surprised that it is rated below royal links which was ok. Having played all three in april 2014 I found this extremely good value. for me this rated only just below bali hi...its an interesting track in excellent condition in April and very tight in places so you have to be acurate....the holes are all nicely contoured...plenty of water to make life interesting.
Pretty cool place !
Only eaten at the restaurant. Use to have a great wrap but the meal has changed. Still enjoy the food.
Challenging course. Can you believe this is in the middle of Las Vegas? Your time on this course will quickly help you forget the worries of your day. Amazing staff. They have multiple beverage girls, fully stocked bar and restaurant till 3. I wish the Range master was out more. Other than that, awesome course.
Great course to play close to Downu LV!
Was very well maintained. Would have been nice if pace of play was enforced but other than that, the experience was great. Definitely recommend.
Nice course. Narrow fairways
Only one way in and out. What a nightmare for a homecoming dance!
A very lovely course for a good price. We paid 45usd tee time at 8.30am. The restaurant staff is very friendly. We come again for sure!
My friends and I played four days of golf in Las Vegas. Our last day was March 17, 2019. Desert Pines had the nicest staff, best food and the course was in great condition. Painted Desert Golf Course was also one of the courses we played. The starter did a great job. The staff in the pro shop were not friendly.
3.5 out of 5
Course was in great shape. If anything it was too wet. Staff was very nice. Very different experience than the typical Vegas course.
Price is good. Service is not bad.
Fun, tight course. Great rental clubs
The course is very well maintained, the only area which would make it better, is having a some one control the pace of play.
I talked to a "Jim" in the pro shop and he was a jerk from the start of the conversation. He has no customer service skills at all and it cost the golf course my business as well as the other 7 players looking to have a good time playing golf in Vegas. Way to go Jim.
Great course close to downtown Las Vegas. Friendly staff, good condition overall. Some fairways are quite narrow, precise play is essential. They offered electric "wake boards" to substitute the regular cart at a surcharge - an experience I am glad to have made (now I know I will definitely not buy one for my own use). No water bottles or coolers on these boards, no service cart on the course, so could only buy after having finished 9 holes. 3 bucks for a bottle of water appeared hefty, but our special rate greens fee compensated this by far. Will play there again, when in town next time.
Great course to play! I live here in Las Vegas and have play other courses but Desert Pines is my favorite. The course is well taken care of and beautiful. The course is a little challenging for a beginner like myself but this made it a lot more fun to play. The personal are very attentive to your needs and always with a sincere smile to go with it. Had lunch in the clubhouse after a round of golf and the food was fantastic! Big two thumbs up !!
Damn I'm tired of this place showing up on my rating! I've never been here!!! Fix your broken ass app people!!!!!!
For the straight shooter
Decent golf
The best value,,, must see driving range prices. What a deal. Beautiful Course
They let you host baby showers here
Nice course. Very challenging if you can't hit straight. Nice but narrow fairways, deep rough, including some natural desert areas. Fairway traps are hard as concrete. Green bunkers are in between hard and soft. Green are great landing targets, some especially soft, but are still fast. Beware of pro shop closing before 3pm including the snack bar. Driving range available late.
Very nice Pete Dye course. Short but need to be accurate with some narrow fairways and lots of water, especially on front nine. Course is well manicured, green speeds are medium, and staff is friendly.
Very nice so far the staff very friendly
Tight tight course in horrible condition. Fairways like hitting off hardpan, no grass. Hard marked up greens, impossible to putt. There was trash built up along edges of ponds. Just a general lack of maintenance. To their credit the bunkers were raked. Ovoid this course.
The very Swanky here this is the nice one of Henderson I can't recommend a better place to play golf all the Rings are just great well thought-out course well-designed going to have to earn your 72 to get through this one but it's well worth spending the time shut a 72 and a 77 got to get rid of that bad backswing
The automatic ball tee is gone but still my favorite driving range on the Eastside.
Had a blast. Not terribly difficult, nice par 3s
Come get your golf on, great course
i played this course on black friday and had the course almost to my self..the views were fantastic.the driving range was perfect.and the staff took care of all our need's.i paid $99 which i thought was great value..i also played spanish trail and bali hai that week and found this course just as good.all in all i would definitely go back
From the time we arrived and met by Bob it was great. The golf courese was in faily good condition. After the round of golf went into the bar for a quick bite and was served by Britney who gave us outstanding service.
I play at Desert Pines regularly with their excellent and affordable monthly prime membership plan. This is a beautiful Dye design course, well kept and has a great staff.
Enjoyable
Management is lame. But don't let that put you off. DP is a nice track. You gotta know where your ball going to land to enjoy the course. The greens are little tired, but the rest of the course is aok.
Had fun
Fun carnival course, good risk reward chances
Good course and staff. Will play again for sure.
Really enjoyed my time in the morning here, 6/15/18, played a quick nine, scared par, on a very tight course where accuracy counts more than length, the shots into the greens add a very nice touch of difficulty because of all the undulations, etc. This is truly one of the most well thought out golf courses I have experienced; it asks a little from all parts of your game, except driver, which I only needed on #9 against the wind and played a low sort of draw there which careened up the fairway nicely. The consistency of the sand, which i experienced only once on the final greenside bunker (9) was beautifully textured, just the right amount to be testing without overly penal. The course may play short from the whites, but the approach shots are no less daunting, I assure you. The greens are fast and true and tough. No complaints whatsoever here. I will be back for another nine soon. A very rewarding morning of golf.
I don't know when they changed management, but I played there April 16th 2015. The course was in great shape. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The only problem I had with this course is that it didn't play long at all. Anyone with a drive of 290+ and decent short game should score low 70s if not in the 60s EASILY.
$35 for round lunch and a domestic. Unbelievable value. The greens are usually fast but were slow during my last visit. Other than that course is in good shape
Long time Original classy golf club
It's a really fun course, target course with small fairways, extremely fun be prepared to not use your driver much
Great course. Check out the monthly range deal.
I had the privilege of golfing here on 6 July 2017. This course was a good value for the money in terms of condition, amenities and staff friendliness. I was struggling to keep the ball in the fairway and I was rightfully punished. The course is narrow, but it is VERY fair. This meant, for me, putting the stupid driver away and teeing off with irons instead. The greens were in decent shape and I found no crazy unusual breaks or lumps, bumps or bare spots. I was happy with my round, happy with the service, happy with the condition, and I would definitely consider playing here again.
Excellent course for your Iron play but if you have a consistent driver you can reach most holes with ease
I shot a 92 today. First time ever!!! Course is in great shape!!!!
This is a beautifully designed and we'll kept golf course. The facilities and staff are outstanding as well.
Has the best server ever Brittany G
