Cheap and functional, but as I've heard it said many times, it's like holding on a cow pasture. Greens are bumpy. Mini golf on a larger scale.

Greens were slow and long, fairways were rough, and their information said there were pull carts, there were none.

This course has been cleaned up a ton but you'll still need to be prepared for lots of thorns, poison ivy and mud. Don't go unless you are ready for a lot of hiking and are with a group that can help find mis thrown shots.

Don't assume that you can have a smooth round if you are not a regular local. They will let a group jump ahead of you on 10 and they play slow and won't let you through. It's obvious that it's a civil service course.

the greens are bad , and for 30 bux I would try the course at Wesson before spending money with these guys. Seems to be a cocky group of guys who dont care to have visitors.

Played the course for the first time on Oct 26, 2013. Course was in great shape for a Muni. Only one bad green (14), but that's just because the trees don't allow the sun to get to part of the green, but management knows about it and they put the pin so you would not come anywhere near the bad spot so a plus for management for knowing where the bad spots are and doing what they can to make so people enjoy he course. I played the Refuge and Pearl and would recommend Pearl. Courses are in about the same great shape but Pearl is 20 cheaper and the people are nicer. I would give it 4 out of 5 stars. Need GPS for 5 stars. 5/23/14 Had to update my review. the last time I went there it looked like the course was in real bad shape. the par 5 5th looked like someone had a monster truck rally there. best bet would to go play LeFluers. Granted it is only a 9 hole course but if you play it twice it is only like 25 bucks or less and course is in awesome shape right now. plan on going back to pearl over the holiday weekend so I will update my review again.

Great price at 13 bucks to walk 18 during the week is worth a star. Greens roll true, but are very slow and some have dead spots so are worth half a star. Tee boxes are in pretty good condition so are worth half a star. Very few bunkers and look like they used to be very nice...no stars. Fairways are hit and miss with numerous bare spots and numerous types of grass lending to high inconsistency...no stars. One plus two halves equals two stars. No clue how anyone could rate the course over three stars...but the price is rxceptional.

Decent track, however, it would have been nice to know up front that the back 9 was unavailable. Therefore, played the front twice. Overall, average to below average course. Tee boxes need work, fairways are rough and some greens were ok.
