What an odd ball place. This place needs a manager to make it more professional. It's cheap green fees but you will loose balls because they don't cut the grass. Tight, overlapping fairways. Bumpy greens. The food is terrible. You couldn't pay me to eat that again! They close early, open late. Just a real fiasco! If your local try Great Southern Golf course. Their course is mush better kept.

I played 8/23/18. The course was I thought surprisingly wet as I did not think there had been that much rain but I was not in the area before 8/21. The course was quite playable with spots hear and there with accumulated water. I believe they had not been able to cut the course in the morning. I enjoyed the course. You can see some of the new cart paths and it looks like they are building a new pro shack. Except for the 14th green which had some brown areas the greens were all in decent shape. I would like to play again in 6 months or so and see how the course is then.

If you haven't played this course lately, you need to give it a try. A lot of work has been put into the entire operation and it shows everywhere. Fairways are well defined and greens have come around very nicely. Friendly and helpful staff with a great price makes Bayou Vista a must. Time for everyone who hasn't been there lately to come back and enjoy.

Played on. 5/9/19, staff was very friendly. Course not well mark, greens on the rough side. Wide open fairways. They are making improvements, in time it will be a great course to play. Will play again if I am in the area again.

Played here a few times and it’s a good little course for the price you pay. However my biggest complaint is that the course is poorly marked and has a horrible layout. Very confusing directions on where to go next. You will seriously spend 10 mins looking for the next f-ing hole!!

I give this course a three star. So in the future, I can potentially rate it higher. I have been utilizing this course over the past 10 years. From when I originally visited to now, it has improved immensely! New ownership, new club house, improved/replaced cart paths and new hole signage. BUT! The greens are to be tolerated. Not the best but hey, where can you golf on the coast for $25 (18 holes and a cart)? Looking forward to the future for this golf course, I foresee continued improvement moving forward!

The course was a bit of a mess considering all the rain. That was expected. Mostly the cart path need so serious repairs. The pot holes & mud was crazy.

Cheap enough and not too hard for us beginners...maybe it's this time of the year (early April) but the sandtraps need sand and the greens need more grass and less weeds...hopefully it gets worked out as the season progresses.

It's a muny...that I've played for years. Not too long but has some challenges. Greens were slow but spongey. If you play it down, you might find some tough lies...its a muny. But! There's a brand new club house under construction and efforts being made to improve course conditions and great for walking. I enjoy playing here. Recommend.

Nice course. Reasonable rates. Includes Military, Veteran, and Senior discounts. Undergoing new construction that does not affect course. Better signage and course information ... if unfamiliar with the course, the pin location may be confusing.
