Love the course, especially knowing it’s behind my apt complex. Was excited to use the range and play the course and the gentleman behind the desk was very rude. I called early in the day about tee times and he said, “it’s wide open, so show up when you can.” Got off work and showed up and he said I only got a half hour at the range and he barely got me scheduled to play 9. I noticed the weekday rates is $14 for 9 plus $8 for cart and That equals $22 right? I had 2 other friends golfing with me and he charged $27 a person to golf. I asked about it and he was just rude the entire time. He made all of us feel rushed to use the range and rushed to play our 9 holes. I really like the course and I would give it 5 stars but the staff makes it 2 stars.

Well kept course and they continue to make improvements. Pete the head pro is great to deal with and you can tell he appreciates your business. There is no better golf value in town than Johnny Goodman, although it will always be Applewood to me.

Stay away from this course! Had a horrible experience thanks to terrible employee today. We had our tee time set at the last available tee time before leagues started. We finished up the front 9 just before 6pm and come to find out they started a league on the back 9, and then tell us we can either play the front 9 again, or take a rain check. We paid for 18 holes, not 9 holes twice. So after we decide to play hole #1 again, we then decided to head over to 10 as we figured the the league guys were finished with the hole (plus we didn't want to go back through the front 9 again). After teeing off, one of the employees comes pulling up and starts yelling at us telling us we can't be doing that, and claiming he had people teeing off soon, which no one went up to the tee box for another 25-30 after the current confrontation. Plus, on top of all that the employee cursed at me, dropping the f-word. Needless to say I will never be going back this course ever again!

This is a great track, too bad the staff that runs it is horrible. This is the only course in town that will cut off the driving range at 5pm because the guy that has to pick up balls apparently doesnt work past 6. The busiest time for any driving range is after work during the week and Omaha tax payers funding this course can’t use it. Nobody ever answers the phone. The guy in the pro shop hates anyone under 55. He’s annoyed by younger patrons and often talks down to them. He can’t figure out a computer or a credit card machine and gets frustrated when you pay that way. This staff has to go.

Challenging layout especially from the back tees but can be enjoyed by golfers of all skill levels. Greens are large and have a lot of undulations so be prepared for some 3 putts if the pins are placed in difficult spots. Greens rolled pretty true, a little slow the day we played but fair. Well worth the trip, reasonably priced and one of the best muni courses in the Omaha area.

Good course with challenging doglegs. However sub par service, paid green fees for 18 ended up playing only 9 due to being pressured at the turn to rush our pace of play. Very unprofessional, will not be playing here again...thanks to Johnny.

played here last September, coarse is perfectly maintained, I play golf all over the country, traveling for work, this is my go to coarse in Omaha. playing again this Saturday!!

The course is usually in good to OK shape and is a a fun layout (tends to be very hard and dried out in mid summer. They load the tee sheet up way too full every time that I have ever played. If you don't mind a 5-6+ hour round of golf this is the place for you. The price is very reasonable.

I've always loved this course, I just don't play it often because it's always packed so it's hard to get good Tee times? The Fella that checked us in was wicked friendly and happy so that in it self is always a huge plus for me! (Especially as I ran a Lil behind Tee time schedule)!! The course was a Lil beat up but what course isn't! We weren't rushed for a group of 4 which is surprising on any course especially this one that's so busy and packed. I won't wait so long to get back here my next time around! Good job guy's and the Beer Girl rocks!!

Great course! I've lived here for 3 years without ever playing any of the muni courses. I booked a tee time at JG because all of the other courses that I usually play were booked and I am so glad that I did! Every hole was in pristine condition. The only knock that I can think of is the layout wasn't anything special or unique. Overall though I loved the course and was amazed about how good of condition it was in. This is definitely a must play course for Omaha and I will definitely be back soon.

Great course, but the cart paths totally suck! Bad, bad shape even with the some of the new paths they are correcting. For one of the best public courses in the area, you think they would redo all of the cart paths, not just a few.
