I love the lodge, especially in warmer weather- the outdoor seating is the best in Lincoln. The food here is exceptional, but...it's also one of the most expensive places in Lincoln. If you like wines try a flight, you'll get a half glass of 4 different kinds, a great way to find new options!

My husband, my parents and I went to celebrate my husband becoming a citizen and we could not have found a better restaurant. The manager, Armand was very welcoming and kind upon entering the building. Our waitress, Makaila, was very quick, fun and great at suggesting food and drinks. The bacon wrapped rabbit was delicious and a special dessert chef Eric brought out as a congratulations was the perfect finish to the perfect night!

Food is good. It's a little pricey if you order regular entrees but the flat breads and handhelds are really reasonable. Don't bother ordering drinks they are super stingy with the alcohol. Father in law ordered a tall, got a short with almost no alcohol, my drink was extremely weak and my wife's wine was a pretty light pour if you ask me. Overall the food is pretty good and atmosphere is awesome. Just took away points for it being expensive and the terrible drinks.

Dinner was delicious and service great. Although the walleye was a stingy portion and I had to return my prime rib for further cooking (was raw). As we told them it was our 12th Anniversary, they gave us a lovely card and a wonderful dessert on the house: chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce (best part of dinner!). Beautiful venue! Will try again sometime next time we're in town.

The golf course is kept in excellent condition. Decent prices for greens fees and range balls. Beautiful clubhouse. I have not tried the food so I cannot comment on it. We recently played the executive course (called Talon). See photo. It was a beautiful walk and a quick 9 holes. We loved it in our time crunch.

One of the most beautiful grand log cabin clubhouse you will find. The restaurant has big game stuffed and on display. The course is home of the Huskers and boasts an 18 hole Championship Course and an executive course big enough to use your driver. New menu that's been in place for 2 weeks was to blame for dark meat chicken being served instead of white meat which was specifically asked for. Short ribs couldn't be cut with even a steak knife they were so tough. Cheesecake was very sour and had a strange texture and flavor. Service was lacking and not because they were busy. Manager was nice. We were not the only table with issues. At least 4 other tables around us had issues and items were taken off their check. Might go back for happy hour apps but never again for a meal. I've mentioned this to several people who have told me their similar stories. Not sure how they stay in business.

We had our wedding here on NYE 2018. It was spectacular and that was partly due to the amazing venue, food, and staff. We worked with Isabel who was amazing to help us plan out our event and stay in contact with. We had so many compliments on our venue and it's beauty. The food was also amazing and we did stations. No one ever mentioned our anniversary even though my husband mentioned in the note of the online reservation. Food was good, risotto was a little dry. Overall an OK experience.

I have enjoyed every round at Wilderness Ridge. It is a very challenging course with Out of Bounds coming into play on almost every hole. The pro shop staff has always been very helpful. Overall a great experience if your looking for the feel of a private golf course without the same fees.

Terrible service. Evan and Amanda are the worst. Evan took 20 min at least to check on us between table visits. Forgot my kids food. Appetizers were served 5 min before dinner. Drinks were never refilled. Amanda was the manager and was dismissive and a total millennial in her attitude toward our displeasure. She has no people skills. Evan was the server and should be re trained to be nice.

My boyfriend and I went to Wilderness Ridge for the first time last night. The facility is very unique for the area and absolutely gorgeous. However, our dining experience was very underwhelming and a disappointment. Our server seemed put-out with us from the beginning, and through the entire meal. We ordered tempura calamari as an appetizer - which came out in a wire fry basket lined with red and white checkered paper you would expect from a county fair... not a "Refined American eatery." I ordered the honey glazed salmon as my entrée. The sweet potato hash and vegetables were both cold, and both of those items as well as the salmon were quite bland. The salmon was also very uncharacteristically fishy. My boyfriend ordered a steak with a side of smoky cheddar mac and cheese and vegetables. He was also unimpressed with the vegetables, and mentioned the steak was fine but that he could order a better steak from a major chain restaurant. The mac and cheese was delicious and flavorful. We were literally the only ones in the restaurant until the last half our or so of our visit - and the service, food, and experience was overall very lacking. I wish we could say we would could say it was a great time and would be back (as it is a gorgeous venue) - but the setting just doesn't make up for their downfalls, especially when they are trying to market as a higher-end establishment.

Very nice atmosphere, I loved the wood architecture and design. I got the Hickory cheese burger and sweet potato fries, and liked it. Bud light draw was 4.50 so that was ok. Wasn't too expensive but the service wasn't the best, kinda slow when not a lot of people there. Outside sitting was nice, you can see the golf course. Overall I'd recommend it.

I went here to play in a band for a wedding and I thought this place was very cozy for the wedding. Nice decor. They had many rooms to choose from. The hall we were in can hold 200 people or a little more. Food was good. We had lobster tail and steak. The steaks were a little too well done, a little too dry and not tender as most people were complaining. The rest of the food was okay I thought. For entertainment they had a stage for the band but no built in sound system. They had to bring that in. There is a big patio outside of the hall good for outdoor parties overlooking the large mini golf course for some games and activities. Over all I would recommend booking this place for your next event.

Pretty course you probably don't want to walk it. There is some pretty long distances between green and tee box. Not crazy about the Friday pricing. Website said $25 for 9 and a cart. Ended up having to pay $41.00 for twilight with a cart and you can golf as many holes as you can. Kind of a RIP off if you ask me.

Being from Omaha I had never been here before and I was really impressed with the facilities, the wait staff, the menu, the quality of food, and the ambiance. It was a really really nice experience. Kudos to your chefs and your menu for being a wonderfully priced over all fantastic value for what was served. I truly enjoyed the experience.

For an upscale daily-fee course and such an extravagant clubhouse you'd sure expect more on the inside as it relates to customer service. I'm speaking to the golf side which is why this monstrosity exists in Lincoln Nebraska having been the brainchild of its most successful golf professional in Jim White. I've worked at upscale daily-fee courses before (or semi-private as they referred to while I was living in Virginia) and I'm dumbfounded as to they bombed the design of this clubhouse as it pertains to golfers arriving. If you want a smooth, paved walk to the cart staging area you'll the middle of the farthest south end of the parking lot which is a trek given the design of the parking lot and its many islands. Otherwise you'll have to walk down uneven stone steps to get onto the path that bisects the clubhouse from the driving range....if you can locate the handrail the identifies their existence. My biggest gripe is the service (or lack thereof) inside the proshop/F&B area. I can't tell you the number of times I felt like I was being an inconvenience to the young lady in the cafe next to the pro shop. A weekly crash course in customer service would benefit these folks immensely and even then they'd still need more help. If you can somehow escape the dumpster fire inside with your senses (and dignity) intact then you'll be happy to find a golf course that's pretty nice. I will never complain about the golf course. It's fairly challenging and is ALWAYS in great shape. Some tricky little holes exist out there which make the golf itself worth the while in Lincoln. But avoid as much contact as you can inside. They don't wanna talk to you either.

Lovely venue. Beautiful location. Bad food experience. We had a group of about 60 in one of their event rooms. It was lovely, but they were clearly unprepared for us. They set up three stations: grilled cheese, pizza, and pasta. The pizza was slow coming out and not nearly enough. The pasta was only manned by one cook who couldn't keep up. The grilled cheese was rushing, and either burning sandwiches or serving them without the cheese even melted. Wonderbread and cold cheese squares.

The unique rustic atmosphere and the general quality of the food is the draw here. An excellent finer dining destination for a young family or as a romantic getaway. Though the duck and pheasant where nondescript in their flavor profile the mushroom ravioli was an incredibly successful concatenation of ingredients. The menu choices offered many interesting dishes in each category with the brussel sprout appetizer being particularly delicious. Recognizing that no establishment is 100% spot on, this destination reaches high up to that mark. Excellent service at all levels.

Went to Wilderness Ridge with two co-workers and chose due to the atmosphere. We all ordered the tomoato basil soup. Soup was grainy with ketchup consistency, taste and appearance seriously lacking. Friend said her Caesar dressing was tasteless. I expect better from a place such as Wilderness Ridge. However, the roasted brussels sprouts were amazing as always.

Had the $34 prime rib and it came 1/3 fat and was very tough! My friend had a $34 ribeye it wasn’t any better! I heard this was the place that had great steak and prime rib. The desert was also lacking and know it isn’t any better than what Walmart sells! I m not impressed at all! I can buy steak at Costco and grill them 100 times better than this! Won’t be back!

What a great place to Practice your game during the winter months. They have heated bays for actual driving range hitting and an Indoor putting and chipping range. No other place in Lincoln compares to wilderness ridge. They are doing something right since the Cornhusker golf team practices there. Come out and join the club or experience there facility during the winter months.

I went here for a fundraiser as my first golfing experience. Everything was amazing here. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The course looks amazing with plenty to challenge even the most experienced golfer while showing a rookie like me how to truly respect the game. The pro shop rentals seemed to be of decent quality, and so were the rental carts. I'd love to play here again sometime.

This is one of my favorite golf experiences in this state. This state is loaded with great public golf facilities, but this is a cut above the rest. Great golf holes. I am never disappointed when the round is over though, because I can't wait to head upstairs and eat at one of my favorite restaurants in town. Also some of the best golf instructors around. Course is usually in great condition! They sunk a lot of money into this place when it opened and it has paid off. Gotta check it out!

My wife made reservations to come here for my birthday dinner and I did not have a great experience. The atmosphere was amazing and the bartender Jackson was very kind and friendly, but our server seemed very annoyed from the beginning. My wife and I order streaks and both came out wrong temperatures. Also, our soups came out with our meals. I still ate my steak but my wife sent her step back and it still came out wrong again. My wife does not like to complain so ate all the outside of the steak as much as she could and ate the side dishes that came with it. If there is ever a problem the server should always grab a manger and he did not. If I'm paying 35+ $ for an entree I expect it to come out right. The server tried to solve the problem with a desert but that does not make up for the overall experience with the food and service we got.
