This is the best golf course you can play for the value in the country(I would say on the planet). $54 for 18 and a cart, is an incredible deal. The course was developed by the same company that developed the famous Sand Hills course near Mullen Ne. The greens are PGA caliber, very quick compared to a normal muni. If you are in the area and you don't play the course, you are doing yourself a disservice.

A challenging golf course that was still fun to play. Went with my daughter and she was able to play along. Course offered some amazing views and is unlike most in Nebraska. I would highly recommend it be on your bucket list!

What a great experience for links golf. The course was in perfect shape, with wide, generous fairways and lightning quick greens. The real challenge in this course falls in your approach game. You will have wedge into many holes, and there will be holes with 4 and 5 irons into challenging pin locations. Whizzed around the place in under three hours as a single.

Fantastic course that looks like the landscape grew around it. The fairways roll out but are forgiving. The greens were tour fast at just over 11 when I visited. A much tougher test and a more authentic feeling links course than Awarii Dunes.

Great experience. Bunch of us headed out to the course for the weekend, course was in excellent shape for early season. Staff was friendly and the facilities, lodges, and course were well taken care of. Definitely will be coming back.

Stay 2 nights at the Wild Horse Golf Club. The lodging is everything you need for guys golf trip. The lodging was a main area and 4 individual bedrooms. Perfect for a guys golf trip. Included large screen TV, kitchenette and coffee pot. What else do you need??!!

Amazingly nice course for a town (Gothenburg NE) of 3000 people. Regularly rated nationally. Fairways and greens in great shape due to wayering. Design is interesting...no water m but many well placed bunkers in fairways and around greens. We stop here on purpose while traveling East or West to other destinations.

Without a doubt one of the best public courses in the United States with a friendly and helpful staff. The fairways are pristine and cut short. The greens are firm, fast, undulating yet true and fair. Multiple Tee boxes allow golfers of different skill levels the opportunity to enjoy a challenging round. This is a links style course with wide fairways that, if you miss, results in a severe penalty as the rough (locals call it Wooga) can be long and dense (which is an understatement:)). Although length is always great it’s more important here to know where to miss a shot, especially around the greens and approach shots. With no trees depth of field can be tricky until you become familiar with the course. The moral of the story is make this a destination course on your golfing rota. It’s more than worth the little extra effort it might take to get there.

With me reading that Wild Horse was rated in the top 100 in the US, my expectations were very high. Although the course was in good shape, I had played TPC Colorado the day before and by comparison Wild Horse was no where close to the shape the TPC course was in the day before. As I stated, the course was in good shape and for the price, a very good bargain but my expectations were just a little higher.

This course is one of the most incredible places in this state. Fantastic condition and lightning quick greens. Although I am not a huge fan of links style courses sometimes, I would put this easily in the Top 2 public courses in the state. Well worth the trip west to play here!

This course is a top course in the United States. The greens are true and fast, but truly the one thing that is undermined about this course, is the layout, the land, and the hospitality from the Gothenburg locals. A truly great golf course and a rare find anymore.
