Great place to escape the strip. Well worth the price for 18 here.

Great sporty course although windy conditions. Fairways are lush and greens are well maintained. It was a good first experience playing in Las Vegas. It was close, 10 mins from Delano, where we were staying at.

Beautiful place, awesome staff, Incredible food, what more could you ask for!!!

When you die and go to heaven, this is the golf course you get to play every day! The layout is amazing! Yes it is a little pricey. But it is on the Las Vegas strip!!! As far as the poor condition that I keep hearing about, only 2 greens had some spots. But come on, it was 110 degrees! The conditions can get harsh. Other than that they rolled fast and true!! Nice job in the club house. I would definitely play again!

Rich Vessey

Sweet course, need a little sand in a few of the bunkers though:)

I don't golf so I have nothing against the quality of how the course plays, but it involves how the course runs it's business. on the side of the course where it is near the freeway there is no netting. and leaves it wide open for cars to be hit by golfballs. I have a sizable dent on my hood, and the response form the General Manager is that it is not their responsibility, it is the customers. I had called right after the indecent and asked if I could get the names of the people on the course. he said that there are 260 people on it at that moment... I'm sorry but an 18 hole course will not have 260 people playing at the same time. 3-6 is a normal group even i know that. even than I could narrow it down and figure who was at what hole. but he refused to even try to take responsibility or help in any way. he just wanted to get me off the phone. and for this I will now be going to every possible review site, including PR5 sites and adding negative reviews of the business . I called yesterday and if they want to resolve this before I get to the point where you can't suppress the negative PR (I'm in SEO I know what can and cannot be suppressed) I'll give it a day.

IF YOUR IN VEGAS PLAY IT!!! Clubhouse is insane!!! No range but about a 10 stall hitting bay into nets which ain't too bad, nice little putting and chipping area right by #1 tee box... The snack shack across from the pro shop gives you 6$ cans of bud light and it's Vegas so it is what it is but the food is actually low priced is very good for being a "cozy" little snack shack... The course is absolutely beautiful and the layout isn't bad for the land they had to use... Building up banks on the perimeter of the property helps with almost making you feel your in a different spot than right off Las Vegas Boulevard, all the palms are absolutely 10/10 and the white sand goes great with the layout, last trip the fairways were in bad shape but the rough very good and the greens ( which matters the most!! ) ran a 11.5 and were in phenomenal shape!!

Didn't know about the rating thing until just recently. Played this in March of 2014. Superb condition, but well BELOW average in customer service. I was living in NY at the time and hadn't touched a club since November. I took an afternoon tee time as I was in no rush being on vacation. I had a 1:45 tee time. I arrived at around 12:15, figuring a 5 star course would have a solid practice facility... Was I wrong....Range was a cage where you could hit balls about 20 yards into a net. The automatic tee was kind of neat though. No chipping area, only a putting green. No big deal, I practiced for a bit and just sat in the cart in the sun. As I was waiting I noticed that no one had gone out on the first tee and the starter looked like he was packing up his things. He left. So I sat waiting for my tee time. When there was obviously nobody running the show, I went over and asked one of the kids at the bag drop.."hey what's the scoop with getting out".... One said " you can go anytime". Would have been nice to know that 45 minutes ago while I was sitting doing nothing. The course was great. BUT...and this is no reflection on the course itself...WAY TO CLSE TO THE AIRPORT AND TO THE HELICOPTER TOURS.. It was so loud I thought I was in Afghanistan during the war!!!! I caught a couple of guys and they asked me to join. Had a good time with them.. WHEN I COULD HEAR THEM. When there was a plane or a copter taking off or landing it was IMPOSSIBLE to hear. Nice course, but I would never go back.....and it wasn't really worth $125. I play a course in Cooperstown for less and it's twice the course - WITH A PRACTICE FACILITY!!!!!

Such a convenient location right on the strip. It was a fun layout . The staff was extremely helpful and even let us demo clubs from their pro-shop on the course. Jeff Cassidy and Jason Van Ryn were extremely kind and helpful with scheduling all of our tee times and arranging anything else we may have needed. I had a putter regriped by Jeff and was ready before the round started. Everything and everyone from the staff to the course made playing Bali Hai an extremely enjoyable experience. My son and I look forward to playing there every time we travel to las vegas

Food was delicious. The staff were excellent in answering any questions we had, and dessert was complimentary. I would definitely go back.

Nice, quiet course that is well maintained. Wide fairways and fast greens. The south pacific feel if the clubhouse is a nice touch. The 16th island green is a terrific challenge.

Great course that was challenging and fun! The staff was super nice and the pace of play was perfect. It’s right by the airport so you might get some air traffic noise but the course itself was in great condition and played really well.

Derek Ferguson

Beautiful course, awesome staff! Worth the money even in the rain. I'll be back for more pars

Picked a really windy day to play so that was interesting. The layout is good not great so are the views. I mean you end up seeing Mandalay Bay on most of the holes and that's it. Love the par 3s on this course. 16th is a gem, there is always something about a good short 120 yd par 3. Now the best part which is why I have a 5

This course had everything I wanted and more. The course was challenging and dynamic. Also when I hit a poor shot it was impossible to be upset because of the stunning views that surrounded me. This combined with the fact that the course is on the strip made it a perfect sell for my girlfriend and friends (who are not avid golfers) to join me. Staff was great and the breath of fresh air (away from the crowds) was awesome. I would definitely recommend to anyone interested. I will be going back.

Fairways and tees are in great shape! Greens are in bad shape, apparently the Green Superintendent has been replaced because of this. Bunkers are not fun to play out of, avoid at all cost. Watch out for the birds, they will steal your food when you are not looking. Had a great time playing here! Staff was friendly and helpful.

Jason Decker

This is a great course. I travel to las Vegas at least once a year and always try to golf at least two different courses during my trip and after playing a round there today I'm upset that I've waited this long to book a tee time here. The staff was super friendly without being pushy, the course was in great shape, the greens rolled fast and true, and the course was challenging enough to make it fun but it doesn't beat you up either. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, and will make it a point to include this course in my rounds every time I come back.

It's like a desert mirage! What a great, fun and fair golf course. Beautiful conditions, each hole is unique and eye-catching. One of the best golf courses in Las Vegas and just minutes from the strip.

Ben Hampton

Course was in magnificent shape!!! Staff was very friendly. Extra kudos to the cart girl - they were out of non-alcoholic beer at the snack bar and the cart, but she went to the clubhouse and stocked a few of theirs for me - thank you for being so thoughtful!!! A great experience all around!

This course is terrible! If you like being distracted by commercial airplanes flying overhead every 2 minutes then you’ll love it. The course is decent and people are nice but the airport ruins your experience.

I played Bali Hai this past Monday, and although I have read a few reviews that said the course wasn't too difficult, as a 16 handicapper, I beg to differ. Loved the course- great condition (fairways were awesome!) with the exception of the bunkers. One would think that at a $160 per round that the bunkers would have adequate amounts of sand. Pretty much like playing off of hard pan. But, as I said earlier, absolutely beautiful venue.

Don Heckathorn

In a single word, TERRIBLE!! and I didn't even get to play!!!. I had booked a tee time for my sons 13th birthday 2 weeks in advance. I am a local and play a lot of golf and my son is a very good junior player. everything was fine until I received an email today stating my time had been moved from 6:50am to 2:30pm due to "March Madness". I then called to ask why this could happen and I was told it was because I was local and tourist pay more, so basically if your local your screwed! When I explained the situation and that 2:30 was unacceptable they had nothing to say. Its just nice to know that booking a tee time means nothing to these people and that they can bump you for the all mighty dollar. I hope everyone sees this and takes note. Bali Hai= TOURIST TRAP! Take you money someplace else.

Wife booked a round for my birthday trip. I played the morning of April 9 (3 days ago) and had a WONDERFUL time. Course was in great shape and the views of the mountains in the distance were spectacular. The staff was very friendly and I didn't feel hounded by the rangers (saw them maybe 3 times - probably due to the course being fairly open). The only "negative" I encountered was that some of the ball washers did not have water. Some of the washers also did not have towels attached. No complaints other than that. The weather was also nice (temps were in the 60s) which added to the fun. Course was not overly busy and there was nobody pushing us (paired with another golfer). Playing 8-10 rounds/year, I don't shoot that low (100-105) but enjoy playing. The course wasn't overly hard for someone who shoots in that range. Bottom line, Bali Hai gets high marks from me. The price, while higher than I normally pay for several rounds combined, was definitely worth it for the round I played.

I want to thank everyone at Bali Hai for making my 50th birthday bash a success! The whole experience was flawless, just the simple fact that the transportation to and from the hotel was arranged and coordinated by Walters Golf (Johnny Van Steenis, Casey Quinn) was a huge benefit. Anyone who has been on a guys golfing trip knows that trying to get everyone on schedule is like herding kittens and the folks at Bali Hai and Royal Links did a great job! Thanks again, Dennis PS - the golf was great too!

I thought it was really fun, easy going. Lots of airplane traffic over head, which I guess you get used to. The staff was nice, the beer and snacks were great, and the beer cart was usually nearby. The course is not terribly difficult, but still challenging. I love the fact that I could walk there from the Mandalay Bay where we stayed. I booked way ahead to get a good rate, but it was worth it.

great course loved it...played in april 2014...excellent condition so good played all the other courses in this group, but this is the best.....greens super fast compared to the uk. play this course last if u can play many times...or if u can only play one play this!

My son and I played there on 7/7 in the morning and it was fantastic. The course was in excellent shape, the greens ran true and the staff were awesome. From the pro shop to the starter to the guys and girls who cleaned my clubs, you felt first rate. I have seen many reviews about the constant noise but this is really a NON ISSUE. Yeah, planes are taking off and it can be a little noisey for 10-15 seconds but nothing horrible. It certainly didn't affect our play. Most of the holes, we didn't even notice it. The Pro Shop had anything and everything you would want and in fact, the course had a game on some of the par 3's that if you wagered any sort of money, if you hit the green, that amount was doubled for pro shop credit. Even if you didn't hit the green, you were still given pro shop credit for the wager you had placed. I was going to buy something regardless and loved this notion and loved it even more when my son and I both hit the green. The club house food was amazing and VERY reasonable. Not Strip prices, but excellent prices, excellent food and service. I would highly recommend the course. It's challenging but not unfair. I'm a 12-15 handicap and I found it to be very fair. Had a great time and will be back!

Coures was not in optimal shape, not bad but I expected perfect conditions after checking in and being sold on perfect conditions by staff. Greeting staff helpful on arrival. After bags were loaded onto carts, a very friendly course official introduced himself and proceeded the sell us on how important a caddie would be. He mentioned how the push and pull of the mountain along with winds and slopes could be a three club difference. He sold our sponsor so he hired the caddie, a nice kid but provided no additional help that the carts large colorful screen couldn't provide. At hole six, after being giving given a couple of miss reads for my self and fellow players we questioned why we needed the caddie. At hole 14 we quit using his reads and putted the same. I guess my point is you do NOT need a caddie, even if it's your first time playing there. Our entire foursum had not played there before. The course is pretty much in front of you, and along with the cart GPS save your money. On a lot of the holes you can smell jet exhausts, the course runs along airport. It took almost five hours to play, the caddie stated there's no rush. I'm use to playing at a better pace, not hit and wait. To end the day we planned on eating at the restruaunt overlooking the course. After waiting for ten minutes with no one coming to help us I asked the bartender could we get something to eat. The bartender advised there were no servers today and that would be him, he didn't know how long it would take for us to get our meals. Not really a must play course, and not difficult enough to require a caddie.

Nevada's Congressman arrives to Las Vegas, he meets people at the Bali Hai Golf Club for lunch at Cili's Restaurant. The Secretary of State is asked to speak in Southern Nevada. She receives a warm greeting at Cili's inside the Bali Hai Golf Club. I always look forward to lectures given at the Bali Hai Golf Club.

I played masters weekend here. Had the course to myself. I come from New England golf courses. I'm proud to say that this course is by far a champion course and not to mention the excellent staff. The course was in excellent shape. Only thing that hurt me was the driving range, was more of a chiping range with no targets. Was hard for me to see my ball performance coming from different altitudes.

A decent and pretty easy course. Rental clubs are all Callaway Rouge. Wow !!! Golf carts come with GPS (no need to bring your range finders). Narrow fairways but very forgiving. Service is good and staff are friendly. There are Drinks available very 3 holes. (You have to paid though) There is a PAR 3 where you can gamble up to USD200 dollars to see if you could be regulation on. If you win, you got double pro shop coupon and if not, just spend the 200 at the pro shop. I end up won 50 and got a couple of nice Callaway premium balls for free !

First this is a late review I played the course in July 2016, with that said I'll begin: fairways were greens were manicured perfectly. The greens rolled smoothly and I was lucky because the front desk told me that I would be the last person on the course for the day due to the aeration taking place later. But anyway , the greens and fairway were great. The practice range was more of a driving net or cage but the great part about it was the balls fed the tee automatically. With the heat and the dryness of the air that was great, barely worked up a sweat at the range/cage. The amenities were great with water bottles / troughs scattered around the course and the cart person driving the beverage cart continuously throughout my round. This was the first course I have ever played at where I didn't say to myself "where is the beverage cart at?". The course had plenty of challenges and the various lengths of the course made it challenging. Very scenic and reminded me of the course in Hawaii.

Bali Hai is a gorgeous golf club with a great design. However, the experience is completely marred by the (nearly) unplayable bunkers. Unless you are unfortunate enough to be plugged into the wall of one of the bunkers, you will find yourself playing off of what is best described as pavement with a light dusting of said. This was the case in May 2012, and again the case in May 2013. I have heard that perhaps the response is I should not have been in the bunkers in the first place, though, in that case, they may as well make them snake pits or tie up a few tigers in each bunker. While the greens were very unesthetically pleasing, they managed to roll true for the most part. Play the course, don't play the bunkers.

We had an excellent time at Bali Hai right off the Last Vegas strip. The layout was very unique and offered a good array of challenging shots and holes. Even though it was over 110 degrees, there was ample drink stations, ice, and visits from the beverage cart to keep everyone cool (cool enough anyway!). The club offers club and shoe rental for out of towners like us who did not travel with our own. Fairways (8/10) and greens (7/10) were in overall good shape when we played. The firm landing areas in the fairways made for some excellent long rolling drives, and the greens received shots well and stuck. Green speed was a little slower than expected, but rolled true. Highly recommend a stop here if you're a golf nut in Vegas.

Our photos from the course look like postcards you could buy in a shop! Course was beautifully maintained, surroundings picturesque, staff either friendly or gorgeous or both! I hit a below-handicap score, so I enjoyed myself, but even the part-time golfer in our group loved it. If I'm ever in Vegas again - I will definitely return to Bali Hai!

The course and the staff were absolutely amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better day as it was slotted to be a hot afternoon but ended up being quite cool with the clouds. I played from the tips and shot an 86 my first time playing which I was very proud of. The course isn’t easy but at the same time it’s not incredibly difficult. It’s a good mix. The greens were in great condition as were the fairways and the tee decks. Planes might fly over your head at one point but it’s so infrequent and it happens so few times that you might not even notice.

Such a pleasure playing Bali Hai, totally different feel for a golf course, Desert + Palm trees + Planes landing beside you, pretty awesome experience :D Clubhouse is amazing, pro shop is super nice. We were recommended to golf Bali Hai golf club by a friend who lives in Las Vegas and has taking me to some beautiful courses. There were four of us going to Vegas for business and staying fairly close by at the Trump Tower. Only reason for the 2 star rating is that all staff but pro shop were friendly and great...We were only golfing 1 round of golf this trip - so we also rented 4 sets of clubs. We had an 8:50AM tee time for four of us on Thursday March 30th, 2017 and showed up a bit early so we could possibly get out early to make sure we played a good speed. We teed up around 8:30AM. We were greeted very friendly at the first tee and told about the course and rules. We teed up - got to first green and it appeared to be freshly aerated (without being rolled). No Putting game today - we said. We were hoping that it may just be the first Green....WELL - that WAS NOT the CASE! It was 16 out of 18 greens. Half way through the round, the Marshall approached us about being 1/2 hold behind, I said to him - we are taking extra 1 - 2 putts per green do to the divots all over the greens...after the first hole the divots were about every 4 inches 3-4 feet apart. When we got done with round, I went into Pro shop to ask them about this and request why they did not tell us of green conditions. the manager in Pro shop said he want to greens in AM and "they looked fine to him". I requested that he walk out to the 18th green right now and tell me if that looks fine to him. He walked out of Pro Shop. When I got back to my hotel, i called back to Bali Hai Club Pro shop again to ask them what they were going to do? They told me that they were willing to discount my next trip because they did see that the greens were divot ed and stated that whoever rolled them must have missed a line (on every turn?) and they forgot to roll number 1.... I told them that that was not adequate and that they could go to management to let me know what they were going to do for our foursome. I called the Bali Hai Golf Pro shop today (#BaliHaigolfclub), and the response I received was, that they admitted error but would only discount a FUTURE VISIT? REALLY? I suggested they at least credit the $72.00 rental club cost per guest.... They said "NO" and did not seem to care that i was going to post this review...FUNNY THING is that I have spoken with both my golf buddies who live in Vegas - they are done referring people to this course... Sincerely, Scott Uram - Blaine, MN

Bali Hai is a genuinely great golf course. It isn't cheap, but it is not the most expensive course in the area and the staff is very attentive and tries hard to serve your every possible need. Land area for the course was apparently limited when it was built, so the driving range is only about 50 yards long and enclosed with netting. Although this is less than ideal, you can hit as many balls as you wish and this is included with your greens fee, and they use an automatic tee machine, so you can play one shot after another quickly. The course itself is verdant green with elevations, dips, rolls, doglegs etc., and the layout was well thought out so both holes 9 and 18 end right near the club house. In between the fairways and along the outer edge of the course they utilized raised sand dunes with some flora, and this is enough to keep all but the most errant of shots reasonably within the fairway you are supposed to be playing, and the grass is so well maintained that you rarely have a bad lie. The scenery with the mountains in the background and all the plants is stunnin and I could not help but think as I made my way around the course, how lucky I was to be there in this beautiful environment playing a game that I love. It is an average to modestly challenging course, just right when many duffers are no doubt a large percentage of your customers, and not very difficult, so as long as players choose the correct tees for their skill level, it should be an enjoyable day for everyone. Understand, that means if you are a male player with an average or better swing speed, , you should only play the back tees if you are a single digit handicap. Unless you are under a 15 handicap or so, don't play the gold tees either, but move up to the next set of tees. DO NOT SLOW UP PLAY BY CHOOSING A TEE THAT IS TOO DIFFICULT FOR YOUR SKILL LEVEL. This only leads to frustration for you and every golfer behind you who will need to wait for you to take the extra 2 to 4 shots per hole you will need to finish them. Golf is not an easy game, so give it the respect it is due, and don't play tees you have not yet earned the right to be on. This will make everyone happier in the end. I am not saying this occured here when I played but it shouldn't hurt to remind people about this. In any event ,the greens here for the most part are in really good shape and quite fast compared to most, but I expect them to be that way at all quality golf courses. I must agree however, that as many before me have already expressed, the major drawback to this course, is the inadequate level of sand existing in the bunkers. As you are not allowed to ground your club in a bunker you can never be certain what level of sand exists, and therefore to be a fair punitive area on the course, it is absolutely imperative that several inches of loose sand be maintained in each of the bunkers, rather than having players clubs skid off the hard as rock surface just a couple of centimeters below, causing the player to scull the shot, and endangering everyone in the vicinity. For the most part I found that the bunkers on this course were too shallow with the loose sand, and this did cost me a couple of strokes, so I altered my usual super agressive go at the pin at all times shot selection, to one that was more conservative and designed to keep me away from the bunkers, and I was mostly successful in doing so. The course was almost empty the day I played (Thanksgiving Day) and so I was able to play in under 4 hours which I really love because you do not need to wait around for long periods of time before you take your shot. It is also easily the most accessible course around as it is so near the strip, unlike most which are generally a few miles away. All in all it was a great experience, I recommend it particularly if you are just here for a day or two and wish to play as the staff is very accomodating, and of course I would happily return here to play anytime that I visit Las Vegas.
