This was the worst country club experience our family has ever experienced. At a niece’s wedding, the rudest, most unprofessional staff kept staring at my family, antagonizing us. After hours of rude stares I asked a staff member if there was a problem. He accused my teenagers to be drinking alcohol which was false. One of kids is 26 years old and she was drinking not the minors. And if they had a question or concern they could have easily approached either one of the parents sitting at the table. This was a father and mother with their four kids in a table, not some wild teenagers. They treated our family like criminals for no reason which demonstrates both lack of training, professionalism and biased / prejudice treatment. I complained to an employee and 5 minutes later a man came to our table in a moment my husband was not present. He was intimating, rude and instead of asking me what happened he yelled, disrespected me in front of my kids and pointed his fingers at my face threatening to kick us out. It was an appalling way to handle a situation that did not even exist. There was never a conversation or question on their part. The most unfortunate way to end a beautiful family celebration. If considering joining a country club or a place to host an event, please consider somewhere with a professional staff, less patriarchal and chauvinist. I don’t think they would have treated a man like they treated me. The fact they chose to come to our table in a violent form when my husband was not present represents the view of this facility in regards to women. I don’t think they would have neither threatened or pointed their fingers at my (white) husband’s face but felt very comfortable doing it to me.
