Located just outside Memphis, across the border in Mississippi, Cherokee Valley Golf Club provides for a pleasantly varied round of golf. A total of 11 lakes and 63 bunkers may at first sound intimidating, but wide fairways and not overly penal rough on the hole-lining mounds, ensures a fair degree of forgiveness for wayward shots.

Absolutely horrible. I was told they were booked solid with forsomes. I was a single and asked if there was a spot. I was told no. I went to the range instead and witnessed a two some tee off and then a single went right behind them because the two some didn't want a third. I watched from 245 until 4pm and didn't see one foursome. I hate going to this course for that reason. SMH, KEEPING MY MONEY IN MY POCKET.

This golf course has a wide variety of features that make it a fun and challenging course to play. There are elevated tee boxes, water hazards, and well placed bunkers to challenge even the best of golfers. Even with the hazards, the fairways were still pretty open if you had some movement in your golf shot. Greens were pretty quick and the pin placement during a tournament required you to place the ball on the right tier or below the hole for an uphill putt. Just a short drive from Memphis.

Great course, even in the July heat and humidity of northern Mississippi. Easy to find from Memphis. Signage for a couple of holes on the back was confusing (or lacking), but the course was in great shape. Really a fun place to play.

Visited Cherokee Valley Golf Course while In town based on their reviews. First impression was how welcoming and nice the staff was from the clubhouse personnel to the kid on a mower who happened to be around the first time who helped me with my line. (Note - Aim at the big tree). The course was in great shape from tee to green. Pace of play was good, good sandwich’s in the clubhouse at the turn. Overall great experience and I’d recommend putting this course on your list if visiting Memphis.

I’ve played this course several times over the last three years and it’s in the best condition that I’ve ever seen it. Greens are absolutely perfect; fairways are ideal; bunkers are clean and filled with soft sand. In a word, the course is beautiful. Big bravos to the managers and staff.

I really enjoyed playing this golf course. If you are an inexperienced golfer it can be intimidating because there are areas where the houses are very close to the fairway. I would also recommend getting a cart because the distance between a couple of the holes is pretty large.

One of, if not the premiere daily fee course in the Memphis area. The course is usually kept to private course conditions. Not what I would call a hard course at all, but fun with some modest elevation changes. The new champion Bermuda greens are coming around nicely.
